Chapter 2303: Spirit Advancement

Chapter 2303: Spirit Advancement

Tang Shaoyang’s life returned to a routine where he would focus on clearing abandoned worlds, then on cultivation. He didn’t neglect Shepherd of the Beast Spirits. He had capable people developing his Tang Garden as his attributes kept improving.

There were so many applications for the Beast Spirits. He could summon them to fight for him, and he could fuse them into him to gain their skills and bonus attributes. It was similar to Spirit Contractor, but that was not his main focus.

As per his agreement with Azhug, they agreed not to keep the Battle Beast Spirit. It didn’t mean his Beast Spirits were not capable of fighting, but they were not trained for it.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t think much about it, but he would like to explore that option later on. Not now, because his main focus was still cultivation, Calamity Demonification, and gathering more bodies for Spirit Advancement.

That was right; he decided to increase the number of Pinnacle Rank Archaic Spirits. He had four as of now: Avyn, Vandir, Zara, and Karan. He wanted to upgrade more of them before the God Realm Champion.

He used Demonification only on Rank 10 and above Calamity this time. He used Rank 9 and below Calamity as materials for his spirit advancement. The reason was that he kept getting the mindless Calamity Spirit. That was why he decided to use those calamity bodies for spirit advancement instead.

He was also on another project. It was the companion he had. Vandir mentioned that something would happen once he completed them. He lacked Lust, so he dove into the abandoned world to find that one last piece.

Unfortunately, there was no Demonic Calamity that wanted to be bound with him. There was no Demonic Calamity that offered itself to be bound with him. The Sloth and Envy didn’t happen again.

He still had a connection, and he could probably force one for them to form the bond. However, that felt wrong, and he was afraid that it might not work; the change might not happen if he forced the bond.

So yeah, that was his activity for six months. Going on a mission to clear the abandoned world, then going for cultivation while gathering the Demonic Calamity.

The time of clearing the abandoned had increased as well. From three weeks to two weeks. Then from two weeks to nine days. He could shorten it further, but Arion and Clementine warned him that he needed to let the Administrators experience the danger of the abandoned world.

That was not just an experience as training, but the calamities were also experiences for their level. Since clearing abandoned world missions became routine. The Administrator would draft the team of administrators who would join them. The reason was to increase the overall strength of the Administrator.

Arion mentioned how the Void Cult started to become active again. He was not willing to participate in the discussion or even take action as a measure against the Void Cult. He was tasked with increasing the Administrator’s overall strength.

That was how the rotation was established for the registered Administrator Teams to join in his mission.

Six months had passed, and it was time to use the gathered calamity corpses for their purpose. He didn’t do spirit summoning in those six months. He stored them for the Spirit Advancement.

He was standing in front of piles of calamity corpses, inside the storage he built to keep the dead calamities. The bodies were frozen to prevent decomposition. Not that it mattered, but the smell would be terrible.

The dwarves built the storage far from the settlement, a place for him to summon his spirit freely.

"It’s time for the upgrade, guys. Have we decided who will get the advancement first?" His voice echoed inside the storage. He was on the first floor, and there were one hundred underground floors.

The reason was that he had gathered billions of corpses. He had cleared more than ten abandoned worlds, and he got all the bodies. No Administrators dared to protest when he took the bodies. That was how he managed to gather billions of calamity dead bodies.

[ME!]

Doombringer, the Calamity Behemoth, was the first one to answer. That was not a surprise, given his disposition- greedy and selfish.

"The decision is not yours, Doombringer. We agreed Avyn, Vandir, Karan, and Zara would decide who is worthy to receive the advancement."

Tang Shaoyang threw the work on his four strongest spirits. If it was up to him, he would pick the advancement based on the summoning order. The spirits he summoned in his early days would be prioritized.

Spirit Advancement meant the spirit would get stronger, but there was a drawback. It meant it would take more Spirit Energy to resurrect them. That meant it would still take some time before they got their second chance.

[Give him first, so he can stop yelling! He is in the top 10 if you have enough materials for ten advancements.] Vandir replied, obviously annoyed based on his tone.

"Alright, then we have the first one."

Tang Shaoyang summoned Zara. "Can you move them up in one go?"

He had a massive inventory, but moving them through inventory would be a hassle. It would take a lot of time, so yeah, he summoned the expert.

Zara rolled her eyes. "Am I getting demoted into a porter?" Despite the protest, she did as he requested.

They moved up to the surface, and they were standing in the middle of an open field. It was on one of the Tarrior’s properties, which was quite far from the Capital. It was supposed to be a barracks for the Tarrior, but it was shifted into a forbidden area for Tang Shaoyang. Just for him when he was doing summoning or upgrading like this, and the dwarves transformed the underground into storage.

When he was inside the storage, the corpses didn’t look like that many, but once it was taken outside. Piles upon piles, forming a small mountain, occupied the field. There might be over a hundred million calamity bodies below, from rank 1 to rank 9.

Tang Shaoyang then summoned Doombringer. The massive spirit occupied the other side of the field, and it roared in excitement.

"Quiet, Doombringer! I don’t want your loud roar to trigger another alarm. Quiet and stay still unless you don’t want to..."

He didn’t finish his words as the Calamity Behemoth calmed down and became quiet. Doombringer sat like a good puppy, waiting for its treat.

Tang Shaoyang directed his left hand toward the materials and his right hand toward Doombringer. He then used the skill, Spirit Advancement.
