Chapter 693- Magnetic Life Force

Night, it was totally silent.

Right when I was about to fall asleep, Stareye activated and the alarm sounded. I jumped back up and when I saw the huge alert in the sky, I said, “Stareye, what happened?”

“The magnetic field is in chaos.”

In the air, a 3D hologram marked a place in Suzhou near Shanghai. The magnetic field values were sky rocketing. Stareye said, “It is about to form a magnetic storm, the space structure is being damaged!”

“Not good!”

I frowned and wore my clothes, “Get the car ready.”

“Yes Pathfinder!”

At that moment, someone called in and Wang Lu appeared in front of me, “You saw that?”

“I did.”

“Come to the base and meet up with everyone first!”

“Okay!”

I opened the window and jumped out of the room. When I landed, the car was parked at the side. I got up and carefully stepped on the throttle. After heading out of the courtyard, I stepped fully and rushed towards the KDA base. I confirmed that there were no people and cars in front of me before going full speed and in just 13 minutes I arrived at the carpark. After heading up, there were already many people in the hall.

Tie Hanyi, Qin Tian, Haotian, Wang Lu, Yu Yi etc were all here. Most of them stayed here and I was the only one that stayed outside.

“Lu Li you are here.”

Wang Lu looked at me and pointed at the hologram, “We have received videos. The magnetic field here is damaged so we don’t know the exact figures. The experts are analysing it.”

I stared at the light figures and said, “Looks really strong, who knows if it would harm humans. There are houses there.”

“En.”

Wang Lu nodded, “We don’t know if it would yet but it would damage electronics. No otherworldly beings have appeared so we can only observe.”

Tie Hanyi’s gaze was cold and he stared for long, “Heavy weapons are moving over so let’s head out. The helicopter will drop us outside the range.”

“Okay.”

We headed out quickly and after boarding the helicopter, we left Suzhou and headed towards Shanghai.

“Shua!”

I brushed my watch and a hologram image appeared. It was the actual scenes that Stareye saw. A magnetic glow shone above a highway like the tentacles of a devil. One could see space twisting and it made it feel like one was dreaming.

Around it, many police cars arrived and were evacuating the local people.

“There are no signs of aliens yet.”

Wang Lu opened her eyes and said, “There is also no energy value changes.”

My heart beat really quickly and I sensed something, “No, I feel different. There is something and there are actually many of them.”

“What?”

Tie Hanyi was shocked, “Lu Li did you sense wrongly?”

“I don’t know.”

I frowned, “This is my first time so I am not sure. It was just a short feeling so I don’t know if it is real or not.”

“I rather believe it than not.”

Tie Hanyi said, “Wang Lu, send Lu Li’s words to those in charge of the area.”

“Yes!”

Not long later, the helicopter shook. The pilot turned back to look at us, “The plane is affected by the magnetic field and we can’t continue to fly forwards.”

“Manually land.”

Tie Hanyi said.

“Yes captain!”

Not long later, the helicopter landed. Tie Hanyi looked into the distance and said, “We have to rush over, head out!”

He sucked in a deep breath and his body was wrapped in flame energy. He charged forwards at huge speeds. I grabbed with my right hand and split the space. A white blade was grabbed in my hands and my body was spitting out Blazing Sun Energy.

Wang Lu looked at the energy flow around and followed. Qin Feng and Yu Yi ran too and all that was left was Haotian who cried out, “Damn…”

He used his qi and chased us but he was obviously slower than Tie Hanyi and I.

Around 200 meters away, the police built a cordon. When Tie Hanyi and I dashed across, the policeman frowned, “Who are you?”

“Let them pass.”

A middle aged officer nodded towards Tie Hanyi like he knew him.

“Time to go Lu Li!”

Flame currents surged around Tie Hanyi and he charged up the bridge. That jump was at least ten meters high. I smiled and stepped on the ground. In the next second I landed on the highway. Not far away, magnetic energy swept and I could even feel my hairs rising up. My skin was going against a corrosive force.

“Not right.”

I frowned, “There is something that is trying to invade the body.”

“I feel it too.” Tie Hanyi said.

I waved at the police cars, “This is too dangerous, don’t set the cordon here, at least a kilometer back. Quick!”

“Ah?”

They were all shocked.

“Listen to him, move back by a kilometer.”

“Yes captain!”

“Lu Li, are you okay?” Tie Hanyi’s body was covered in flames and he smiled and asked.

“No problem.”

I used the Blazing Sun Energy and even used the ninth meridian. I held Little White and looked at the magnetic core ahead, “Boss Tie, be careful too.”

“En, don’t worry!”

He waved and instantly thick Blazing Sun Armor was formed ahead. Tie Hanyi’s cultivation was based on defence and his armor skills were definitely above mine. In terms of defence, after I used the Ninth Meridian I would probably be just on his level. But I had LIttle White and the power to rip space. I had really strong attack and that was not something he could compete with me on.

As I walked close, my mind got a little messy. It was as if I could see another world, a red patch and spiderwebpatterns that made up that world. Right ahead, a ball appeared and on it were many patterns. The top of the ball started to open and it released a red light.

“Boss Tie do you see that?!” I said loudly, “There is something!”

“A life force!”

Tie Hanyi bit his teeth and his armor shone even brighter, “I can sense that it is really strong, Lu Li be careful.”

“En.”

I nodded and tried to sense the life force. I could sense that the energy was getting stronger and stronger. In a blink, there was a loud explosion and red magma was released from within. Along with some sounds, a huge red body shot out and flapped its wings. It could actually fly.

“What is this?”

I raised my hand and used Blazing Sun Energy from my fingers. I slashed and shone that thing that flew out. It was a flying being covered in scales. It looked like an armored pig that could fly but it had the head of a poisonous snake. It charged over and opened its mouth towards Tie Hanyi, spitting out red magma.

“Be careful!”

I shouted.

Tie Hanyi rolled on the ground and he didn’t dare take the magma head on. The magma directly burnt through the highway and it fell to the road below. Fortunately it was already sealed off if not it would be catastrophic. Tie Hanyi got up and his face was filled with shock, “Be careful, the magma is really hot!”

“Ang ang---”

Right when Tie Hanyi shouted, many flying beings flew out of the ball and flapepd their wings. They gathered together and screeched before charging at us.

“Be careful!”

Wang Lu shouted.

I gathered Blazing Sun Armor on my left hand and Little White on my right. After sliding to avoid two of them, I slashed and split two of them. They fell on the bridge and died but that seemed to enrage the others.

“Lu Li, retreat!”

Tie Hanyi punched twice and forced a bunch of them back. He said solemnly, “They can’t fly too high. The bridge is too small and it is dangerous for us. Go down and search for cover. Hunt for them one by one.”

“Okay!”

When I charged down the bridge, I saw that Wang Lu was still staring at the ball. Her eyes were filled with shock.

“Wang Lu let’s go, what are you waiting for?!”

“Oh…”

When the three of us jumped down, the flying beings also followed us, screaming sharply.
