Chapter 1919: Chaotic Battlefield III

Grey could not let go of such an opportunity, as soon as he realized the Gnome was momentarily stunned, a lightning blade slashed at the body of the Gnome. The Gnome was frozen only for a quarter of a second, enough time for Grey’s attack to hit.

The Gnome was about to be struck by the lightning blade when his Puppet reappeared. The Puppet was partially damaged after he sacrificed it the first time when Grey was about to strike, now that he was once again in such a position, he took the same action, bringing out the Puppet at the last moment to help deal with this fatal crisis.

Boom!

The Gnome was sent flying by the impact of the attack hitting his Puppet. He might have managed to escape the crisis with his life, but not without injuries. Being too close to the Puppet meant that he was still hit by what was left of the attack, which sent him flying.

Crashing to the ground, he coughed up a mouthful of blood as he looked at Grey with dread in his eyes. When he first found out Grey’s identity, all he saw when looking at him was the reward he was about to gain. Now though, all he could see as he looked at Grey was death. He had escaped from death’s clutches twice within a minute, and all of this came from trying to kill Grey. If he had not rushed here and focused on fighting the other Elementalists, he was certain that not only would his Puppet still be perfectly fine, he too would not have suffered any injuries.

The Puppet could not take the lightning blade and was slashed in two, it had already taken significant damage from the first time the Gnome brought it out to save his life, so it did not have the strength to block this attack, especially given how Grey used most of his strength when creating this lightning blade.

Grey did not want to miss out on this opportunity, so he rushed after the Gnome when he saw that the Gnome was able to survive the attack.

On the way, he sensed the Puppet of the other Gnome coming his way, raising his head, he saw his Teacher coming his way. He quickly transmitted his voice to his Teacher and acted as if he did not see Puppet that was about to strike him, putting all his focus on the other Gnome that was on trying to escape while still coughing up mouthfuls of blood. The impact from the strike did more damage than expected, and the Gnome found it hard to move at his usual pace.

The Puppet was about to strike Grey when a strange aura radiated from his body, enveloping the Puppet.

The Gnome controlling the Puppet realized something was wrong and hastily tried to sever his link with the Puppet before Grey did, only to realize he was too late.

At the moment of his realization, a figure covered in golden light appeared in front of him, cleaving the sword made from golden light in the direction of the Gnome. The Gnome wanted to move, an act he cruelly found out he was incapable of as he watched the golden sword swing past without facing any resistance. It was not that he did not want to resist, he could not resist.

On Grey’s end, the Gnome was already hurt from Grey’s last attack, his speed had dropped, so his outcome was as expected. Before he could move even five meters from his initial position, Grey was already before him, attacking with unbridled killing intent.

The Gnome did not even have the chance to block as he was turned to a mist of blood with just one punch. Grey’s fist was covered in multicolored glow, a sign that he enforced his blow with his elements. His physical body’s strength is not something to joke with, boosting it with his strength meant that it was impossible for the Gnome to take the blow. If the Gnome had been in full strength, he might have been able to survive this blow, unfortunately for him, he had been hurt by the previous attack, and Grey did not attack with the aim of allowing his opponent survive.

Chris looked in Grey’s direction, nodding his head at Grey’s ruthlessness. He did not think Grey would become this ruthless, seeing him in action made him relieved he would not have to worry about his safety later on.

He moved to Grey’s side, seeing him panting for air he asked worriedly, “Will you be able to carry on?”

Grey did not respond, charging at the Gnome closest to them and attacking.

Chris chuckled when he saw this, he knew this was Grey’s way of replying him. Feeling his own fighting spirit boil, he rushed into the chaotic battlefield. The duo were like the messengers of death, reaping the lives of any Gnome they came close to. At first, the Gnomes did not take note of them, only after they killed six Gnomes within the next two minutes did they start to draw the attention of all Gnomes present, including the Half God Plane Gnomes fighting in the sky.

When the Old man made a move, the Half God Plane Gnomes did not want anything to happen to this portal, so they took the fight away from this place, leaving the Sovereigns to deal with the other intruders. From their view, even though the humans had more Peak Sovereigns, the overwhelming number of Ninth stage Sovereigns as well as the Puppets would change the course of the battle. It was indeed going in this direction, until Grey and Chris fred themselves from the group they were fighting. The duo had already killed more than ten Ninth stage Sovereigns together, reducing the numbers of the Gnomes by a large margin. Not just that, but the other Gnomes became scared at the sight of Grey approaching. The once chaotic battlefield soon welcomed a strange sight of Gnomes evading two figures like they were plagues.
