Chapter 2136: Demand and Compensation

Chapter 2136: Demand and Compensation

Arion let out a chuckle, "I guess I am an idiot. I don’t really think that involves your class’s secret. However, I would like to reach a middle ground. Is there anything that we can offer you in compensation for releasing the involved spirits? We will talk it out with the Hurakan Kingdom, and you know, they might give you something interesting."

Tang Shaoyang was annoyed with the situation. People were trying to interfere with his class, something that everyone knew was sensitive and personal.

The positive thing from this situation was that he knew these people truly didn’t know anything about his main class. They didn’t know how the contract worked. At least they seemed to assume that the contract was forceful, forcing the dead spirit to follow him, while that was not the case most of the time.

Especially the contract with the Lysvand Family and Ruben. He didn’t need to do much after they knew he was an Administrator. The Administrator’s job was to destroy the Void Cult, and that aligned with their desire. There was not much effort put into convincing the family.

Even if he somehow agreed to release them, they might not agree. On top of that, even if he released them, they would turn into an ownerless spirit. Someone with the same class might summon them again.

Based on his conversation with Arion and the others, they weren’t aware of the details of the class. That was the positive thing from this pointless exchange: the fact that they didn’t know anything about his main class.

Everything else from this meeting annoyed him. He was tasked to hunt a fleeing former Executive Administrator, and then they wanted him to release his spirits.

Even if the Hurakan Kingdom offered compensation, he didn’t think they would be able to give him the same value. The four spirits from the Hurakan Kingdom: Gianni Lysvand, Nikolas Lysvand, Mathias Lysvand, and Ruben were God Rank soldiers.

They were not just an ordinary God Rank, but a powerful one. He could not imagine what they could give him of equal value. Unless they could give a copy of his bloodline, four of them, then he might truly consider that.

The Wicked Dragon Bloodline was a bloodline with unlimited growth. Thanks to the bloodline, he managed to learn the Shadow Elemental Power and Avyn’s Ethereal Frost. He was in the process of learning Zara’s Space Concept now.

If the Hurakan Kingdom could offer him four copies of his bloodline, he truly would consider them. In fact, he would use his high-quality corpses in his inventory to increase his Spirit Power and resurrect the four spirits instead.

He could not guarantee the Lysvand Family would stay with him, but there was a chance for them to follow him. He didn’t hesitate to do so if they could give him four copies of his bloodline.

"I would like to discuss the compensation, but I don’t think they have what I want, or even if they have what I want, they will not give it to me. This conversation is pointless and a waste of our time, Arion."

Tang Shaoyang was being blunt and immediately told Arion it would be extremely hard to reach a middle ground.

"Didn’t you hear him? We are looking for a middle ground between you and the Hurakan Kingdom. Of course, they will not agree to your demand if you are asking them something ridiculous just to release their knight’s spirits."

Ebbe Telines blurted out in annoyance. He already disliked Tang Shaoyang from all the ruckus before joining the Administrator. That dislike slowly turned into hate, especially after their early interaction. He would never forget the humiliation.

"If that middle ground means I am taking a loss, then you’d better forget about it. I am not going to budge with my demand, whoever you are. Either you give me something with equal value, or no deal," Tang Shaoyang shrugged, then he smiled toward Ebbe Telines, "Or you can force me to agree, Ebbe Telines. If you can..."

"That’s unnecessary, Tang. An infighting is the last thing we need from the Executive Administrator," Arion quickly interfered. He was well aware of how easy it was to provoke Ebbe Telines and tried to stop it before it was too late.

"Let me hear your demand first. I will convey it to the Hurakan Kingdom, and we can discuss it from there. What do you think?"

"Alright," Tang Shaoyang nodded and stated his demand, "I want a copy of my bloodline. Since I have four Hurakan Kingdom’s knights’ spirits, I want four of my bloodline."

Valeria Meloda let out a chuckle, amused. But the other three were far from being amused. They didn’t like what they heard because Tang Shaoyang just asked something outrageous. From their perspective, it looked like Tang Shaoyang didn’t want to release the four spirits.

An "ordinary" dragon bloodline was hard enough to get, and Tang Shaoyang asked four of them. On top of that, the request was specific. It was the same dragon bloodline as Tang Shaoyang’s bloodline, meaning it was considered a rare dragon bloodline.

Arion kept his composure, raising his hand to stop Ebbe from speaking to Tang Shaoyang, "Alright, I will tell them about your demand. What’s your bloodline?"

"You don’t know my bloodline?" Tang Shaoyang was surprised that Arion didn’t know his bloodline.

He then glanced at Clementine, who also shook her head. If neither knew his bloodline, then Valeria and Ebbe would not know either.

"I know your dragon bloodline is different from an ordinary bloodline. I assume you upgrade your bloodline from the trial, which is an advanced version of a dragon bloodline, but I don’t know the specific..." Arion paused as his eyes widened in a realization, "Don’t tell me you are not willing to divulge your bloodline name as well?"

Tang Shaoyang rolled his eyes, "I am not going to divulge anything that is written in my status window."

That left Arion speechless and convinced that Tang Shaoyang didn’t want to release the contracted spirit. Tang Shaoyang was being unreasonable here. How was the Hurakan Kingdom supposed to know his bloodline if he didn’t tell them?

"I don’t think you need to worry about the name. There’s no way someone close to an actual God doesn’t know my bloodline, no?"

Tang Shaoyang was talking about the King of the Hurakan Kingdom. He heard the rumor that he could meet an actual God behind the System through the King of the Hurakan Kingdom. For someone who had met a God, he should have met and known the Wicked Dragon.
