The moment she heard Wen Chang’s words, Lu Jiaojiao’s eyes lit up. She turned to her cousin and asked, "Brother, do you have a way?"
"There is a lot of work that doesn’t require you to have any skills. You can work in the cafeteria to wash dishes. If you are unwilling, you can also help others wash their clothes and get paid daily," Wen Chang replied.
When she heard this, Lu Jiaojiao pouted and said, "Brother, if I do those rough jobs, my hands will be ruined. What’s more, if someone I know sees me doing that kind of job, I won’t have any face to go out anymore!"

Lu Jiaojiao’s face turned pale when she heard his blatant words.
She thought that even if everyone knew what happened back then, now that most of their family members were dead, they wouldn’t bring this matter up anymore to keep the family’s harmony.
She looked down on the Wen family because their status was far below the Lu family and rarely visited them, even during holidays.
Because of her mother’s background, she was always ridiculed by her paternal cousins. Since she couldn’t do anything to them, she could only blame her maternal family. It was their fault for being useless.
But after the apocalypse, everything changed instantly.
Her paternal family was destroyed, as most of them turned into zombies. Those who managed to survive the mutation were either killed by the zombies or joined others and abandoned their families.
While the Wen family was doing better and better, with the addition of Wen Kai and Wen Mo as members of the Phantom Team, their future was unlimited.
She knew that what Wen Chang said was the truth, but she didn’t want to accept it. Feeling humiliated and angry, Lu Jiaojiao stood up and said, "Since I’m not welcome here, I won’t stay any longer."
"From today onward, I will have nothing to do with your Wen family. Whatever glory and wealth I have in the future, you will never get a part of it!"
After she finished her words, she stormed out of the apartment. As the door closed with a loud bang, Wen Fusen looked at his son and said, "Ah Chang, no matter what, she is your sister. Your words are too hurtful."

Because of this matter, the discussion ended abruptly. Noticing everyone’s discomfort, he stood up and said, "I will go find more information about the job."
Hearing this, Yun Ximei smiled and said, "Go ahead. If you see Jiaojiao, don’t argue with her anymore. She is a girl, and it’s not safe for her to wander outside alone."
Wen Chang let out a long sigh and nodded. "I know. I will bring her back if I see her."
After leaving these words, he left the apartment and went to the central management building. Thanks to the Phantom Team’s reputation, most of the people working for the base knew about the Wen family.
When he arrived at the entrance of the central management building, one of the guards greeted him with a smile. "Comrade Wen, what brings you here today?"
