Chapter 2051: It’s Not Easy to be Caretaker

Henriette expressed her desire to purchase the Auspicious Mytherean. With how amicable the situation between them was, she thought they would be willing to sell the Auspicious Mytherean.

"I see... Unfortunately, I can’t make the decision for that," Li Shuang turned toward her husband, "What do you think?"

Tang Shaoyang listened to the conversation. He then glanced toward Filomena. The little girl was quite hopeful, but then he had to decline, "I am truly sorry, but I can’t sell them to you. They are essential to my class’s progression."

"I have another female Auspicious Mytherean back home, and we will pair with one of the males we have here. That will make two couples."

Henriette wanted to say something, but she could not come up with something convincing. It saddened her to see her daughter’s saddened face.

"What about selling one couple to me instead if you don’t want to separate them? My daughter is truly fond of the Beast Spirit," Olympe spoke up.

"As I said, it’s important to my class’s progression. I can’t sell them," Tang Shaoyang shook his head, then he saw Filomena’s down expression, almost crying as tears swelled up.

"How about this, since I plan to breed them, Filomena can pick one of the kittens of her choice once they give birth instead? It will take time, but you will get a cute kitten."

"And if you want to visit our Fabasca, you can visit our garden anytime," Tang Xiulan added.

Fabasca was the name of the Auspicious Mytherean they won from the auction. It was Cecilia’s idea, and Fabasca apparently was the name of a white flower from the Ortis Continent. Hence, he was named Fabasca.

However, that invitation would be a problem. For Filomena and her family to visit the Tang Garden, they had to meet outside the Beast Spirit Alliance. He couldn’t bring them to the Tang Garden here.

"Really? Can I visit the Tang Garden, Xiulan Pa?" Filomena cheered up when she heard she could visit the Tang Garden. She looked at Tang Shaoyang hopefully.

His daughter proudly boasted about the Tang Garden to Filomena. The latter didn’t grow jealous of Tang Xiulan, but she indeed had the look of yearning to visit this Tang Garden. Especially when Tang Xiulan mentioned the Auspicious Mytherean’s castle. Or most likely, Filomena wanted to meet Aela; whatever it was, the trouble remained the same.

If it was once in a while, Tang Shaoyang didn’t mind going his way to get to Filomena, but he could tell the little girl wanted to visit the Tang Garden often. Giving the baby Auspicious Mytherean was easier. They could use the Cladeos Emporium to send it to the Celes Kingdom. That was why he made such a promise for Filomena.

The best shot would be visiting the Tang Empire’s territory in the God Realm, but that was the problem. Tang Shaoyang did not really pay attention to his territory in the God Realm. Not even bothering to develop it yet because he didn’t have people to oversee the territory.

Aside from him, the Tang Empire had six God Ranks, and that was far from enough to defend his territory, especially when he spent most of his time outside. That was the main reason why he didn’t bother to put his workforce there. His people were not ready for the battle in the God Realm.

They had reached a dead end. No one had a solution for Filomena and her parents to visit the Tang Garden.

"How about if I work in the Tang Garden for you, Sir?" Henriette could not bear the look on her daughter’s face and proposed an idea they had never thought of before. That was by far the best solution for the case. She would have access to the Tang Garden and could bring her daughter.

"I am sorry to interrupt, Lady Henriette. Even if your husband allows you to work as a caretaker with us, you still need to fulfill a certain requirement to work as a caretaker. You can’t work even if Sir Tang Shaoyang wants to hire you because you need to be registered with the alliance."

Azhug was being serious. People like Alfred looked down on him because of his job; many people did, but there was something those people didn’t know: the job required a certain qualification.

"We can work on that, no? What’s the qualification to be a caretaker?" Henriette didn’t even ask her husband’s consent for the work, even though Azhug pointed it out. To her, it was more important to get access to the Tang Garden. Of course, she had a secondary objective aside from making her daughter happy: making a connection with the Executive Administrator.

If she secured a connection with an Executive Administrator or even became a friend, then her husband’s brothers would not dare to touch her family.

Azhug was not expecting this. He thought she would give up the moment he mentioned the qualification. He didn’t know what to do now, should he tell her or not? By the look on Lady Henriette, Prince Olympe didn’t like the idea very much. He would be an accomplice and might get on the third prince’s bad side.

"You need a suitable class to be a caretaker. Druid is the common class to be a caretaker. Why Druid? Because the class has a special affinity that can make you work with the Beast Spirit easier. All of us have the druid class, even though it’s a different type of druid. Of course, Druid is not your only choice. Mr. Elnar here, for example, has a class called Beast Spirit Veterinarian, and he is our beast spirit doctor."

Henriette truly did not expect there was a complexity just to work at the Beast Spirit Menagerie. A specific class to work as a caretaker. That was when she realized that she also looked down on these caretakers. She was ashamed to be someone she hated.

"If you already have a suitable class, then you can take the test in the Beast Spirit Alliance to get your license. "You don’t have any other way to obtain that qualification, Azhug?" Li Shuang stepped in. Someone as sharp as her she could immediately tell that Azhug didn’t tell everything. But she realized why Azhug was careful. Just by looking at Prince Olympe, she could tell that Azhug was being cautious not to offend the prince. The prince clearly didn’t like the idea of his wife working as a caretaker in the menagerie.

"There’s another way. It’s through an apprenticeship to a 5-star and above Caretaker. You have a 5-year period of apprenticeship, and your mentor will decide if you are ready for the job or not. If you are ready for the job, your mentor will vouch for you, and you will obtain the caretaker license. Of course, you still need a suitable class; you must get a suitable class during the apprenticeship, or you can’t get your license."

"However, most people avoided this apprenticeship path because it requires a 5-year period. I will also recommend the same for you, Lady Henriette. At most, it will only take you six months to pass the test instead of going through the 5 year period."

Tang Shaoyang and Li Shuang looked at the Ogre. The requirement for an apprenticeship was the 5-star Caretaker or above, and Azhug was a 6-star Caretaker.
