Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 633: Tyler

Chapter 633: Chapter 633: Tyler

And she knew no one here could harm her.

The man’s smile faltered slightly. Then returned.

"You might want to think before you say that," he muttered.

Ivy raised her hand. Snap.

A sharp sound echoed.

"I’ll give you five minutes," she said coldly. "Explain everything clearly... or I will personally remove you from this base."

Her voice held no hesitation.

The man paused. Then, he chuckled.

"Fine."

He adjusted his posture and spoke.

"This land... was a gift from my father. On my birthday."

His tone grew slower.

"Legally... it should have been transferred to my name."

His eyes darkened. "But the apocalypse happened."

A faint pause. "The paperwork was never completed."

He inhaled slowly, as if steadying himself, then continued.

"I owned half of the land," he said, his voice tight. "But the other half... required additional documentation. I had to wait."

His jaw clenched.

"Who would’ve thought... my father would sell all of it."

Ivy’s expression shifted slightly as the pieces fell into place.

She tilted her head, her tone calm but sharp.

"So what you’re saying is... your father sold even your share?"

The young man, Tyler, nodded without hesitation.

"Yes," he replied. "And now... I want it back."

His gaze hardened.

"You can take your base and leave... or," a smug smile crept onto his lips, "I become the base leader, and you can continue living here under me."

Ivy took a slow breath.

"Alright," she said. "I’ll remove everything and relocate."

For a moment, no one reacted. Tyler blinked.

’That’s it...?’

Confusion flickered across his face. ’She’s... not arguing...?’

He had expected resistance. But this... calm acceptance? It felt wrong.

Too easy. Suspicion crept in.

"So you’re just leaving?" he asked cautiously. "And... all these buildings stay here?"

Ivy’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Who said that?"

Snap. The sound echoed sharply. And in the very next second, one of the nearby buildings vanished.

Gone. As if it had never existed. A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.

Some stepped back instinctively, their eyes wide.

"T-That... disappeared...?!"

Others trembled.

Those who had doubted her moments ago lowered their heads, shame creeping into their expressions.

’How could we even question her...? This power... this control... Of course she’s the real leader ...’

Tyler’s fists tightened at his sides. ’Damn it...’

His entire plan crumbled in an instant. He had come here confident. Certain.

’If she argues... I’ll demand half the estate... Even if she refuses... I’ll still keep all of this ...’

But now,

There was nothing left to leverage. He swallowed hard. Regret settled heavily in his chest.

’I should’ve checked everything before coming here ...’

Taking a deep breath, he forced his voice to remain steady.

"Fine," he said. "If that’s the case... then leave."

Ivy nodded lightly. "I will."

She paused. "But before I do... I’ll need compensation."

Tyler’s brows furrowed. "Compensation?"

Ivy’s gaze sharpened slightly.

"I paid your father," she said calmly. "A significant amount. At the time, it was everything."

Her voice remained even. "So according to basic fairness... you should return that amount."

A faint pause. "Otherwise... this becomes nothing more than a scam."

Tyler opened his mouth. "I..."

But before he could speak, a sharp sound cut through the air.

Smack. His head jerked to the side. The force of the slap echoed loudly.

The crowd froze. Tyler staggered slightly, stunned.

"What?!"

He looked up...

And saw an older man standing before him, his expression burning with fury.

Daniel

"What do you think you’re doing here?!" Daniel’s voice thundered.

"Have you lost all sense?! Didn’t I tell you to behave yourself and stop scheming?!"

Tyler’s face twisted, anger replacing shock.

"You old fool!" he snapped, pointing at him. "If you had known the value of this land, we would’ve been the ones enjoying all this!"

His voice rose, filled with resentment. "But because of your stupidity... you gave it away!"

A heavy silence followed. Ivy watched quietly.

Then, she spoke.

"Do you really believe... this base is safe because of the land?"

Tyler let out a sharp laugh.

"Of course it is," he said mockingly. "At least you’re not pretending otherwise."

He looked at her seriously.

"This land has always been special. That’s why it stayed untouched while everything else collapsed."

Ivy chuckled softly. "Is that what you think?"

She raised her hand. Snap. A subtle shift occurred.

The temperature rose slightly, a controlled warmth spreading evenly across the area.

People blinked in surprise.

"Why does it suddenly feel... regulated again?"

"It’s like before ..."

Murmurs spread quickly. Tyler’s expression froze.

His face paled.

’This... isn’t the land ...’

Slowly, realization dawned.

His eyes moved from Ivy... to his father... then back again.

Daniel remained silent. Tyler’s heart sank.

’So I was wrong... about everything ...’

Anger flared again, but this time, it was mixed with helplessness.

His only advantage was gone.

After a long pause, he spoke again, his voice lower now.

"Even so... we can still work together," he said. "I can share the land with you. You can expand your base."

Ivy frowned slightly. "I’m not interested."

Her tone was firm. "I’ll simply buy nearby plots."

She tilted her head slightly.

"And I’m quite sure someone else will sell them for a much lower price."

Tyler’s face drained of color.

’No...’

He had hoped to negotiate. To gain something.

But now, even that option was slipping away.

Taking a shaky breath, he spoke again, his voice no longer arrogant.

"Is there... anything you can offer me?" he asked, almost reluctantly. "Any kind of compensation?"

Ivy looked at him for a moment. Then shook her head.

"There is something I can give you. A finger," she said.

A brief pause. "But it’s the middle one."

With that, she turned and walked away.

A soft wave of laughter spread through the crowd, unable to hold back anymore.

Tyler stood frozen, his expression stiff, humiliation burning across his face.

Nearby, Daniel clenched his fists, anger still simmering within him.

"You!"

But before he could continue, he stopped himself.

Instead of arguing further, he turned. And followed Ivy.

Quickly.
