Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 569: Multiply

Chapter 569: Chapter 569: Multiply

Her breathing slowed slightly. ’I... might have accidentally mixed my blood into it.’

However, Ivy didn’t immediately reveal her realization. Instead, she calmly looked at Jay.

"I need to discuss something with you in private."

Jay raised an eyebrow but nodded.

The two of them stepped outside the laboratory corridor, where the noise of the researchers became faint and distant.

Once they were alone, Ivy spoke quietly. "When the vial broke earlier... my blood fell into the antidote."

Jay frowned immediately. "Your blood?"

He looked at her carefully. "Why would that be valuable?"

Then he added cautiously, "And are you even sure about this theory?"

His expression grew serious.

"If your guess is correct, you might have to donate a lot of blood for future experiments."

Before Ivy could respond, another voice interrupted them. "There is a very high chance Ivy is correct."

Both Ivy and Jay turned around. Alice had just walked over.

She calmly adjusted her glasses before continuing.

"Based on my calculations, Ivy’s blood is indeed unique."

Jay looked confused. Alice explained further, "Think about it from another perspective."

She glanced toward Ivy. "Until now, Ivy’s abilities have made her completely immune to the zombie virus."

Her voice remained steady and analytical.

"If she is immune, then her blood must contain something capable of resisting or suppressing the virus."

She paused briefly. "That means her blood could very well be the key to completing the antidote."

Jay swallowed nervously. "If that’s the case..."

He looked toward Ivy. "We should test it immediately."

Ivy nodded in agreement. Soon, Jay brought another prepared antidote sample.

Ivy carefully squeezed a few drops of her blood into the vial.

The dark red liquid mixed with the bluish antidote as Jay gently stirred it until the two substances blended completely.

Without wasting time, he injected the mixture into one of the zombies inside the cage.

Several researchers nearby watched him with skeptical expressions.

One of them couldn’t help but mutter quietly.

"Even if he repeats the same experiment a hundred times, the result won’t change."

Another researcher nodded. "Exactly. Didn’t we already confirm that the antidote doesn’t work?"

While they were whispering among themselves, the zombie inside the cage suddenly began to twitch.

Everyone fell silent.

The creature’s body trembled violently. Its greyish skin slowly began to regain color. The grotesque veins that had spread across its neck started fading.

And within moments.... The zombie completely transformed back into a human.

Even more astonishing...

He looked almost identical to the first recovered zombie. His skin tone was normal, his breathing stable, and his eyes clear with confusion rather than hunger.

For a moment, the entire laboratory froze.

Then chaos erupted. Everyone rushed toward Jay.

"What did you change?"

"What did you add to the antidote?"

"Tell us exactly what you did!"

Excitement filled the room so intensely that no one noticed Jay’s pale expression.

Meanwhile, Alice simply adjusted her glasses and murmured quietly, "Interesting."

Ivy was thrilled as well. But beneath her excitement, a layer of worry lingered.

Her blood...

If the truth came out, she could easily become the center of dangerous experiments again.

In the end, Ivy, Jay, and Alice silently agreed on one thing.

They would not reveal the truth immediately.

Ivy had already suffered enough trauma from experiments in her previous life.

She had no intention of becoming a sacrificial hero for humanity.

Instead of announcing everything to the research team, Ivy decided to first discuss the matter with her family and Silas.

And that was exactly what she did that night.

When everyone gathered around the dining table, Ivy told them everything that had happened in the laboratory.

After she finished speaking, silence filled the room. No one immediately knew how to respond.

For them, the situation was extremely complicated.

On one side, it represented hope, the hope that humanity had nearly lost forever.

But on the other side... It represented the terrifying possibility that Ivy herself could become a target.

Just as the discussion was about to begin, Silas looked at Ivy calmly. "What do you want to do?"

Ivy pressed her lips together slightly before answering. "I do want to save humanity."

She paused before continuing softly. "But I don’t want to become some kind of heroic sacrifice."

Her fingers tightened slightly on the edge of the table. "If everyone can be saved, that would be ideal."

She looked at them seriously. "But if saving humanity requires sacrificing my life... then I can’t do it."

Hearing those words, everyone around the table nodded.

Humans were naturally biased. Not everyone possessed the heart of a self-sacrificing hero.

To them, Ivy was far more precious than some abstract idea of humanity.

Everyone silently agreed with her decision. Silas suddenly smiled faintly.

"What if there is a way to save humanity... without needing you to sacrifice large amounts of blood?"

Ivy looked at him with confusion. "What do you mean?"

Silas leaned back slightly and spoke calmly. "Can’t my Temporal Storage multiply items?"

The moment those words left his mouth, realization spread across the room.

Everyone suddenly remembered what Silas had mentioned long ago.

If they ever managed to create an antidote, the Temporal Storage could duplicate it endlessly.

Meaning they only needed to create a single complete antidote.

And it could be multiplied as many times as needed.

When that realization hit her, Ivy slowly turned toward Silas.

Her eyes sparkled as she said,

"Why didn’t I think of that?"

She suddenly realized how silly she had been.

A helpless laugh escaped her lips as the realization settled in her mind. Without thinking twice, she stepped forward and hugged Silas tightly.

"You are the best!"

Her voice carried genuine excitement, almost childlike in its relief.

"If one antidote can be multiplied endlessly, then we don’t have to worry about ingredients anymore!"

She pulled back slightly, her eyes shining with hope.

"And we won’t have to worry about the zombie virus spreading further either."

A bright smile slowly spread across her face.
