A Demon Lord’s Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss

Chapter 595.3

Chapter 595.3

Well, it felt as if it was normal to ask Sakuya for directions, but my child really wanted to go down one of the paths when we arrived at a fork in the road.

When I talked to Shii, she said that they ended up in the garden after following Sakuya's instructions, so I think Sakuya really did have some kind of radar-like ability.

–This space was probably another plane after all.

Not another plane, but another dimension…

It was just too vast…

Although the physical ruins were huge, this internal space was clearly even larger than the ruins.

We had walked so far that it would not have been strange to have reached the other side of the ruins physically, but the passages ahead continued on.

It may be because we went underground, but it was still too vast.

This place was probably structured like an extension of the original space, just like our grassland area.

And–it seemed that my prediction was correct.

Eventually, we reached the exit of the passage–

"Wow…"

What spread out before us was an underground world that could be called a paradise.

The first thing that caught my eye was the starry sky…

But it should be daytime now.

There was no doubt that it wasn't an actual starry sky… Looking more closely, I could see what appeared to be the rock surface of the cave, which meant that it wasn't the light of stars, but the glow of minerals.

A world of perpetual night.

However, the area was quite bright, with luminous plants and roadside trees planted neatly and evenly along the cobblestone road, revealing a lot of well-maintained greenery.

All I could see was a huge pond, floating islands, and a large waterfall falling from the starry sky of minerals.

And when talking about this place, the most essential thing to mention was the castle.

It was a castle with a mysterious architectural style that was more similar to a temple, primitive, medieval, and yet futuristic at the same time.

It was huge…maybe even bigger than my Demon Castle, a castle of such unbelievable scale existed in the depths of this ruin. It even had castle walls and what appeared to be a castle town.

An incredibly beautiful and majestic underground world.

The only thing that was missing was… well, there was absolutely no sign of life here.

There might be insects or fish. Those presence I could somewhat sense.

But that was all.

My five senses told me that there were no people or animals here at all.

This was a place that probably had long since been abandoned.

"…I think I could be friends with the guy who built this place." (Yuki)

This place really had the same atmosphere as my grassland area.

The scale was on another level, however, and of course, of a different concept.

But it gave the impression that the surrounding area was arranged around the castle, with trial and error, trying to figure out how to make this place more beautiful.

There's no basis for this, it was just my own intuition, but… this must be a place that was formed using dungeon-like functions.

More than anything, the quality of the magic used to build this place was quite similar to that of a dungeon, although there was a slight difference.

In the past, the being who made this might have thought the same thing as me.

And as could be seen from the fact that this space was still in the best condition like this, even if the people themselves might have been gone, the ruins still lived on.

Alive and operational.

That meant there was some kind of power source still running this place…

"Is this… perhaps the location of a Divine series weapon…?" (Yuki)

At the very least, I had already witnessed an item from Age of the Gods with incredible output that had been able to maintain ruins of this scale that survived until the present day.

Perhaps something on the same level as that lay dormant in this place.
