A Demon Lord’s Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss

Chapter 595.2

Chapter 595.2

"Have you seen what's ahead?" (Yuki)

"No, not yet. From what I measured, the increase in magic power was showing abnormal values. There's definitely something going on… but well, it's more like a demon or a snake." (Eldogalia)

"So it's time for me and Enne to take action." (Yuki)

"Ah, please." (Eldogalia)

As for Sakuya… was it too late now to turn back?

Since I'd brought him this far, I should bring him along.

Above all else – Sakuya himself wanted to go further now.

As I heard from Shii, his whole body was trying to go further.

If I didn't take him along, he would most likely cry loudly.

"Okay… let's go. Layla, don't go ahead of me. Master, Emyuu and the others, stay behind me. –Enne" (Yuki)

"…Hm." (Enne)

After making sure Enne had returned to her odachi form, we started moving forward with me at the front.

◇◇◇

This must really be a ruin from the Age of the Gods.

We hadn't reached a room yet. We were just walking through a hallway… but I felt like it was separated from the present when it came to the designs found within the structure.

It was a primitive, yet somewhat SF-like fantasy architecture.

A space that seemed contradictory yet harmonious, where everything seemed to mix.

"Master, look at this. These are hieroglyphics that have been confirmed in other ruins!"

"These were thought to be from a different era, but since they are here, they must have existed in the same era…!" (Researcher 1)

"Ah, the same here. These are from civilizations that should have been from different regions, but they exist here as if they were part of this region. This is probably where the culture first originated. This is a wonderful discovery…!" (Researcher 2)

The other members of the research team who accompanied us began to discuss with great excitement.

Everyone had the same expression on their faces as when Layla's eyes sparkled with curiosity, and it seemed that this was a place where even the usually rational girls could not contain their excitement.

But I understood the feeling.

Unlike the Sheep Horn Clan members, I couldn't understand what these hieroglyphics were.

But I could tell that there was the romance of discovering something from the past.

"…Nn" (Enne)

Enne, who had returned to her odachi form, also silently conveyed her excitement and fascination with her surroundings.

Hmm, she had studied hard at the Sheep Horn Clan's school, so she probably understood this place better than I did.

Enne seemed to really like this kind of thing after all.

"Master, is this… perhaps?" (Yuki)

"That's right. This is most likely [Origin]…'" (Eldogalia)

"Origin…?" (Yuki)

She answered my words.

"That's right. The place where the world began. The place where the [Primitive God] and the [Earth Goddess] resided. This is probably… here." (Eldogalia)

"—!" (Yuki)

The world itself, [Dominus].

And Gaia, who was said to have controlled Dominus.

The place where these two existed.

That was – [Origin].

"Well, I am not sure about that yet. I can't say anything for sure until I investigate more thoroughly. But… I'm sure that these ruins hold an incredible secret. –Okay, let's go on, you guys. I want to see more of this place and record everything from start to finish, but I think there's probably still a lot more that's unknown ahead." (Eldogalia)

After saying that to her village friends, Eldogalia spoke to me.

"Sorry, Demon Lord. Shall we move on?" (Eldogalia)

"Yeah, I understand." (Yuki)

I started walking at the front again.

As we went along, we came across forks in the road, and each time I checked for traps and checked the Sakuya Radar to see which way to go, so our steps were slow, but we were steadily moving forward.
