Chapter 2080: Let the World Knows (9)

Isidrus clicked his tongue and broke free from the ice. He tried to activate his bloodline transformation again. The ice canceled his skill for some reason, but before his skill was fully activated. He felt something holding both his ankles, and a strong force pulled him down.

He thought he would be brought underground, but then everything turned black. That was when he realized that he was not underground, but inside a shadow. This was not the first time he encountered this kind of move. Thanks to the Shadow Star, he developed a sense while inside the shadow world like this.

He pushed himself up as he quickly found the way out. In the last moment before coming out of the shadow world, something pierced his feet, both sides. Not just his feet, he felt stung on both of his calves.

There was something from that hit. He could feel that thing was weirdly weakening him. He could not explain it because this was the first time he had experienced such a thing.

Isidrus didn’t think that much, as his priority was to get out of the shadow world. He came out of the dark world, but he was greeted by a dark-red sword construct. Not just one of them, but thousands of them. The worst part was that the timing was impeccable because the sword constructs were shooting toward him.

By the time he came out, the closest sword constructs were half a meter away from him. He did his best to avoid the sword constructs mid-air, but more than twenty swords pierced his body: legs, belly, chest, and arms. In return, none of those swords hit his head.

For some reason, his body was so heavy. It felt like his strength was slowly getting drained. Whatever it was, his priority was to get his skill active first before someone else attacked him. Weirdly enough, no one attacked him at this moment, even though he suffered injuries.

He immediately thought through the pointless thoughts. Whatever their plan was, it was their mistake to give him a space to use his skill. The ice and the shadow world canceled his bloodline transformation, but not this time. He activated his skill, but nothing happened.

With his long experience in battle, he didn’t panic as he tried again, but it ended up with the same result. He tried again for the fourth time, and that was when he realized that he could not sense his energy inside. The reason he could not activate his skill was that he didn’t have enough energy to use the skill.

He looked up when he sensed someone approaching him. The beautiful woman who froze him, the red-skinned Orc, and Tang Shaoyang were standing fifteen meters away from him.

Within his attempt to activate his skills, they should have been able to reach him and kill him, but they didn’t do it. What angered him even more was the fact that a monster gave him a pitying look while shaking its head. A mere monster dared to pity him.

At this moment, he was struck with a panic attack because his energy remained empty. He tried to look into it quickly and quickly found what the cause was. The sword constructs that were inside his body were the cause, completely messing up the energy flow inside his body.

The energy that came out of his energy core was dissipating right away, resulting in him not being able to use the skill. He reached the sword construct on his left shoulder, at least he was trying to.

That was when he realized how much slower he had become. In his mind, he should pluck out at least three sword constructs from his body. That was what played in his brain while in reality, his hand moved much more slowly, and he was halfway reaching the sword construct on his shoulder.

Before he could proceed, black roots burst out from the ground around him. The black roots looked like snakes trying to bite him. With what happened to his body, this caught him off guard. The worst part was that even if he tried to react, his body just could not follow his brain right now.

He tried to take a light step to the side, trying to dodge the first wave. However, instead of dodging the black roots, he fell to the side. He fell like someone who had suddenly passed out.

Isidrus tried to get up right away, but that was when he realized that he didn’t have the strength to get up quickly. He managed to support himself with his hands, but the roots reached him. His whole body was pierced by dozens of roots, pushing his body into the air, hanging as blood soaked the roots.

At this point, his strength was completely drained. That was when he realized what weakened him, the piece of black roots on his calf and sole. It stuck there after he came out of the Shadow World.

He was completely drained, his fingers flailed weakly. His eyes slowly turned toward the sky, toward where the portal was. That was when he realized that none of his friends attempted to help him. None of them comes out of that portal.

Realization after realization came into his mind. Not because his friends didn’t want to help, but because they could not. The other Executive Administrators would not allow them to use the portal they created. If they jumped out, the Administrators would get involved.

This was what they mentioned earlier, abusing the portal granted by the system to go anywhere. But this portal was not supposed to be used for personal matters like this. He broke that rule; he used the portal, trying to fight Tang Shaoyang without consulting anyone.

His breathing ragged, his vision blurred for a moment, but it was back to normal quickly. The sword construct disrupted his energy, and the unknown black roots drained his strength. He couldn’t detect it right away because there were only a few black roots inside his body. He found it when dozens of them were inside his body.

The black roots cut themselves, leaving part of them inside his body. He lost the support from the root and fell to the ground. He was pretty much alive, but just helpless because he didn’t have energy or strength. He was no different than a crippled.

His stats were high enough that he would not die from these wounds, but what was the point when he was crippled like this? He lamented his fate until he heard something fall next to him. He slowly turned his head and found his two headless subordinates.

That was when he realized that his subordinates were brought away from him the moment they landed. He forgot about them until their bodies were presented before him. One of them was the Vice Leader, and the second one was a high-ranking commander in his faction.

Those two were not far off from him in terms of strength, but they could not escape death as well. The Serpent Star was not going to fall from losing him and these two, but they would lose a reputation for their leaders being killed like this.

A shadow loomed over him as he slowly looked up. Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang stood above his head, looking down at him with the crimson eyes that seemed to be able to look deep into his mind.

"So, how are you going to make me pay the price?"

The man questioned him in a toneless voice.

"You... will pay the price... Ten Stars Accord... will not stay still after this..." Isidrus still believed that the Ten Stars Accord would not stay still. They would want to avenge him as well as the Shadow Star, or else their reputation would crumble overnight.

"I am not sure about the price he talked about, but you should not kill—"

Arion was about to say not to kill Isidrus. But that just triggered Tang Shaoyang as he raised his right foot and stomped on Isidrus’ head. That head popped out like a watermelon.

Tang Shaoyang looked up at Arion, "Or what, Arion? I told you I would make them pay in my way, even if it means I have to fight you all! I will let the world know what will come for them if they anger me!"
