Chapter 2193: His Answer

Chapter 2193: His Answer

The Sacred Realm closed itself after the war, so the goods from the Sacred Realm were considered a rare item, and many would pay a high price for those goods. This was a bonus, an additional motivation that it was the right decision to take the job.

The flying ship sailed and entered the portal. The ship itself could create a temporary portal, but the ability cost a massive amount of energy. Depending on the distance, the ability could consume more than a million energy. One time, the ability consumed almost ten million energy.

He glanced at his friend, who was in charge of creating the portal. His friend made an okay signal, meaning it didn’t consume that much energy for this trip.

The ship entered the Sacred Realm, and Tamila could immediately sense the fierce aura and energy around them. It was a turbulence of energy, a sign of a big fight.

Tamila immediately sensed the source of the turbulence, coming from below. He went over to the edge and looked below. He spotted two figures, one was weakly floating in the air, and the other was holding a battleaxe.

He wanted to believe those two were not related to the job. But based on the impact of the battle around them, this was the result of a battle between two God Ranks.

"Which one is Alderman!?" He asked the client.

"The one without an axe!"

"Secure our target, Lilla!" Then he turned toward the person in charge of the portal, "Get ready to leave, Mortis! We will leave right after securing our target. The rest will join me to stop that guy!"

Tamila had a change of mind. He didn’t mind helping Alderman get away and leave afterward. But the battle was over, and Alderman lost the fight. If they lingered for too long, the Administrator might send a reinforcement.

"Wise decision." The client commented from the side.

Tang Shaoyang heard a series of commands from the ship, but he could not make out what they said. Through the Chaos Eyes, he could take a peek at who was on board.

There were thirty-three people on board, and one of them was wearing a cloak that obscured the face. There was this ominous feeling coming from this cloaked figure, and he sensed a familiarity with this figure as well.

It was not the body shape that gave him a sense of familiarity, but the energy. He felt like he had encountered this figure before. He just could not recall when or who this person was.

Alderman seemed to notice the flying ship, and his eyes lit up when he spotted the emblem on the sail. He recognized the Phantom Rover right away. He made many deals with them through a middleman.

When he needed someone to do the dirty job for him, he would hire them. With his experiences with them, he could ask them to help him escape from Tang Shaoyang. The Phantom Rover would do anything for the right price. There was a hope for him to survive this predicament.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t know what the people in the flying ship wanted to do, but he had a bad feeling about them. They appeared where he and Alderman were. They might come to help the Alderman.

He raised the axe, intending to finish Alderman before dealing with these people. As he raised his axe, a figure appeared behind. A woman with long black hair and green eyes, wearing a light blue battle dress with a sword on her waist. She didn’t pull the sword as she didn’t intend to fight.

She tried to grab Alderman, but a dark-red blade swung down at her hand. She was quick with her reaction, pulling her hand away. As she was about to grab the man for the second time, she quickly realized that she was surrounded by the dark-red blades. There were fifty of them, pointing at her from all directions.

Tang Shaoyang noticed the hesitation in the woman’s eyes. He didn’t know why the woman suddenly hesitated, but he was not going to hesitate in a battle. He made a move to kill.

The blades were about to shoot at the woman as the cloaked figure appeared between him and Alderman. At the same time the cloaked figure appeared, the Chaos Blade broke apart.

"Bring him back to the ship. I will delay him!"

The woman didn’t hesitate to grab Alderman and disappear, leaving the cloaked figure and Tang Shaoyang.

Tang Shaoyang was about to give chase until the cloaked figure spoke to him, "As I said in our previous meeting, I need your answer now, Tang Shaoyang."

He stopped when his name was mentioned. He might be the famed Executive Administrator, but his face was still unknown to many people in the God Realm. It was a surprise that the cloaked figure recognized him. That meant they had met before, and he seemed to be correct about encountering this figure once before.

"My answer?"

Tang Shaoyang was confused, trying to recall his past encounters. A lot of things happened, but he didn’t recall the encounter, let alone give an answer.

"It seems you forgot about me, but that makes sense considering you have gone through a lot. My name is Redmond. Does that ring a bell with you?"

This was the first time he heard the name. If he didn’t remember the name, that meant this cloaked figure was not important. That was most likely why he didn’t remember. It was because he deemed this person unimportant.

"You cut my hand, and I almost split you in half in our previous meeting."

An event replayed in his head when that one specific moment was mentioned. One of the Void Cult’s emperors and also a former Executive Administrator, some with the Corrupted Immortal Emperor title.

He fought the cloaked figure once before he was appointed as the Executive Administrator. He remembered that back then, he was just a Senior Administrator.

As for the answer this figure asked for. It was an invitation to join the Void Cult. Redmond once mentioned that he would join the Void Cult once he found out the Administrator’s dark side.
