Chapter 1970 Return To The Gnome World II
Chapter 1970 Return To The Gnome World II
Chris was flabbergasted by what he just found out, and even with his age, he found it hard to compose himself. This was shocking news to anyone who would hear it. If not that he knew Grey would not lie to him, especially in regards to something this important, he would have never believed it. Looking at Grey's appearance, he frowned. He could tell Grey was not at his peak.
"How do you plan to fit into the Gnome World?" He asked curiously.
"Teacher, you might not know, but we've actually sneaked into the Gnome World before." Grey replied while scratching the back of his head, adding, "During the time the God's Tomb opened."
Chris was once again speechless by what he was hearing. He was still thinking up ways to convince Grey from going to the Gnome World, only to hear that he had gone before, and not just him, but all four youngsters standing before him. There was only one word he could use to describe the four; bold.
Only someone who was bold could fearlessly sneak into the World of their greatest enemies. Out of curiosity, he asked about their stay in the Gnome World and found out at the time the Seventh Prince was already under Grey's control. Taking advantage of that, they pretended to be Necromancers who were recruited by the Seventh Prince, causing mayhem in the Gnome World and Grey even went as far as killing the First and Second Princes using underhanded means.
Chris was silent for a good three minutes as he tried to process the information he just received. After calming his raging heart, he looked at Grey, "At that time, their top experts were mostly sent to the God's Tomb. Now, they are all gathered in the Royal Capital according to you. It's too dangerous."
From Grey's words, he was able to infer there were no top experts at the time they snuck in, so it was easier for them to hide. Now the case was different. The Gnomes were gathering in preparation for their attack on the Human World. With the breaking of this seal, it was only a matter of time before an all-out war would begin. Unlike the previous skirmishes that have been taking place over the past year or two.
"There's no other choice. We can't leave the Principal there. Besides, I have no plans to strut around there." Grey said reassuringly. He understood his Teacher's worry, and if not for how important the Principal was, he would have not had this idea. Sadly, the Principal was taken, and they had no idea how he was faring. At least in the case of Brown, he had taken her to a relatively safe place.
"It's still too dangerous. Oliver is also very important to me, but sneaking into the Gnome World at a time like this is suicide. You're not allowed to attempt this." Chris was not convinced Grey would be able to keep himself safe. Even a Half God Plane expert would not be able to assure their safety in the Gnome World, much less Grey who was only an Eighth stage Sovereign.
Grey was about to continue arguing when Klaus spoke up, "Uncle Chris is right, doing this is too dangerous. We've already lost Father, losing you would be disastrous."
Grey looked at Klaus wide-eyed, not expecting him to be the one to speak against this. Klaus was the reason he was doing everything he could to locate the Principal in the Gnome World. He could not blame Klaus, indeed, going into the Gnome World was very dangerous.
Alice and Reynolds exchanged glances before sighing. They all knew how difficult it was for Klaus to say something like this. This was basically him giving up on his Father.
Shaking his head, Grey walked back into his room. There was no way he could convince them otherwise. He knew their fears, and to be honest, he too was afraid. He was wanted by the Gnome Race, and if he were to be discovered, he would be killed without a shadow of a doubt. This he is all too aware of, however, the Principal was still there, Brown was still there. If he did not try to save them, he had this feeling he would regret it for the rest of his life.
He sat down cross-legged and tried to recover his used up Mental Energy.
The next day.
Reynolds, Alice, and Klaus were ready to head back to Red City. They came here to offer assistance, and since the battle had concluded some days back, it was time to return. The Peak Sovereigns that came with them were waiting outside.
"Grey, it's time to head back." Reynolds called out.
They waited for movements from the room, but got none. Walking over, Reynolds knocked on the door calling out to Grey's name again. He was met with dead silence from the room.
"What's the hold up?" Chris's voice could be heard from outside the building. He was waiting for the group before leading them outside.
Not getting a reply, he walked into the building. Upon seeing only the trio, he had a bad premonition and asked, "Where's Grey?"
The trio looked at him and shook their heads.
"That stupid brat! Do you have a way to track him?" He asked hurriedly.
The second he did not find Grey, he already knew the latter had snuck out and was probably on his way to the Gnome World. He could not believe even after his insistent warning, Grey went out without his knowledge.
Klaus and the others shook their heads. Grey was the only one who could track them with their communication devices.
"Damn it! No one else should know about this until we find him." Chris warned, blaring with fury. How is he going to explain to Grey's father that Grey snuck to the Gnome World under his watch?
He even made sure to keep his eyes on this place for fear of this overnight and did not see Grey leaving. Cursing at Grey's stupidity, he walked out with the trio.
