Chapter 1956: Sixth Class

The trio of the Lysvand Family: Gianni, Nikolas, and Mathias put the Spirit Beast as their suggestion. Not just them, the two Demons and Zara also suggested the class for Tang Shaoyang. Maldros and the others seemed to agree to consider Spirit Beast, the class with the most votes.

The reason was that the Spirit Beast could give Tang Shaoyang a variety of new skills to use. Just like how he integrated with the spirit and could use the spirit’s ability.

Infusing the Spirit Beast would grant him the Spirit Beast’s ability. If he managed to contract a beast spirit with Space Power, then he would be able to use the Space Power. The variety of the beast would make him unpredictable, and he could choose what kind of beast spirit would fit into his fighting style. While this might overlap with Spirit Contractor, it had an unlimited potential by infusing with more than a hundred beast spirits.

Juggernaut had the second most votes. This class was circumstantial, and because Tang Shaoyang would go to war against two big alliances, this class would be fit for him. The reason it got the second most votes instead of the highest votes was because the war was still far in the future.

The plan was in five years, and the spirits believed Tang Shaoyang would be able to earn the credits to get this class later on. There was no need to rush to get the class, meanwhile, he needed to look for the beast spirits for Spirit Beast class and made a contract with them. It would take a while to build up the arsenal for the Spirit Beast.

The Dark Lord had a skill that increased his stats based on how many undead died on the battlefield. The spirits put it on the top five list because of Tang Shaoyang’s Necromastery. He could summon the undead without using a dead body which removed the clash between the Dark Lord and the Spirit Contractor class.

Since he already had a skeleton army, they agreed to expand the army further. Tang Shaoyang summoned the Skelly Family, and they did not oppose the idea of increasing the number of the army.

However, Skelly1, the actual commander of the Skeleton Army reminded Tang Shaoyang that he might have the number, but not the quality. It meant the additional numbers would not become elite soldiers because they would need bones to make them stronger. To make them all elite soldiers, Tang Shaoyang would need the dead bodies, and it would conflict with his Spirit Contractor where he needed bodies to summon the spirit.

The next class was Divine Lord which was put by Zara that earned a lot of votes as well. Of course, Vandir and Jovrick showed their opposition to taking the class since they despised anything that related to Divine. It was another similar class to Spirit Contractor and Spirit Beast, but he made a contract with a Divine Creature and was only limited to Divine Creature.

It was quite confusing for Tang Shaoyang with how many types of creatures and spirits there were, but Zara gave a good example for him. The four Heavenly Beasts that were part of the Nine Heavenly Gates were considered Divine Creature. Angel is also considered a Divine Creature.

The former fallen angel recognized the class because she knew someone who made a contract with this class. The trio of the Lysvand Family seemed to know more about angels which was why they pushed this class to the top five.

Oath-Bound Knight was an interesting class that received half of his spirit’s support. The reason was simple the way he increased his stats was by fulfilling the oath he made. A unique way to increase his stats. Of course, the reason why this class was put into the last five was because the increased stats were permanent instead of temporary like the remaining four classes.

Aside from all the benefits, the five classes were chosen because they knew what kind of classes these five were. Instead of choosing something vague and unclear, they agreed to pick a class they knew about.

"I don’t like Oath-Bound Knight, and the Divine Lord has a big weakness. Let’s put the two aside and consider them for future choices instead," Tang Shaoyang immediately scrapped two of them easily. It was easier to choose when he was faced with such a limited option.

The big weakness of the Divine Lord was the Divine Creature. It would be different than making a contract with the dead spirit. For the Divine Lord, it depended on the Divine Creature whether they wanted to form the contract or not. If they said no, then he did not have any other choice but to let the Divine Creature go.

He could force the dead spirit into submission, but he could not do it to the Divine Creature. Zara mentioned that the Divine Creature was arrogant, unless he offered something they wanted, he might not be able to form a single contract. There was a chance that the Divine Creature was not willing to make a contract as well considering his Necromastery.

The class was strong, but he didn’t like it when he had to rely on someone or something to make it strong. He already could imagine what kind of ridiculous request they would ask, and he might kill that creature and lose his class. That was right, if he killed the Divine Creature he summoned, he would lose the class right away. There was no warning whether the Divine Creature provoked him or not.

"If we talk about a big weakness, then the Dark Lord also has a big weakness. The increased stats for the Dark Lord are also based on the undead’s rank, and you have to give up a lot of bodies to rank up all the undead which would make it overlap with the Spirit Contractor class. You don’t want stats from the lower-rank undead that only give you one or ten increased stats. Unless we have an alternative to rank up the undead."

Zara immediately eliminated the Dark Lord class from the list. It took them almost three hours to get these five classes, and they easily eliminated them from the list. That left with Spirit Beast and Juggernaut.

Nikolas and Radiance screamed at the same time. They screamed out of their frustration. They sorted out more than five hundred classes only to return to the class they already knew, Spirit Beast.

The two immediately realized that between the two classes, Tang Shaoyang would pick the Spirit Beast. They already knew Juggernaut did not give an immediate benefit, so they were left with Spirit Beast. That was why Radiance and Nikolas screamed together.

Gianni slapped his grandson’s head as hard as he could. The noise echoed in the room, and that slap immediately silenced Radiance as well. Even though he was not Gianni’s grandson, he was afraid of the slap as well.

"I mean we are making the safe choice, no? Spirit Beast is the safest choice," Tang Shaoyang felt for what they had gone through. He knew well how frustrating it was, but they took a safe route, choosing something they knew instead of something they did not know regardless of how powerful the class name or the skill name was.

"Don’t listen to them and pick the class. It’s almost time for you to leave for the mission. We still need to figure out the skills." Zara reminded Tang Shaoyang.

"I want Spirit Beast as my class reward, Adam!"

Tang Shaoyang did not hear the response from Adam, but the notifications rang in his head.

[You have received a class scroll: Spirit Beast!]

A golden scroll appeared in front of Tang Shaoyang and slowly fell down into his hand. The moment the scroll touched his hand, a notification appeared.

[Do you wish to use the class scroll: Spirit Beast?]

Yes. He responded with his intent, and the class scroll burst out into brilliant light.

Tang Shaoyang was happy at first that his new class evolved, it meant he would be getting a stronger class, the better version of the Spirit Beast class. The happiness disappeared when he read the new name for his class.

"Shepherd?" He muttered.
