Chapter 1954: Actually Picking a New Class? (2)

Kiara’s story was about one of her ancestors who became a legend, but no one could confirm it. The reason Kiara and her people joined the Administrator was to recover their ancestor’s legend that had been lost, or they were searching for something that could bring their tribe back to their prime.

Her ancestor was known as Spirit Beast, using the beast spirit into his body that make himself stronger. It was known that her ancestor had more than a hundred spirit beasts, and his body was strong enough to put a hundred spirit beasts into his body.

Her ancestor became one of the four guardians of the Elderhoof Dominion back then, the top ten renowned beastmen empires in the God Realm. While their name still left an impression on many, they were in a decline right now. They formed an alliance with the other beastmen kingdom and empire to contend with the other forces in the God Realm.

How the class worked was similar to his Spirit Contractor, but also different. The spirit in his terms was a dead spirit, but the spirit Kiara’s ancestor contracted was a living being, a race called spirit in the form of a beast. That was all he got from the way Kiara shared her story.

Kiara’s ancestor did not summon the spirit, but he must look for the spirit and form a contract with them. The way the class worked was similar to Spirit Integration, but also different. He infused his body with Spirit Beast and gained their ability and stats. That was right, he added their stats into him while he had not figured out how the stats increase worked with his spirit.

Meanwhile, Tang Shaoyang’s spirit did have a rank, but they did not have a status screen that showed their attributes. The higher the rank of the spirit, the he gained more stats. That was how it usually worked with Spirit Integration.

Kiara was unsure if it was considered a support class, but it was something he was looking for. Just like his class, he could infuse his Spirit Beast into someone else. That was the reason why she considered this as a support class because it could be used to support allies with it.

Renan also shared a similar story, the difference was what Renan shared was something that existed. Someone from his world had that class, but only nine of them reached the God Rank. The class was called War Shaman.

War Shaman could summon totems and use those totem to give buffs to their allies. War Shaman had more than ten totems that gave different buffs. The totem let out a pulse for a certain area, and whoever was in the area would get buffed. Of course, the buff only applied to allies, and their enemy would not get the buff even if the pulse reached them.

Not just buff, War Shaman could debuff the enemies as well. The Slow Debuff made the enemies around the totem slow, and then there was fog where the totem would release a fog that disturbed the enemy’s sight, but the allies were not affected by the fog, there was also the Lightning Totem where it gave paralysis to the enemy temporarily, and more.

War Shaman was an actual support class by definition. Renan told Tang Shaoyang that War Shaman was sought in his world and also became the number one assassination target by their enemy. The reason why there were only nine people in the War Shaman class was because of the same reason. Most of them were assassinated before they could reach the God Rank.

The class was a curse but also a blessing at the same time. A curse because the bearer class would be targeted for assassination, and a blessing because the kingdom they served would treat them like a king. Most of the time, the War Shaman was a decider in a war, someone who controlled the battle.

Tang Shaoyang could see how the class would be useful for him since he had the Skeleton Army and also the Spirit Army. He could support them from behind, but unfortunately, it was not his style. He preferred the Spirit Beast to War Shaman for sure if he had to choose.

The third story came from Lucia, and she was telling him about Emblem Bearer. The class was similar to War Shaman but worked differently. The Emblem Bearer could only buff the people on their list. Before the war or battle, the Emblem Bearer must add the names of the people to the list.

It was quite troublesome compared to War Shaman, but it had an edge against the War Shaman. There was no range limit for Emblem Bearers as they could give the buff with unlimited range. That was right, Emblem Bearer could stay out of the battle and still could give the buff. The minus point was that they could not give debuff to the enemy.

From all three classes that was told to, he was more interested in the Spirit Beast. That was the only class that gave him bonus stats, but not something he expected because it added the Spirit Beast’s stats instead of increasing his stats by percentage. He preferred the latter because it would be more effective since he had high stats.

Tang Shaoyang checked the thirty-nine classes that Adam had sorted out for him. He found Emblem Bearer and War Shaman in the list, but not with Spirit Beast. He put aside the list and opened the System Record, then he searched Spirit Beast, and he found the class.

"Can I choose Spirit Beast for my reward, Adam?"

[You can, Sir.]

Tang Shaoyang put Spirit Beast into a class that he might take for reward as he focused back on the thirty-nine classes. He sorted it out further, taking out the class he did not like and did not fit what he was looking for.

He did not consider War Shaman and Emblem bearer even after hearing how the class worked. And if he had to guess by name and their skills, he might not pick them as well.

Tang Shaoyang tried his best to sort them out, but he quickly found out that he might choose the wrong path.

The Mystical Hexblade was one of the support classes that he looked for. It had the skills he was looking for, increasing his stats such as Hex Strength, Hex Agility, Hex Vitality, and so on. Even though there was no explanation for what it did, he expected them to increase his ally’s stats or himself, or maybe decrease his enemy’s stats.

It also had a variety of curses and other debuffs, but he could not imagine how this class would fit into his fighting style.

There was also Nature Bane, something similar to Druid, but it specialized in poisons, different kinds of interesting poison. Hallucinogenic Spore that self-explanatory what the skill did, poison that weakened the enemy, and more types of poisons that focused on weakening his enemy. There was no lethal poison. Of course, the class allowed him to manipulate plants as well, similar to Jasmine.

He was also interested in Chronoknight, a class that allowed him to control time to a certain extent. That was what Vandir and Urosa told him. He was excited when he found out about it, but he lost the excitement once he checked the skill.

Delay Attack as its name implied, would delay the enemy attack. He felt like he did not need skill like this when he had Absolute Sense. He could read his enemy movement pretty well even if it was a God Rank. Even Thomas Lysvand did not give him any trouble, at all.

However, there was an interesting passive skill that he might want from the class. It was called Alacrity, a skill that allowed him to gain more reflexes, perception, and also his speed. At least, that was how his spirits interpreted the skill.

There was no such time stop skill that Lunea used on him when they first met or a skill that froze time just like what she did to her own body back then. Chronoknight was the inferior version of time manipulation. Yet again, he did not need the class because his Absolute Sense already covered what the class did. One skill that was worth one class.

There was another class that increased his stats as well, and it was called Battle Bard. The skills were Boost Attack, Boost Speed, Boost Defense, and even Boost Morale. He expected Boost attack would increase the stats that made his attack stronger, or the skill just empowered his attack which caused more damage. Either way good for him, but it was a bard.

The skill is not bad, but the way he activated the skill was the turn-off for him. He must sing a song or play an instrument. Not because he was embarrassed, but because there was an activation time which might be a problem for him who always moved alone. He had his spirits, but he still did not like how the class worked.

When he thought he found a direction for his new class only found out that the support class was not the same as what he imagined.

"This would take longer than I thought..."
