Chapter 2309: Daughter of Abyss

Tang Shaoyang guessed that Avyn, Zara, and Vandir picked their own choice except for Doombringer and Aerelion. This was not because they discussed it beforehand and came to an agreement.

"Feera!" Zara answered him.

That confirmed his guess, as it seemed the trio couldn’t come to an agreement on all picks. Feera was the Chimera Spirit, and also an early contracted spirit.

She was the result of a black mage’s research. Initially, Feera only had two heads, which were the white lion’s head and a goat head with the snake tail. The Spirit Advancement changed her as a new head grew: the eagle head.

Even though Feera had four different creatures, she only had one mind. It was the same with his True Dragon Form. He had many heads, but those heads were controlled by one mind.

"Have you asked Feera about this?"

Feera was without a doubt a fearful creature. People feared her, but she was delicate inside. When a new head grew on her, that caused her great distress, even though it made her stronger.

"We had a discussion about it, and she agreed."

Only then did Tang Shaoyang summon Feera. She was no longer titled as Chimera. Her new title was the Guardian of Abyss. That goat head turned a little bit demonic; the eagle’s white feathers started to turn dark as well.

Her advancement also increased her size as she grew bigger. She was around nine meters tall, and her body became bulkier.

"Are you sure about this, Feera?" Tang Shaoyang asked again, wanting confirmation. It was not that he didn’t trust Zara. He just wanted to treat her with care because their contract had no strings attached. Their contract was for him to create a new home for her, which was his family and empire, as well as the Spirit World.

"Yes! I want to be more helpful to you. I will not let them take my new home from me again!" Feera answered with determination.

"You might grow a new head again, you know. Or maybe a new tail..." He said that in a joking tone, but Feera took it seriously. There was a moment of silence before she replied, "I am prepared!"

"Alright then." Tang Shaoyang checked the remaining materials. It should be enough based on his estimation.

But then Zara transferred more materials from the third storage. She did it without his request. It seemed like Zara had a soft spot for Feera, and she didn’t want Feera to die in the fight against the Nirvana Alliance. That might be the reason why Zara chose Feera, even though the advancement might stress Feera out.

The Nirvana Alliance could create weapons that could kill spirits. His spirits actually died during the God Rank’s trial because of those weapons. Zara wanted Feera to be stronger so she could protect herself from the Nirvana Alliance’s weapons.

Tang Shaoyang proceeded with the Spirit Advancement for Feera. It seemed he would see a lot of cocoons with different colors today. Just like the previous advancement, Feera was inside a cocoon. Her cocoon was pitch blade as the surface released black smoke.

If Bronson’s energy was sinister, Feera’s energy was giving off an ominous feeling. The black cocoon remained on the ground as the black smoke started to influence the surroundings. The ground started to turn black because of the smoke.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t need to set up a defense like Aerelion’s advancement. The black smoke didn’t really cause destruction. It also was not Death Energy, so it didn’t really drain the life around it as well.

The cocoon burst apart as the new Feera came out. She didn’t gain a new head as she was worried about, but she gained two more tails. Her body was getting bigger, bulkier, and taller. She grew three meters taller.

Her white lion head turned black as the fur released the same black smoke as the cocoon. That was the only change on her upper parts. However, her tails underwent transformation.

It no longer looked like a snake. They had transformed into a dragon. That was right; her tail was a three-headed dragon now. They were black-scaled dragons. The head in the middle spat black fire, the head on the right released black lightning through the scales, and the left head was unknown. It didn’t show its element.

"You don’t get a new head, but you get two new tails. They seem to have transformed as well," Tang Shaoyang said in a joking tone, teasing Feera.

Feera didn’t take it as a tease as she assessed her new body properly. The three tails made a snappy movement. She released fire breath through the middle head, then the right head moved so fast, like lightning, snapping around, and then the left head did nothing.

"I have learned Black Fire Elemental Power, Black Lightning Elemental Power, and Shadow Elemental Power."

She proved it by moving between Tang Shaoyang’s shadow, Vandir’s shadow, and Zara’s shadow. That explained the power of the left head.

"Did you perhaps see a vision?"

Tang Shaoyang had developed an interest in this vision. Aerelion and Bronson managed to see something through their vision, and Feera might have seen something too.

The three heads shook. "I didn’t have a vision, but now I have this weird feeling, or maybe more like a voice calling me to return..."

"Return to where?" Zara was worried when she heard Feera’s different experience in advancement.

"I also don’t know... But this feeling is tugging me, reminding me to return..."

"Abyss! That might be Abyss calling you," Tang Shaoyang threw out his guess. That was based on Feera’s new title, the Daughter of Abyss.

"What do you mean Abyss is calling her? How do you know about it?" Zara got more concerned.

"It’s her new title. She is now the Daughter of Abyss."
