Chapter 2169: Heavenly Soul Sutra’s influence (1)

Tang Shaoyang was focused on filling up a small part of his sea with fish. He was surprised to find that he was having fun with what he was doing right now. He began to create the small fish, and the first thing that came to mind was the fish he had seen on TV back then.

The red-stripe fish and the blue fish. He didn’t even know what their real name was, but he just needed to visualize the image and put his intent.

Of course, he ended up making a different fish with a similarity to the image in his head. For the striped fish, instead of red and white, it was red-black-yellow. On top of that, it had two pairs of fins, and it was the size of his head, much bigger than what he imagined.

The blue fish he imagined was not blue. It was yellow, green, black & white, aurora green & red, and more. It was everything but blue. He didn’t know why, but it seemed like there was something wrong with his creation. Most of them were created differently, but they showed a resemblance to the image in his head.

He didn’t forget to add more krill into his sea, not just a few hundred, but around forty thousand of them. At some points, the blue turned golden for a moment as the krills spread out.

As he was having fun with his creation and was not worried about running out of internal energy, he ended up creating more fish and other sea creatures.

He added an actual shrimp, a few hundred of them. Its size doubled the krill, and its carapaces were black. He imagined them to have a red translucent shell, but it turned out to be black. It had four small claws, and its carapace looked stronger than it was supposed to be.

After shrimp, he added squid as well, the small ones. Even when he pictured a small squid, a few centimeters long. He ended up creating a fifty-centimeter-long. He made fifty of them.

Then he added tuna just because he felt like it. He expected the tuna would be bigger than what he imagined, but he didn’t expect it to be this big. It was around six meters long, almost the size of an orca with two striking lines, red and yellow, across its body. He created fifty of them for starters and let them be, as he created even more fish.

He thought of creating a big fish, and there were two fish that came into his mind: shark and swordfish right away. He was hesitating about making a shark, afraid that it might create a mess. With that in mind, he decided to make the swordfish instead.

Tang Shaoyang’s image of the swordfish was around five meters long, but he ended up creating a twelve-meter monster. The upper body and back were black, and the lower half was silvery white, creating a smooth gradient.

The distinctive features of the swordfish were the set of bright vertical yellow stripes running along its side. He saw the stripes were glowing in the dark as it swam into the deeper part of the sea.

Another distinctive feature was the snout-like sword. The real swordfish had a snout that resembled a sword, hence people called it swordfish, but the one he created had an actual sword, a double-edged sword. It was glinting under the sun, and it looked sharp.

That sword stopped him from creating more than two swordfish. He was unsure what this dangerous-looking fish would do, so he didn’t dare create too many of them. Aside from his concerns, his anticipation built up.

Tang Shaoyang was having fun, filling his sea with various kinds of fish, but he decided to stop after creating the swordfish. It was still far from filling his sea with lives, but he decided to stop for now.

He decided to give some time before continuing his project, an observation to see what kind of change these fish would bring to his Soul Palace. Whether they had a positive impact or a negative impact on his Soul Palace. He needed time for an observation to see how these lives would affect his soul before continuing the project.

He stayed in the Soul Palace for a little longer, observing the fish and their behavior. He thought the tuna and the swordfish would eat the krill or maybe the smaller fish. But the two biggest fish swam away from the coral and went to the deeper part of the sea.

The krills also spread out all over, with just half of them staying in the decorated part. The first two colorful fish also stayed at the great wall of reef, and the regal blue tang, which was not blue anymore, wandered between the coral and the kelp forest.

The squid and the shrimp also stayed in the same area, and so far, none of the fish have been eating each other. Even when he created the krill to be the fish’s food, no one tried to chase, let alone eat, the golden krill. They were living in harmony, not attacking each other.

Tang Shaoyang thought they were trying to settle up, setting up their home before going at each other. That was what he thought. He ended up staying longer than he wanted to see how his creatures interacted. There was no interaction at all.

He would like to call, as they were living in harmony, but the fact was that they were ignoring each other.

They lived with "You do your own things, I will do my own thing", not bothering each other, let alone preying on each other. He created the krills to be the fish’s food, but they ended up living side by side with the fish that was supposed to be their predator.

Nothing happened on the reef, so he then decided to check on his tuna. His fifty tunas were staying together, exploring the ocean. Seeing the tunas that were almost the same size as an orca moving together like this was quite intimidating.

Different from his tuna, his two swordfish split up. The same with tuna, they seemed to explore the ocean. He wished that he could perceive their will so he knew what they were looking for. He could provide what they wanted, but he could not.

He could sense wherever they were and saw them live, but that was it. He had no way of knowing what they wanted as they seemed to swim aimlessly.

Tang Shaoyang observed his aquarium for a little bit longer. He still had doubts about adding more living creatures, afraid of the clash between his creatures that might negatively impact his Soul Palace.

As he was watching them, he continued his coral reef project, finishing his great wall of reef. He added seaweed as well and more kelp forests, focusing on decorating the sea while keeping a watch on the existing fish’s behavior.

Tang Shaoyang finished his project within two hours. He went on beyond, even adding a shipwreck. Of course, it was the old ship that was made of wood, not the modern ship with an engine and steel. He felt the modern ship lacked aesthetic.

After he was done with the decoration and nothing happened with the existing fish, he started to add more living creatures.
