The whip hit the mutant fish, but it failed to injure it. Surprised by how thick the skin was, Shang Yuanling almost got hit by the mutant fish’s tail.

When Cheng Rui and Cheng Yue saw this, they were stunned. They never expected her to be so good at using her whip. They exchanged glances and nodded.
After the mutant fish was killed, Cheng Yue used a rope to tie it. Since the road was covered in snow, they tied the giant mutant fish and the smaller mutant fish to the back of the car. When they were done, they drove back to the base.
Two hours later, they reached the Lin’an City Base’s entrance. When the guards saw a large group of mutant fish, they thought that they were under attack. But after he used a pair of binoculars to check the situation, he realized that the fish were tied to a car.
Although the gate was closed, the guard recognized the Cheng brothers. After all, the two of them often spent time helping in the Phantom Team’s store. So, everyone thought that they had a relationship with Jin Xuyan and the other members.

As usual, they underwent inspection first before they were allowed to enter the base. Since it was past dinner time, Shang Yuanling said, "I won’t go with you to the mission hall. Just transfer the points to my card."
Cheng Rui nodded and said, "Okay. Sister, if you have free time, let’s go fishing again. There are still a lot of giant fish in that lake."
"Okay," Shang Yuanling agreed readily.
After they parted ways, she went to the cafeteria to borrow the kitchen and prepared Xun Che’s dinner. When she went to deliver dinner, it was already 9 o’clock in the evening.
After she knocked on the door, she heard Xun Che’s voice. "Come in."
Opening the door, she noticed the heavy tension instantly. She took a peek at the man sitting behind the large desk. Although he looked as calm as usual, she could sense his bad mood. She wondered what had made him angry again.
Just after she placed the lunch boxes on the coffee table, she heard Xun Che’s voice. "You are late today."
Thinking that he was angry because of hunger, she quickly explained, "I’m sorry for being late, Commander. I took a mission and went to hunt mutant fish. I didn’t realize the time. I admit my mistake."
Hearing this, Xun Che finally looked at her. Looking at her tired face, he frowned and asked, "Was the salary given to you not enough?"
Shang Yuanling couldn’t follow the sudden change of topic. It took her a moment to respond. Shaking her head, she said, "No, the salary is higher than others."
"Then why did you still need to go hunt mutant animals?" he asked again.
She hesitated for a moment before she replied, "Well, I want to earn more points so I can buy a villa."
This time, Xun Che was intrigued. "You want a villa?"
This was nothing to be ashamed of, so Shang Yuanling admitted it openly. "I saw a beautiful villa located near the artificial lake. I want to buy that villa."
When he heard this, Xun Che stared at her with a complicated gaze. That villa was his. But because he mostly spent time sleeping in his office’s lounge, people might have thought that the villa was empty.
After a moment, he took out a set of keys from his drawer and walked to the couch. While Shang Yuanling set up the table, he took her hand and placed the keys in her palm.
"These are the keys to that villa. If you want, you can stay there."
Hearing this, Shang Yuanling was taken aback. "Commander, I didn’t think I made a great contribution to be rewarded with that villa."
Xun Che let go of her hand and picked up his bowl and chopsticks. As he ate, he said, "That villa is empty anyway. It doesn’t matter if you stay there. Just remember to clean it regularly."
Shang Yuanling stared at him for a while but didn’t find anything suspicious. Since the Commander allowed her to stay there for free, she wouldn’t refuse his goodwill.
Accepting the keys, she smiled and said, "Thank you, Commander! I will definitely take good care of the villa."
