Chapter 928: A Power Never Meant To Be
Chapter 928: A Power Never Meant To Be
The gigantic ball shattered into ice crystals, but that was just the first.
"I understand now,"
Ryuk mused, and in the next moment, his hands reached out, frost conjuring until they formed a 5-meter-long sycthe.
Raising his head, two rays of freezing white light illuminated the skies, and in the next moment.
KAAABOOOM!
The ground where Ryuk stood on sifted into golden ashes as he soared forward towards the approaching balls.

A total of seven slashes rang out through the domain, and when next he appeared, he was 3,000 meters in the air.
Behind him, the various balls of energy travelled for about 500 meters, suddenly divided into two smooth halves, followed by an explosion of energy as they burst into snowflakes that rained upon the ground.
Hovering in the air, he stared at Aizelren, and now he understood it all.
Initially, he had been confused by many things.
Why had those strange symbols only appeared after they were frozen?
Why had Isha unleashed the tempest and tried to destroy all the skyscrapers in the domain?
The answer lay in the domain itself.
The base dreamscape was a domain of its own, and in it, reality became mixed with dreams:
Aizelren’s own dreams.
There were shards all over the entire domain, and even the skyscrapers themselves were shards of dreams.
Aizelren’s current power was a manifestation of his own dream of power, and even his previous six-armed body was only a dream brought to reality.
When Ryuk had stepped through the domain, he couldn’t see the dream runes, and they had taken effect on him, essentially drawing him into the dream and having him fight against a figure who wasn’t even real.
He had been too engrossed in the battle to notice the abnormalities, but Isha, observing from the stands, discerned everything in an instant.
The second she stepped out, the dreamrunes twisted around her to try to place her under their influence.
But in response, she had frozen and shattered them apart, keeping her full reality.
Without being affected by Aizelren’s dream, anything from the dream had no power over her, and that was why she had easily crushed Aizelren, freezing him to death and shattering him apart just like the dream runes.
Only after did Aizelren’s true body show up. A body that has been fully integrated into the dream scape.
The battle he had been fighting wasn’t a battle of fists.
It was a battle of Runic comprehension, the only thing Ryuk sucked at.
The last time he comprehended elemental runes was back on Endearth when he had learned the First Law of Primordial Frost, but ever since then, he had never focused on runes anymore and had grown his physical brute force instead.
But Isha was different.
With her evolution into an Ice Dragon, the time she spent in slumber was mostly unlocking the comprehension of the Frost Laws.
Right now, compared to Ryuk, she had already fully comprehended up to the 7th Fundamental Law of Frost, and now that he had fused with her as one.
He now also shared that same understanding.
"Seems like you have finally awoken,"
Aizelren’s words echoed throughout the domain.
But all he got as a reply was Frost and Nano-particles rapidly coalescing together from Ryuk’s shoulder, and quickly, a total of six more arms appeared, bringing the total arms to a complete eight.
Frost and Nano-particles also conjured in the palms of each hand, and in the next moment, all eight each held seven-meter-long scythes.
"I thought I was fighting a powerful being, yet all I was doing was getting played around in an empty dream," Ryuk whispered silently to himself, and in the next moment, he raised his gaze.
Aizelren immediately noticed.
The dead look in his opponent’s eyes as all reason and emotion left him.
There was no seriousness, no anger, no focus.
Just nothing.
One of his arms raised the sycthe, pointing it at Aizelren.
"I Will End You With The Next Strike."
"Tch, End Me!?"
Aixelren said with a scoff of mockery.
"The dreams were nothing! It’s just a little power to get rid of annoying weaklings."
"Witness the true power of Aizelren!"
He roared out, and in the next moment, the golden rune drawn over Aizelren’s face opened up, resulting in the descent of a gigantic runic prism that stretched for over 30 kilometers in radius.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The air around Ryuk froze, only to shatter apart as he burst forth, frost trailing behind.
"Lightning Dreamfall: Absolute Divine Erasure!"
CRAAAACKLE!
KAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOM!
The sound of destructive crackling lightning resounded as the surface of the golden prism rippled with insane Abyssal Energy power before pillars of golden-dark energy burst out from each of them, instantly slamming down.
So huge they were, that Ryuk looked like an ant flashing forward towards a heavenly lightning pillar.
But was he really just an ant?
In response to the attack, Ryuk’s eight arms jerked back.
Four of his arms on the right became covered in a gem-dark, ending in horrifying-looking pitch-black Knullic claws, while the other four on the left were covered in scales of jade blue.
Six shards instantly slipped out of the Void, surrounding his forehead like a crown as an explosive aura burst out of every fiber of his being.
His aura multiplied insanely, each of the scythes he held, lighting up so bright it was like 8 new suns had descended upon the world, and in the next moment
All scythes were cleaved forward all at once, sending eight scythe Arcs through the sky:
One pitch-black arc rippling with Abyssal Energy.
One blue arc rippling with Aetheris Energy.
Another pitch-black arc, but with dots of purple rippling with Nihil Energy.
A void-black arc rippling with Void Energy.
A silvery-white arc rippling with terrifying Frost Energy.
A flaming white arc rippling with White Flame Sigil Energy.
An invariable changing-colored arc rippling with Everchange Sigil Energy.
An orange-colored arc rippling with Undoing Sigil Energy.
Eight scythe attacks, eight different energies, and all of them merged in perfect synergy, forming one final unknown energy.
Hecouldn’t understand it.
How could so much energy lie in one cleave, and how could such destructive energy combine into one?
How could such power even be allowed to exist?"
"This...this was never meant to be."
Though overwhelmed, Aizelren’s golden runes on his face lit up brilliantly as he forced out every last energy within him, conjuring shield prisms that rapidly bloomed and surrounded him within the span of a millisecond.
When the scythe arc landed upon the shield
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!
The entire sky was divided into two, along with Aizelren’s own massive face.
The arc continued, far, far into the distant void before an explosion occurred.
One so bright it was like a supernova bursting through the void!
When everything quelled, only a single figure remained hovering in the sky.
Eight arms, holding eight scythes, each holding eight different energies.
"It’s over."
