Armipotent

Chapter 1951: Maybe...

Chapter 1951: Maybe...

"How do I say it... Their spells are bad and basic if we have to compare them with the skills provided by the System. They can turn their arms into metal or regenerative stones, increase their strength which basically increases their stats, increase their regeneration, turn them into a giant, and something like that..."

Zowen explained while telling Tang Shaoyang to scrap the idea about Barbarian Mage.

"I thought about it because the way you fight is similar to them, but now that I think about it, those spells are useless to you. Just the way they used the spells left a long-lasting impression on me. They came into my mind because you asked about magic that might work in your fighting style. Those barbarians were quite extreme because they even gave their organs tattoos despite having quite a high mortality rate from tattooing their organs. They reminded me of you."

"Not really useless, maybe we can change the spell to something useful, no? For example, a spell that increases my stats based on percentage instead of a fixed number. I don’t see a benefit from transformation spells, but it is always good to have more stats," Tang Shaoyang did not mind having more stats.

That was another way to close the gap with the people who had become players for hundreds or even thousands of years. They were for sure had more levels than him, meaning they had more stats than him.

"I can work on it, but as I said earlier, we have something better already. Your people, those nerd gamers as Lu An told me, called those classes as a support class. The support class specializes in enhancing allies and weakening enemies. They can increase your speed, giving you a protective barrier, and a variety of buffs. Healer is part of the support class as well."

Zowen explained Tang Shaoyang. She was currently working on Elemental Power, but she could spare some time to work on the Barbarian Mage. However, the Barbarian Mage was just the inferior version of the support class.

"It will take time to work on those barbarian spells, but again, I would rather focus on my current project. I am working on Elemental Power, and I want to try to obtain Elemental Power by learning or maybe any other easier alternatives to obtain instead of relying on a class or a skill scroll. I recommend you to get an assistant with a support class that focuses on buffing you up instead of learning the ineffective Barbarian Mage’s spell."

Tang Shaoyang was considering his options, and he felt it wasn’t too bad to take a support class. However, he needed a specific support class that worked for him. He did not want a healer for sure, but something that would increase his stats, perhaps his speed, or possibly his magic power output. This would also be beneficial since he manipulated elemental power as well.

"Wait... You said you want to talk about magic because of your next class? Don’t pick a support class, pick something that complements your build. Something that makes your sword stronger or your fist stronger instead," Zowen remembered that he came to her to discuss magic and whether he could incorporate magic into his fighting style.

"I don’t mind taking a support class as long as it fits my needs," Tang Shaoyang was looking for something, and he at least found something rather than a blind, a direction he needed to work toward.

"Didn’t you hear me? You can pick an assistant or choose the people with a support class and nurture that person to be your assistant... Wait..." Zowen suddenly remembered something, "You have Lunea. How do I forget about her? Her main class is support, and she has her blessing that will empower you. You already have someone who can buff you and is willing to follow you around."

Tang Shaoyang nodded understandingly, but then he remembered his awkward situation with Lunea. He scratched his head, "I will talk with her later..."

They had more discussions with magic, and there were a lot of things he could incorporate into his fighting style. The magic or skill that could be used to slow down his enemy, or magic that could make his enemy blind. However, Zowen could not confirm how effective miscellaneous magic on God Rank was.

The effect only lasted a few seconds on God Rank, and it might be game-changing, but she also did not recommend getting a class for those magics. It would be better for him to acquire the spell from the skill scroll instead.

Zowen unfortunately did not have much time to continue the conversation because of her research. He did not expect her to be that busy, and she needed to teach her apprentices as well.

Tang Shaoyang did not get what he wanted from the visit, but he found a direction for his next class. A self-buffer class might be a good idea, and it complements his God of Martial Class that he will get when he cleans up the Skywound Realm.

[If you want a class that could increase your stats, what about Dark Champion?]

On the way out of the academy, Vandir gave him a suggestion.

"Dark Champion?"

[It’s a branch of Necromancy, but instead of using a body to summon undead, you use dead bodies to empower yourself with a ritual, and the increase is permanent which is better than the support class you consider.]

That was a solid suggestion, but the class would clash with his Spirit Contractor class.

"The bodies, I need the bodies to create an army, and I don’t think it’s an idea to split the body for ritual. Unless there’s no requirement for the ritual sacrifices."

Vandir fell silent for a moment before responding.

[Yes, that will not work. The stronger or the higher quality your sacrifices are, the stronger the effect of the ritual. So yeah, it will not work.]

"And I also have a skill that can increase my stats if I want to, Chaos Absorption," Tang Shaoyang added, but he needed to use it on the people of the same rank, or the skill would be ineffective. The reason why he did use the skill.

"Any suggestions guys? Anything that might fit for me," he asked his spirits. He forgot that his spirits had actually had long experiences as well, and they might have a good suggestion for him.

[Why don’t you visit your spirit worlds, and maybe you will find something there?]

Avyn gave him an unrelated suggestion, but a good suggestion nevertheless. It had nothing to do with getting a new class, but something he had been delaying because of his lack of Spirit Energy. However, he had gathered a lot of Spirit Energy after many sacrifices and also many summonings. He could last a few weeks in Spirit World with his current Spirit Energy.

"Put that in my list. After getting my God of Martial class, I want to clear the dimensional tower first, then we can visit the Spirit World."

His goal was to get stronger, and he did not know what the Spirit World could offer to him, but it was worth a shot as it might get his class stronger.

[How about sacrificing all the spirits in the Spirit Worlds?] Vandir gave him an evil idea. He would get tons of stats by sacrificing the spirits in the Spirit World, but there must be a consequence about it.

[You might not be able to contact a spirit anymore if you do that. If the System did not stop you, the spirits would not want to have a contract with you. Isn’t that the reason why you stopped sacrificing spirits back then?] Karan reminded Tang Shaoyang of the consequences.

He did sacrifice a lot of spirits when he summoned a weaker spirit with a zombie sacrifice. Then he found out that the spirits could sense a malicious aura from him if he sacrificed too many spirits.

Tang Shaoyang was thinking of visiting the mountain where Kalliyan lived. The Kirin might have some knowledge about classes since the half-dragon had lived longer and integrated into the System longer than him.

However, he received a message from Kang Xue. Zowen might tell her that he wants to know more about support classes. Kang Xue asked him to meet her, Lunea, Arina, and Selena. They all had similar classes, but Arina and Selene’s focus was on the backline as an actual support. Kang Xue’s class was apparently categorized into a support class as well even though she was a butcher on the battlefield.

He recalled Kang Xue’s class related to Light Elemental Power, but he did not recall the exact name.

Tang Shaoyang turned around and came back to the academy complex because the meeting location was in another tower. The place is called Light Tower, the Healer Division quarter.

He arrived in front of the Light Tower and was amazed by the architecture of the tower, it was for sure taller than the Magic Tower. He recalled Zowen complaining to him many times during their discussion, and he understood why.
