Chapter 712: The Mountain Base

Xun Che checked his watch and said, "If there is nothing else, we will stop here today." He waited for a moment, and when he saw that no one had anything else to report, he stood up and left the meeting room.

After he left, everyone packed up their things and left one after another. It was already November 12th, and they didn’t have much time left to prepare for winter, so everyone was in a hurry.

The meat and fish used by the cafeteria were mutant animals caught by mercenary teams from outside, so the meat dishes served there depended on available ingredients.

Since she had to prepare Xun Che’s meal separately and the ingredients given by the base were limited, she could only buy her lunch from the cafeteria.

When Xun Che saw that her meal was different from his, he finally asked, "You didn’t cook an extra portion for yourself?"

Shang Yuanling shook her head and replied, "The ingredients given to me were limited. It was only enough for 1 portion."

When the guards standing on the watchtower saw them, they quickly informed their Captain. Soon after, the sound of heavy chains clanking echoed through the mountainous area, followed by the heavy metal gates opening slowly.

5 minutes later, a group of people, led by Li Jing, walked out of the base and waited at the entrance.

The guard nodded and replied, "Understood."

Unlike other bases, the Mountain Base was built in the middle of a mountainous area and hidden from the outside.
