Chapter 784 - 781: Instinctual Erosion
Chapter 784: Chapter 781: Instinctual Erosion
"Oh? Interesting little fellow!"
Green’s figure flashed and caught the escaping clam back, it was a small creature resembling a slug, with very agile tentacles, crawling quickly.
After turning this small creature into a specimen, Green began eagerly capturing biological specimens on the beach, occasionally exclaiming, seemingly marveling at the different evolutionary paths of crustaceans in this world.
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab was accustomed to this and patiently waited on the side.
Visiting worlds with different rules and collecting local biological specimens to learn about natural laws is every wizard’s instinct. It’s an essential process for wizards to gather superficial information to explore the truth.
A few hourglasses later.
From afar, Green suddenly shouted with excitement: "Thousand-Eyed Crab, come and look!"
The patiently waiting Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab snapped out of its deep thoughts, quickly flying to Green’s side, with hundreds of its eyes falling on the miniature Thousand-Eyed Crab in Green’s hands, which had opened over ten eyes and was the size of a fist.
The huge contrast between a large and a small Thousand-Eyed Crab!
One was already over thirty meters large, covered with red hair, its body marked with scars from battles in different worlds, and an inadvertent release of breath from its hundreds of eyes caused the primitive small creatures to tremble, lacking even the courage to turn and escape, terrifying and hideous.
The Thousand-Eyed Crab in Green’s hand was merely the size of a fist, not even having grown hair yet, seemingly scared stiff by the aura emanating from the terrifying counterpart in its view.
For this little fellow, the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab was perhaps a legendary prehistoric terror creature descended upon the world, representing completely different levels of life.
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab shook its head in disappointment and said: "It’s already passed out."
Having said that, the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab paid no more attention, clearly not considering this little fellow as of its kind, as it was too weak, with no possibility of any interaction between them.
This situation is so similar to the fragile humans and the official wizards in the Wizard World.
Green chuckled, gently tossing the little creature from his hand into the sea waves, leaping onto the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab’s back.
"We are too close to the Space Fortress here, yet there isn’t even a trace of a First-Level Creature, not even possible to establish a soul connection. Let’s continue flying forward."
In Green’s hand, an arthropod crustacean resembling a centipede crawled nimbly, but couldn’t escape the space cage that Green created, making a hissing and fearful noise.
"Understood, Lord Green."
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab rose, carrying Green to continue flying into the distance.
...
Seven days later.
The Shoal Tide was affected by the three crescent moons’ rules in the sky, causing chaos in the tide patterns within the world, often forming a ’Crossfield Convergence’ natural phenomenon when the trimonthly tides reached a balance point.
The so-called Crossfield Convergence refers to large waves from vast areas crashing into each other, gathering small and weak creatures uncontrollably within a small marine area.
The aggregation of these small crustaceans often attracts a considerable number of powerful creatures unaffected by the tides to come feast and enjoy the banquet.
Above the clouds, Green stood on the back of the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, his eagle eyes behind the Face of Truth observed the aggregation of thousands of First-Level Creature groups within the Crossfield Convergence, devouring the swarm of tiny crustaceans washed in by the tide, his eyes lit up.
"Not bad, such rules indeed facilitate more potential creatures to evolve quickly. It seems that the Stigma Sorcerer in control of the Shoal Tide World has seemingly turned this place into a farm, utilizing the rules of the Wizard World to artificially evolve this Crossfield Convergence’s natural rules, cultivating a large number of slave resources."
Crash!
Suddenly, the numerous First-Level Creatures that were dining joyously descended into chaos.
Out of the mud and sand emerged a green giant turtle, draped in sand and algae, its toothed maw lunging forward, swallowing a multitude of tiny crustaceans and a few First-Level Creatures whole.
This giant turtle had reached the level of a Second-Level Creature, its body over ten meters large, invincible, the overlord of this sea region, having long settled in the mud and sand of this area.
"Oh? Is it that one?"
Said Green, guiding the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab from above the clouds, descending from above. The vast, ominous shadow cast by the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab silenced the once-chaotic Crossfield Convergence gathering in an eerie manner, leaving only the numerous uncontrollably struggling small crustaceans in the tide-accumulated waters.
Terror-stricken, the giant turtle, previously feasting in abandon, retracted its head and dove back into the seawater.
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab’s terror as a Third-Level Creature was something this giant turtle could not contend with!
"Roar!"
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab also dived into the seawater. The Shoal Tide World had no deep-sea areas, and moments later, with the mud and sand billowing over with a "boom," the heavily scarred giant turtle was hurled out of the sea.
Amidst the roaring surf, many First-Level Creatures fled in terror.
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, carrying Green, floated gently back to the sea surface. With a light leap, Green landed atop the giant turtle over ten meters in size.
"Do you know where there are stronger creatures?"
Feeling the terrifying aura that fell upon it like a mountain, the giant turtle could not breathe, its limbs trembling, with no doubt in its mind that this terrifying beast might open its fanged maw and swallow it at any moment. This was a higher-level lifeform, far more formidable and terrifying than any sea king it had ever encountered.
"P-please don’t eat me!"
The giant turtle cried out in panic, having not developed a high level of intelligence, this was merely a primitive creature; even Green’s soul communication only received chaotic responses.
The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab showed a look of disappointment, Green standing on the giant turtle shook his head, about to leave, when suddenly his body shuddered, seemingly stimulated by something, his eyes gradually showing lines of blood, turning savage and cold like a barbarian.
"Hungry... so hungry..."
In his hand, the extreme abyss magic staff suddenly fell, hitting the center of the turtle shell with a "boom," forming cracks, and an iceberg emerged on the sea surface.
Subjected to extreme cold, gravitational field relics, and Green’s own incredible strength, with just one strike, the giant turtle was left critically injured, spewing out chunks of viscera.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, Green’s body muscles swelled up dramatically.
First Layer of Wild Instinct with scales returning to ancestry, Second Layer of Wild Instinct with ivory armament, Third Layer of Wild Instinct with barbarian giant, Fourth Layer of Wild Instinct with barbarian giant sun chaser!
With a massive body over fifty meters in size, covered in bone spikes, the giant ripped open the shattered shell of the giant turtle, tore with its hands, stuffing the chunks of the giant turtle flesh and blood into its mouth, chewing rabidly, horrifically terrifying as it continuously chewed, and moments later, after swallowing the entire over ten-meter giant turtle, the barbarian giant cupped its hands, with gulps, the seawater along with the numerous crustacean creatures in its hands poured down.
...
"What happened..."
As consciousness returned, Green shook his head as if waking from a drunken stupor, striving to recall all that transpired.
"A Second-Level Wizard choosing to jointly cultivate body refinement and cellular evolution as an Elemental Wizard, aside from reducing the magic power source of the Sorcerer’s Tower by a tenth, one’s absolute rational spirit and will are gradually being eroded by the primitive instincts of cellular killing evolution?"
