Chapter 2079: One Attack To Decide

Natt and the other Gnomes were shocked out of their lost state by the sudden rise of the frightening auras of both Grey and the emissary’s planned deciding attack. The attacks kicked up the wind as they gathered all the essence in the area.

“Looks like it’s the final stand.” Natt commented, but his voice sounded soulless. He truly felt like a person without a soul since he lost his cultivation.

The other two Gnomes nodded absentmindedly to this. They knew that no matter who the winner of this battle turned out to be, their fates were already sealed. A useless Gnome was as good as dead, because if they returned to their world, the chances of being killed by some people they had butted heads with previously was quite high. And what was worse, no one with the exception of their families would want to stand up for them, and that was still under probability since no one would want to start a war for someone who had no use.

The emissary’s spark had grown over the size of his head, and the power it contained made the space around it start to tear.

Just like the emissary, Grey’s five colored fusion orb also had the same effect of tearing the surrounding space, however, it was way smaller in comparison to the lightning spark. The five colored fusion orb could perfectly fit into a person’s palm.

The emissary sensed the energy the five colored fusion orb contained and could not help but suck in a deep breath. His eyes danced between his lightning spark and the fusion orb and realized the duo were not so different in terms of power.

‘How can a kid produce such an attack? Hasn’t he been fighting since? Is his essence reserves unlimited?’ He thought to himself.

He knew Grey had fought a long battle when he first arrived. Yes, Grey somehow managed to wipe out the entire army, but it was not without any essence. So how was he still able to fight with such intensity?

The questions in the emissary’s head came one after the other as he could not understand the logic behind Grey’s unexplainable strength. Tossing the thoughts to the back of his head, he threw his lightning spark Grey’s way as he retreated.

Grey’s fusion orb was also ready, he allowed it gently float out of his palm like a flower. He too did not dare to stay any further as he retreated as well.

Before either side could get too far, both attacks collided. And for the first instant, the lights from both attacks looked as if they were sucked into each other. What followed right after was an earth-shattering explosion that spread out, quickly enveloping both the retreating Grey and emissary.

Void and the bunny leader both flashed a few times before appearing almost a kilometer away from where they previously stood. They did not even care about the treasure in the cave nor the survival of Natt and his companions.

As they looked at the impact of the explosion getting wider and wider, the cave was soon covered by light, along with Natt and the other Gnomes.

A few minutes went by before the dust from the explosion slowly started to recede. Even at that, it was difficult to see more than a hundred meters.

The bunny leader flew to the top of the place where the explosion occurred, sucked in a deep breath and his small body inflated. When he grew to almost three times his size, he blew out.

As soon as the bunny leader blew out, it was as if a tornado came and cleared out an almost two kilometers radius of the dust to show what was hiding beneath the dust cloud.

When the sight of the destruction from the attack came to view, Void and the bunny leader sucked in a deep breath. A nine hundred meters wide crevice appeared on the ground, with large cracks running for hundreds of meters outside it. The crevice looked to be at least four hundred meters deep, and water could even be seen gushing out from one spot. There were no sights of Grey nor the emissary.

As the bunny leader was about to ask, Void pointed in a particular direction in the crevice where Grey’s figure could be seen crawling out of debris.

Grey looked haggard, his clothes were almost fully torn apart, most of his scales had fallen off and his entire body was soaked in blood. Barely standing, he looked up to the sight of Void and the bunny leader. He struggled to fly into the sky.

“Where’s… he?” He asked between long breaths.

Void and the bunny leader shook their heads. They did not know where the emissary landed or if he was even still alive.

Grey was certain since he survived, the emissary would also be alive.

He was not wrong as the sound of rocks being destroyed drew their attention. When they looked in the direction, the emissary appeared.

He was no different from Grey, covered in blood from head to toe, with his clothes barely covering his nether region.

His body oozed with killing intent as he locked gazes with Grey, “You filthy human! You dare put me in such a state?! I’ll kill you!”

Heading the emissary’s roar, Grey prepared to fight. Only to be left speechless as the emissary brought out a token and instantly crushed it. Space elemental essence gushed out of the token and covered the emissary.

“Fuck! Stop him!” Grey knew what the emissary was about to do and although he tried to move, his body arched all over which slowed him down.

Void and the bunny leader reacted quickly, but they were a little too late.

“He escaped.” The bunny leader said in annoyance.

Grey got to the place where the emissary used the teleportation token and tried to see if he could use the space particles left from the teleportation to track him.

As he attempted this, he almost fell from the sky as he felt lightheaded.

“Try to rest, I’ll search for him.” The bunny leader being the best Space Elementalist among them decided to take on the task.
