A Demon Lord’s Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss

Chapter 593.1

Chapter 593.1

Velmore Forest Ruins (1)

A few days later, we were rocked on the airship, while somehow managing to appease Sakuya whenever he had a tantrum.

"Wow.." (Yuki)

We could see its grandeur clearly from the sky.

-A huge ruin, carved out of the deep wilderness, towering over us.

The shape was basically a pyramid.

There were several box-like and other strange structures attached to it, and although all the decorations on the surface had weathered away, it still had an eerie presence.

As the airship got closer, its enormity was more apparent... that's... compared to the size of Tokyo Dome.

It was about twice as big.

Seeing us gnawing at the view from the window, Eldogalia-san said, "Did you see it? That's the ruins who's name we don't even know - tentatively named the Velmore Forest Ruins."

"...I see, so even with how massive this is, all that's been found is a few empty rooms." (Yuna)

According to what Eldogalia-san told me, all that had been found in those ruins so far were a few empty rooms with nothing in them.

And that was just a few rooms from the entrance, and they haven't been able to go any further.

No matter how one looked at it, the results were not matching with the size of the ruins.

"Yeah, that's right. Currently, we don't even know whether this is a tomb or a castle, but with a size like this, it's impossible for it to only have a few rooms inside. And since we have already found some rooms inside, it can't just be a stone-built structure that serves as a symbol." (Eldogalia)

That's true.

It would be like only finding the second floor of a huge skyscraper from its current progress.

The stairs to move to the higher floors were not or could not be found.

However, it seemed that before Eldogalia-san arrived, no one had even found a way to the other rooms, so this showed how difficult these ruins were.

I see, the research team must be grasping at straws right now.

"How is it, Sakuya? Is there anything interesting?" (Yuki)

"Yaah! Uoooh!" (Sakuya)

Sakuya was looking out the window in a good mood, but he wasn't showing any reaction at the moment.

Shii said that he was showing a more obvious reaction with his whole body last time, so it seemed that nothing had caught Sakuya's radar so far.

"Hmm, we're still a long way off. My son, keep that radar going, okay?" (Yuki)

"Auuh!" (Sakuya)

"...Looking at him makes me a little worried if you're really okay." (Eldogalia)

Eldogalia-san said with a wry smile, and continued.

"Well, we'll be arriving at the landing pad soon. You guys, prepare to disembark." (Eldogalia)

"Okay." (Yuki)

A few minutes later, the airship landed.

The first thing we did after arriving was to bring in supplies.

I helped out with it since I had an Item Box. We brought in food that would last a hundred people about half a year, research equipment, and building materials to set up camp in the surrounding area.

As one could see, the camp was well-constructed, and according to Eldogalia-san and Emyuu, magical items for detection, interception, and keeping monsters away were placed at equal intervals, forming a base unlike any other.

Simple yet effective-looking barricades had been placed around the settlement, making for an exciting structure.
