Chapter 672: The Lin’an City Base’s Subbase ( 9 )

After reaching an agreement, Jin Xuyan left with his fiancée, while Xie Zhou began issuing orders to his subordinates.

During dinner, the Phantom Team gathered together, and Jin Xuyan said, "Tomorrow, our team will continue clearing zombies and collecting supplies."

"The wood-type and earth-type members will stay behind to help build the wall. We must finish it before the end of this month," he added.

Although the members didn’t know why their Captain was in such a hurry, they didn’t question him. "Understood," they replied in unison.

After dinner, everyone went to shower and rest early. With Xie Zhou’s people patrolling the surrounding area, the Phantom Team was finally able to enjoy a good night’s rest.

At midnight, Wen Kai and his family had just returned from delivering another batch of supplies to the survivors. By now, the news about the new base had spread.

Most of the survivors had already learned about this matter and agreed to relocate. Besides the Base Leader and his trusted people, a large group of guards also agreed to join the new base.

At that moment, the Wen family was resting while Wen Kai was making a phone call. After several rings, the call was picked up, and Jin Xuyan’s voice was heard.

"Wen Kai, how is the situation on your side?"

"Captain, everything is going according to our plan. We are ready to relocate," Wen Kai reported in a low voice.

"I will send Old Qin and some members to pick you up tomorrow at five o’clock."

After hanging up the call, Wen Kai went to take a short nap.

At two o’clock in the morning, he woke his family and said in a low voice, "Everyone, get ready. My team will pick us up at five o’clock. We have to inform everyone and leave at four o’clock."

The moment they heard this, Jia Liufei’s drowsiness disappeared instantly. She looked at her son and asked, "Ah Kai, did your Captain tell you where to meet?"

Wen Kai thought for a moment and replied, "There is an open area behind the train station. We will go there and wait. With Luzi’s ability, he will be able to find us."

Hearing this, everyone nodded. After several days, Wen Fuhua and Lu Jiaojiao finally learned about the Green Lake Base.

As the sun rose on the eastern horizon, a large group of people had already gathered at the open area behind the train station. Wen Kai checked his watch and looked into the distance.

At four forty-five in the morning, they saw several military choppers flying toward them. Fortunately, the area was far from the train station, so the loud sound of the propellers did not alarm the Base Leader and his people.

Everyone watched the choppers land with anticipation. After the engines were turned off, the doors opened, and Qin Luzi stepped out of the chopper.

He walked toward Wen Kai and said, "The Captain sent me, Yixie, Sikai, and Brother Gao to pick you up. Is everyone here?"

Wen Kai nodded and replied, "Besides the Base Leader and his men, everyone is here."

"Let’s move out."

Under the Phantom Team members’ orders, everyone boarded the military choppers in an orderly manner. Thirty minutes later, 4 military choppers left the area and flew toward Jinxing City.

It took them 5 trips to relocate everyone. Fortunately, the distance was short, and each round trip only took forty minutes.

By the time the people at the train station noticed something was wrong, the last batch of survivors had already arrived at the Green Lake Base.

After disembarking from the military choppers, they were led to the public hall, where all the survivors gathered.

Standing on the stage, Xie Zhou glanced at the crowd below. Judging by the number, he roughly estimated that there were more than 2,000 survivors.

Although they doubted whether this young man could manage the base better than their previous Base Leader, no one dared to voice their concerns when they saw the large group of guards standing nearby.

Each guard held a rifle, with a blade tied at their waist. Compared to the guards at the train station, these men were clearly stronger and better trained.
