Chapter 1253: The Queen
Chapter 1253: The Queen
The city was in turmoil.
The Red Snake rampaged through the streets with its massive body coiling around towers and crushing stone walls as if they were made of clay!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Civilians fled in panic as the third-rate Arcanists around failed to stop the creature!
Furthermore, several more evil entities would appear, making it difficult for the Arcanists to concentrate their firepower...
Soon, their screams were drowned out by the serpent’s roar.
The intensity of the summoned creatures increased!
More smaller Evil Entities appeared and shrieked, tearing through alleys and attacking the Arcanists and civilians they saw!
Vale, on the other hand, observed it all from afar. His gaze pierced through the layers of the city, watching the destruction unfold.
He could have acted... His power was more than enough to erase the serpent and its kin, but he did not.
As an Immortal, he could no longer act freely in such mortal affairs. Every direct intervention would accumulate karma, and too much of it would force him to leave this realm.
He may be able to inform his people or guide his students and disciples on what they should do, but directly moving to save them was different.
Unless it was dangerous, he’d rather not test the power of the Will of the Realm.
For now, he had already walked this path long enough to know the consequences.
With that in mind, he sent a telepathic message to Professor Zeno, the one overseeing Marshall Academy’s students.
"Stay hidden. Protect the students if needed. Do not let them wander."
Zeno received the message clearly. He nodded to himself, already keeping the students secured.
Meanwhile, the academies or the organizations within the city reacted swiftly.
The chaos was too great to ignore. Even the Secret Orders had already mobilized!
From the Order of the Evanescent Vessels, the Dark Arts faction, cloaked figures emerged...
Unlike the Rogue Dark Arcanists who had started this, their philosophy was different... they believed in controlling darkness, not letting it run wild like this!
Since they were experts in this matter, they moved quickly into the streets, attempting to seal the smaller creatures before they spread further.
From the Order of the Untainted Sentinels, the Holy Arts faction, some holy knights, and exorcists made their move.
They gathered their spells and soon, they released a sanctified light to repel the corruption.
"Save the civilians! Kill the Evil entities!"
They formed protective barriers around civilians, guiding survivors to safety while striking down the winged creatures that swooped from above.
Then, from the Order of the Lore Hunters, the Elemental Arts faction, battlemages arrived, wielding fire, ice, and storm.
Just like what Vale had expected from before, everything was under control...
"These Entities... They’re just distractions, aren’t they?" Vale muttered to himself as he continued observing the situation.
As more and more summoned Evil Entities arrived, even the academies themselves began to move.
From the northern quarter, the students and professors of Rakmiths Academy of Elemental Arts surged forward...
Their vice headmaster was even leading them in coordinated arrays.
Togetherm firestorms erupted across the streets, walls of ice rose to block the serpent’s advance, and bolts of lightning split the sky!
Then, the Magrath Academy of Holy Arts joined the Untainted Sentinels... Their coordinated holy spells were certainly making things a lot easier...
They even acted after seeing the many injured! They started healing the wounded and purging corruption from the air.
Their combined sanctification spells pushed back the serpent’s venomous aura!
Needless to say, the Kildare Academy of Knights also marched into the battlefield.
They did not chase the huge serpent but instead held the streets, protecting fleeing civilians and buying precious time for the Orders to strike...
Unfortunately, many other Academies didn’t act... Some Academies decided to just escape or leave the city itself to avoid any more problems.
Their reason was simple, they didn’t want their prodigies to get injured here.
At the very least, some other Academies took a different approach. The Vermont Academy of Dark Arts did not rush into battle but instead spread across the city...
They decided to search for the mastermind of this incident!
"This is definitely a work done by Dark Arcanists... Unforgivable! They’re deliberately destroying our reputation!"
"We must kill these people!"
"No... Capture them and let everyone know that we’re different from the Rogue Dark Arcanists!"
"Alright! I will find them!"
They were all determined to locate the summoners!
Even the Adaereth Academy of Rune Arts acted to help him...
They started sealing alleyways and weakening the serpent’s movements!
Together, the Orders and the academies fought to contain the outbreak of Evil Entities!

Soon, the members of the Evanescent Vessels cast cursed chains to bind the wolf‑like beasts, while the Lore Hunters unleashed storms to burn them down.
Then, the Untainted Sentinels would either smite or repel the winged creatures...
But the Red Snake was no ordinary entity. Its scales resisted fire, its body shrugged off chains, and its venomous breath corroded even holy barriers!
It was definitely close to the level of a Half-Immortal!
The battle raged on.
Although late, the city guards fought alongside the Orders and academies, but the serpent’s rampage continued.
Every moment, more lives were lost...
In the sewers, Vermont’s Dark Arts Professors followed the traces of the Rogue Dark Acanists!
They could feel the corrupted energy thickening, leading them closer to the main Summoning Circle used to release the Evil Entities!
This would be a huge discovery if they succeeded!

Meanwhile, as Vale was starting to relax since everything was going well, a faint sound of a door creaking broke his concentration.
Vale turned his head. The coffee shop he had chosen as his vantage point was closed to the public... Yet someone had entered without hesitation.
A figure stepped out of the shadows, and her presence was unmistakable. Queen Sabrina of the Luminara Kingdom...
Vale smiled faintly. "How did you get here?"
He wasn’t asking about the shadow spell she had used to slip past his detection spells, move closer to him. He had seen her do such things before.
What he wanted to know was how she had arrived in this realm from the Shadow Realm!
