Chapter 1867: I’ve Never Seen You In My Life

A few thousand kilometers away from the Moonlight Faction.

Klaus appeared in a forest, furrowing his brows as he studied the scene before him. In front of him was a large clearing, and he could see traces of attacks, it was evident that it was caused by a powerful figure. Upon further inspection, Klaus realized that this was a settlement area, most likely belonging to a Tribe that has been staying in this forest for years. This place wasn’t too far from the place where the Gnomes were reported to be camping, so its destruction was most likely their handiwork.

Rearranging his thoughts, he looked in a certain direction before taking off. His destination was the place where the Gnomes were camped.

It took about ten more minutes of flying before he left the forest area, catching sight of a Town in front of him. Parts of the Town walls and buildings were frozen, a result of the Moonlight Faction’s Elders’ attacks.

Klaus did not try to hide his aura, since leaving the Crescent Moon Faction a month ago, he had heard of all the killings done by the Gnomes while he was away. When he came out, he was already a Seventh stage Sovereign, and although he expected the Gnomes to have already started their attacks, he also hoped it did not happen. No one wanted war, especially one like this where their homes are what is being used as the battlefield. No matter how this turns out, they will face serious losses which they did not really want.

This is the first time he was going face to face with Gnomes since they invaded. With both his hands behind his back, he walked straight to the Town gate with no intention to hide his presence, he could sense the auras of multiple living beings in the Town. It was unknown if all the Townspeople had been killed or were sent to the Gnome World. As someone who has been to the Gnome World, Klaus was well aware of how the Gnomes needed humans to work for them. So if an opportunity presents itself for them to capture some humans back to their world, they would not miss out on the opportunity.

Inside the Town.

Just like Klaus, the Gnomes inside the Town had sensed his approaching aura. In one of the only complete looking buildings in the Town, a group could be seen discussing.

“Someone is approaching.” One of the seated figures said with a sinister look in his eyes.

“It’s just a Seventh stage Sovereign.” Another of the seated figures said.

“We should welcome whoever is coming, no need to be a bad host.” Another figure laughed playfully.

All three figures stood up, and they were barely a meter tall, all three walking out of the building, heading straight to the Town gates.

Seeing the trio come out, a few more Gnomes walked out from buildings by the side, all walking behind them.

At the Town Gate.

Klaus stopped walking when he saw the Gnomes walking in his direction. He did not show any signs of fear or panic, only looking at them with a cold expression.

Just when the Gnomes came close, a surprised look appeared on Klaus’ face. Klaus was not the only one whose facial expression changed as they met, two from the three leading Gnomes had confused expressions on their faces as they looked at Klaus’ face.

“You… where have I seen you before?” One of the Gnomes among the trio pointed at Klaus with a confused expression. He had been in the Human World for some time, but he had never seen Klaus since he came here, so he could not understand why he recognized the face the moment he saw it.

Unlike the Gnomes who wore confused expressions, Klaus, on the other hand, was not confused, but genuinely surprised to see Gnomes he was familiar with. The only place he could know these Gnomes is naturally the Gnome World. During his stay there, he met a lot of Gnomes, especially during the period the two Princes’ Kingdoms were at war and both he and Reynolds were basically in charge of the war. He had some clashes with the duo because they too were working for the Prince he was helping. They were both Third stage Sovereigns, so being placed under a First or Second stage Sovereign at the time felt like an insult to them. This is also the reason the duo did not immediately recognize Klaus.

“We’ve never seen each other.” Klaus replied with a straight face.

“I’ve also seen you before. Human boy, have you been to our World?” The other Gnome stepped forward and asked. He found Klaus’ face inconsiderably intolerable, and there was only one face that gave him this feeling, hence the reason he asked if Klaus has ever been to the Gnome World. But recalling the cultivation stage of that Human brat and this one, he did not believe they were the same person. It was impossible for anyone to advance with such speed.

“I said I’ve never seen you before.” Klaus snorted coldly before looking at the Gnomes present, looking around, his heart fell when he noticed he could not sense the aura of anyone else. This meant every living thing was right in front of him. Rage flashing through his eyes he asked, “Where are the Townspeople?”

“What do you think?” The Gnome at the center of the trio asked with a smirk. He was the one who was a Fifth stage Sovereign among them.

“It will be best if you answer me, I don’t have the time to chat with you.” Klaus said calmly, he needed to know if the people were being transported back to the Gnome World. If that was the case, then he might have a chance to save them.

The Gnomes laughed when they heard his words, looking at him like he was a fool. They could not believe he was threatening them, alone.
