Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1220: Transformation Arts Lessons

Chapter 1220: Transformation Arts Lessons

The three disciples of Sreas stood calmly at the far end of the arena.

At first glance, they looked like ordinary youths, no older than twenty. Their robes were simple, their expressions were composed, and their presence unassuming. Yet every student felt the weight of their aura…

They were definitely dangerous Arcanists just hidden beneath a tranquil surface.

Everyone knew their true power lay in the Asura Form… It was the dreaded transformation that granted a third eye and two extra arms, a state said to rival the might of ancient beasts. But today, they would not use such overwhelming strength.

Instead, they would fight as beasts.

Professor Paterson's voice rang out.

"We have three stages here… Each disciple will face five of you. Just transform, fight, and learn."

The first disciple stepped forward. His name was Glen, a lean figure with sharp eyes and a calm smile. He bowed slightly to the students before him.

"Five of you. Come."

Five students moved to the front, two beast-blooded prodigies and three ordinary Transformation Arts practitioners. Their faces were tense, but determination burned in their eyes.

The other two disciples also called for another five so they could start in their own stage.

For now, Amaya, Vin, and Brannic decided to watch and see what kind of skills they have.

As a matter of fact, it wasn't just them… At this time, several Professors, students of another Arcane Path, and even Denise had come here to watch their battle!

After all, Asuras were simply too rare and anything they could learn about them would be helpful.

Soon, Glen raised his hand. His asura energy flared, and the Transformation Arts surged.

His body rippled, bones shifting, muscles twisting.

In seconds, his form elongated, his skin darkened, and his body grew slimmer…

Still, his arms became clawed, his legs bent into different angles, and his face stretched into a wolf…

Glen had transformed into a Dire Wolf Form from the Beast Realm… It was known in the Beast Arts as a beast of speed and ferocity, while the Transformation Arts were known for their aggressiveness that causes a slight degradation of intelligence.

However, it seemed that this wouldn't be a problem for Asuras like Glen and the others.

The five students followed suit.

One shifted into a Scaled Serpent Form with his body covered in glistening scales.

Another grew wings in a Falcon Form, feathers sprouting as his arms stretched wide.

The third became a Stonehide Boar with his body becoming thick and armored.

The fourth assumed a Dark Lynx Form, with its agile build or physique, while the last transformed into a Demonic Bear Cub Form, smaller than Brannic's bloodline but still radiating raw strength.

"Those guys aren't bad…" Amaya muttered as she saw the transformation.

"Yes… I'm sure they're aiming to join the Gentle Shifters." Vin said.

"What? Why would they join the Order? Aren't they declining now?" Brannic asked in confusion.

The Order of the Gentle Shifters was the Secret Order of the Transformation Arts Faction. They barely had any influence because, aside from three Unique Transformations that could only be found in their Order, they do not really have anything to offer.

They were quite poor and would normally rely on the Rune Arts Faction's provided Artifacts and the Alchemist Arts Faction's supplies to operate.

"That must be the reason why they wanted to join… They're quite heroic, huh." Amaya muttered.

Brannic was stunned after hearing this. "Really? Then I must respect these guys."

"No, don't… They just probably think that it's easier to be the head of a snake than the tail of a dragon." Vin said. After all, he also considered joining the Order and leading it, but changed his mind.

Brannic could only dryly laugh after hearing this.

In the meantime, the arena trembled as their transformations completed.

Glen crouched low, his wolf form radiating aura that made the five students wary…

Then he spoke, his voice carrying across the arena.

"Remember… transformation is not about brute force. It is about control. Show me your instincts."

Just like that, the battle began.

The Falcon dove first…

Its wings sliced through the air. Glen just sidestepped, and his claws flashed upward.

"Too direct," he said calmly, slashing across the wing. "Speed means nothing without angles."

The Serpent attacked with its fangs bared. Glen, however, just caught serpent's neck with his claws. He slammed the student into the ground, pinning him. "Your scales are strong, but your center is weak. Protect it."

The Boar charged and thought that it was about to smash Glen while he was busy with the snake and the falcon… However, it was as if Glen had eyes at the back of his head as he leapt aside…

Then, landed on the Boar's back, claws digging into the armor. "Defense without mobility is a cage. You must learn to move even when armored."

The Lynx also arrived at the same time… Her claws aimed at Glen's throat. He grinned, catching her wrist mid‑strike. "Good. You use speed and stealth. But your timing is too eager. Wait for the opening."

Finally, the Bear Cub roared, swinging heavy claws. Glen met this strike head‑on, his wolf claws clashing against the bear's strength.

Bam! The impact shook the stage…

"Power is useful, but wasted without rhythm. Match your strikes to the heartbeat of battle."

The five students staggered back, panting. Their forms weren't injured, but they were now aware that they needed to coordinate properly if they wanted to have a chance of winning!

Thankfully, Glen did not press the attack. Instead, he raised his claws and spoke again…

He actually continued giving a message.

"Transformation is not just flesh. It is instinct. You must learn to blend your beast's nature with your own mind. Do not fight like animals. Fight like warriors who wear the beast as armor."

The students exchanged glances…

Even those who weren't in the stage were already learning from the disciple's words… Now, they all couldn't wait for their turn!

In the meantime, as Denise was watching all of this, she couldn't help but think of her Automatons... Perhaps, Vale wouldn't mind if she sends her Automatons here to train the students of the Combat Arts or Knight Arts as well.
