Chapter 2285: Different Than Expectation
Chapter 2285: Different Than Expectation
Tang Shaoyang confirmed that the Stygian Wither Clan wanted to join the Tang Empire. Through the Chaos Eyes, he saw how they took the longer route toward their destination. The way they took a detour to the portal gate was enough proof of his guess.
He could see their destination through his bird’s-eye view, yet Krazon didn’t take him there right away. He was curious at first about what Krazon wanted to show him; maybe they were grabbing some food on the way.
Tang Shaoyang was disappointed because Krazon took him to a fancy district where the major merchants opened their shops. Each shop showed an impressive item, but not many that interested him.
While each of the displayed items was impressive, he could not find something better than the one he had right now. The World Destroyer and the Azure Dragon Blade were still the better side. There were armors and robes. He might consider buying them for his wives, but that was it; nothing really impressive that caught his interest.
He also spotted the Cladeos Emporium among many. That was the only time he showed a reaction. It made sense for the major merchant to open a shop in the city known as a dungeon city.
He was not surprised if they had their own teams to dive the dungeons. The dungeon’s items were sources of product for them, after all.
They arrived at the building that Krazon mentioned by taking a small detour. This confirmed the Stygian Wither Clan’s intention. The talk would be more than just cooperation. Krazon was trying too hard to show the good things that his clan had.
Tang Shaoyang didn’t show any reaction, following Krazon without any words. He was not showing any interest. It was the same as telling Krazon that their clan couldn’t use this city to gain leverage in their deal later.
Aera City was without a doubt impressive, but he didn’t show it. The security inside was quite impressive as well. The way they put the portal gate was something he should copy. The only way to reach the teleportation room was to use a teleportation gate. That way, they could limit access to avoid something dangerous.
Of course, it was only an important teleportation gate. Such as the teleportation gate to his Demonic Calamity World. He kept this in mind.
"The Dragon Realm is behind this portal, Sir."
Tang Shaoyang nodded, "Lead the way."
Krazon entered the portal, and Tang Shaoyang followed.
The moment his vision returned from the teleportation, he quickly expanded his Chaos Eyes, getting a bird’s-eye view of his surroundings. That was to ensure that this was not a trap. If it was a trap, he was prepared for what would come.
Tang Shaoyang was surprised by what he discovered through the bird-view vision. He was quite speechless. There was no trap or anything, which surprised him because of where he was. To be more exact, the architecture of the structures around him. If he had to describe it in one word, he felt like he was in a rural village.
He was standing right in the middle of the village, an altar made of wood with a teleportation gate on it. And yes, most of the structures were made of wood with yellow thatch as the roof. That was right; all structures were made of wood, pure wood.
He could tell the wood might be stronger than the concrete and structures of Earth before the Game, but it still weirded him out to see this type of structure.
The window had no glass; it was just wide open. There was no net, but they could close it. There were no really two-floor structures, only a few. That might be their preference, but from his perspective, this place was like a rural area that was left behind.
When he said village, it was a genuine village with less than a hundred houses. His expanded Chaos Eyes could see the entire village. The village’s wall was made of wood as well; he spotted a tower made of wood too. Everything was made of wood, and there was no lamp or magic crystal that used to be lightning. They were using torches.
He understood that they didn’t really need that lightning since they could see through the darkness, but still. This was totally different from his expectations. To be honest, he was a little bit disappointed.
Tang Shaoyang said nothing about it and looked at the people gathered below the altar. There was a group of twenty Dragonkin. He also saw a lot of guards. Most of them didn’t carry weapons or wear armor. They were proud dragonkin. Their hands were their weapons, and their scales were their armor.
Most of the dragonkin had the same dark-gray scales as Krazon. Their eyes were bright yellow with a pair of horns. Their wings were tucked in; no one showed their wings.
"The ten Dragonkin in the front are the Elders of the Stygian Wither Clan, Sir."
Krazon told Tang Shaoyang, "Please follow me, Sir."
Tang Shaoyang nodded. All attention was on him, and he could tell that they were weirded out by his outfit as well. He was an Executive Administrator and also an Emperor. They might not expect him to dress up like this.
The Elders might have received Krazon’s message about him wanting to talk about the business first. He was led to the structure that might be their village hall.
It was a big hall where everyone was seated on the ground, on a thick straw. He was surprised that the straw was actually soft and as comfortable as the sofa. On the way to the hall, Krazon introduced the Elders. Their names were kinda hard for him to remember. Their similar appearances didn’t help him remember them as well.
He only remembered three names out of ten names mentioned by Krazon. Elder Kryndor, the Dragonkin with an old voice and the shortest among the Elders. Even though Elder Kryndor was short, that was by the dragonkin’s standard. He was still taller than Tang Shaoyang, maybe around 2.5 meters tall.
Elder Eryndor was the tallest, almost reaching four meters tall, and he had four horns instead of two like the others. The third one was Elder Ignidarth, who had the darkest scales, and his eyes were leaning toward orange.
Tang Shaoyang was sitting alone and facing the ten Elders. The other ten dragonkin were standing on the side, and Krazon was sitting to his right, but between him and the Elders.
"Let’s get straight to the business, Krazon. What cooperation do you want to talk about?"
