Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 803: Nanami's Trap

Chapter 803: Chapter 803: Nanami’s Trap

When no response came from Nanami, Silas immediately began singing his sad song again.

Nanami’s expression became increasingly speechless.

‘So he was just waiting for me to leave so that he could continue singing those ridiculous old songs.’

With that thought, Nanami finally turned around and walked out of Silas’s house.

The cool air outside brushed against his face as he headed toward his own spaceship, still unable to understand what had happened.

Asher, on the other hand, remained inside.

He took a deep breath and looked toward the recording device he had been controlling. The recording clearly showed Silas’s entire performance.

Asher slowly released the breath he had been holding.

‘Thankfully, he actually believed it.’

Meanwhile, Silas and Ivy stayed together until evening before Silas finally prepared to leave.

He looked at Ivy with a reluctant expression.

“If this Nanami cannot be controlled, then we should simply leave him here, or kill him when we find a better opportunity. However, if he can be controlled, then we should leave for the planet as soon as possible.”

Ivy nodded thoughtfully.

“Let us wait for my system’s temporal storage to wake up. Once that happens, we will not have to worry about running into any kind of trouble.”

Silas agreed with her.

“All right.”

Not long afterward, Silas arrived at the usual location where Nanami had been waiting for him.

The evening air had grown cooler, and faint shadows stretched across the ground as Nanami looked at Silas with an expression of curiosity.

“Today, you were acting very strangely. Can you sing that heartbroken song again, the one you were singing earlier?”

Silas calmly uttered, “Song? What song? I don’t remember.”

“The one you were singing in the bathroom.” Nanami pretended to act innocent.

“You must have misheard it.” Silas insisted.

Nanami paused for a moment before smiling without saying anything.

Silas, on the other hand, remained composed as he continued, “I have already talked with Ivy, but it looks like she is not planning to drop Jade.”

Hearing those words, a heavy silence settled between them. After a moment, Nanami finally spoke.

“Why not just stop listening to her? It is not as though she would become furious to the point of asking for a divorce.”

Silas did not respond immediately. His expression remained calm, but there was a faint sharpness in his eyes.

“Nanami, don’t forget this. My wife is more important to me than anything else.”

Nanami sighed, his shoulders dropping slightly as he realized that there was no point in arguing further.

“I understand. I overstepped. All right, then, I will not interfere. However, I will tell you something. If you do not take trusted people with you on the spaceship, then you will definitely end up dead.”

Silas merely gave him a faint nod.

After Nanami left, Silas remained where he was for a while. The quiet atmosphere around him suddenly felt oppressive, and he slowly clenched his fist as countless possibilities began to whirl through his mind.

‘There has to be something more to this.’

Meanwhile, Nanami returned to his spaceship and walked toward a specific room. Once he entered, he carefully closed the door behind him. After closing his eyes and creating a mental barrier around himself, he slowly began to chant a spell.

The next second, a voice echoed directly inside his mind. “How did everything go?”

Nanami remained silent for several moments before finally responding.

“I started creating a disturbance on their end, but from the looks of it, both husband and wife are extremely close to each other. It is becoming increasingly difficult to take them down. I would suggest that we attack them directly.”

There was silence on the other end. After a few moments, the voice finally responded.

“All right, then. Do it. But remember this, Nanami. You have to make sure that Ivy sits on the throne.”

Nanami nodded slowly.

Meanwhile, Silas returned to Asher’s apartment. From there, he directly entered his temporal storage, which was connected to Ivy’s temporal storage.

Ivy had been waiting for him.

The moment she saw him, she walked toward him and wrapped her arms around him.

“So, what did you understand?”

Silas hugged Ivy back, feeling the familiar warmth of her body against his chest.

“I have three possibilities in my mind, and all three of them fill me with fury.”

Ivy pulled back slightly and looked at him curiously.

Silas continued, “The first possibility is that he has started to like you and is planning to create a disturbance between our marriage precisely because he wants to take my place.”

Ivy immediately pouted.

“You might consider me beautiful, but I am not that beautiful to the point that everyone would simply fall in love with me.”

Silas chuckled softly. “That is what you think. You are the most lovable person I have ever met.”

Ivy’s cheeks immediately turned red. She lowered her gaze for a moment before looking back at him.

“All right, then. Tell me about the second possibility.”

Silas’s expression became serious again.

“The second possibility is that Jade is indeed a traitor.”

For a moment, Ivy became silent. She seemed to carefully consider his words before shaking her head.

“I honestly do not think Jade is that kind of person.”

Silas paused before nodding.

“All right. My third possibility is that Nanami wants to marry you, but not because of any genuine feelings of love. Rather, he thinks that once you take the throne, he will become your husband, and in that way, he will be able to rule alongside you. If that happens, no one would be able to stop him from conducting whatever experiments he wants.”

Ivy slowly nodded.

“Well, that is quite possible. Perhaps that is why he is deliberately creating trouble between us.”

Silas shook his head.

“But then again, I cannot understand him. He is already exposing himself and making himself look like a villain. You would never fall in love with someone who behaves like that. So, it is truly strange.”

Ivy paused, her fingers lightly brushing against the fabric of his clothes as she thought.

“Well, maybe there might be some twist or turn that we are not aware of, but we already know his general intention. Either he wants us to separate, or he genuinely suspects Jade.”

Taking a deep breath, Ivy looked at Silas and pouted.

“I genuinely think that we should not travel with him anymore. I have been told the same thing by others as well.”

Silas nodded slowly.

“The only way to do that would be to kill him and take over his spaceship. But the guy who was smart enough to kill someone like Tammy and Coco could not possibly be stupid enough to make such an obvious move.”

Ivy nodded, her expression becoming troubled.

“What a strange problem. If we do not get out of this deadlock, the superior beings will eventually reach us. But if we simply trust him blindly, we will be the ones who suffer.”

Silas nodded, and the two of them remained there in silence for some time.

After discussing the matter a little longer, they eventually entered Ivy’s temporal storage room and lay down to sleep.

While all of this was happening, there was someone else who was gradually becoming furious, and that person was none other than Jackson.

For the past few days, he had been constantly lingering near Danielle’s room in the hope that he would eventually catch her and have a chance to talk to her. However, for some inexplicable reason, she had become like a slippery eel, somehow managing to get away every single time she saw him.

It had reached the point where Jackson had even begun wondering whether she could track him somehow and was therefore able to effortlessly move away before he could approach her.

‘How is she always one step ahead of me?’

Finally, after repeatedly failing to reach Danielle outside her apartment, Jackson decided to visit her office instead.

As he lingered there for several days, he noticed a woman who seemed to be constantly searching for someone as well. At first, he did not pay much attention to her, assuming that she was simply another person waiting for someone.

However, one day, when Jackson arrived at the office, he discovered that the woman was standing in the exact spot where he usually waited.

She was murmuring angrily under her breath.

“Danielle, just you wait. I will definitely catch you today and teach you a good lesson.”
