Chapter 2310: The Abyss’ Calling
Chapter 2310: The Abyss’ Calling
Vandir and Zara fell silent when they heard Feera’s new title. Their faces looked solemn, pondering what he said.
Tang Shaoyang didn’t know the implication of the new title. To him, it was just a cool title. He didn’t even know what Abyss was, whether it was a realm or an entity. But the Abyss in Feera’s title might be an entity.
"So do you know anything about Abyss? Is it a realm or an entity?"
"Oh, it’s a realm, not an entity. You don’t need to worry about offending another fearful foe," Vandir assured his Boss with a wave of his hand. "It’s just interesting that she obtains such a title."
"What about that call? Will it be harmful for her?" That was the most important thing. Zara was the most concerned one.
"I don’t think it will be harmful for her. But even if it’s harmful, we don’t need to worry about it. She is still a spirit, after all. The damage to her will be undone or healed in the Spirit World."
Vandir concluded that the voice calling Feera should not be harmful to her, "The voice is more like a reminder for her that her home is in the Abyss."
"No! My home is here with my Master! I will not go to the Abyss!" Feera had a strong reaction to Vandir’s explanation. Especially when it was mentioned that her home was in the Abyss.
"I am not telling you to go back to the Abyss, nor am I telling you this is not your home. I am just explaining your circumstances for the Boss and Zara. The voice is more likely a reminder for you that you belong to Abyss, according to the voice."
Vandir raised his skeletal hand. "Don’t be mad. I am just explaining to them what the voice is."
"Do you feel anything else? Do you feel pain anywhere?" Zara was quite concerned, approaching Feera more closely. She inspected the Daughter of Abyss with her energy to check. She was this restless because she was the one most responsible if anything happened to Feera.
"No. The voice is still ringing, but I don’t really feel any pain. I think I can suppress the voice. I just need time to adjust to my advancement."
Feera closed her eyes, her tails calmed down for a moment. She opened her eyes ten seconds later. "Ah, yes. I can feel a connection to the place that might be the Abyss, and the voice is getting fainter. I think I can completely suppress the voice later."
Zara breathed out a sigh of relief. "That’s good... That’s good..."
Feera turned toward Zara, the three dragons, and the three heads smiled at the same time. "Don’t be burdened or feel guilty, Zara. In the end, it’s my decision to advance to the Pinnacle-Rank, and I don’t regret my decision a little bit."
"I think it’s better for me to return to the Spirit World so I can adjust more quickly to my advancement."
Tang Shaoyang nodded, "You can return. But tell me if there’s something wrong in your connection with the Abyss! That’s an order!"
"Yes, Master!" Feera returned to the Spirit World.
She was the fourth to advance to the Pinnacle-Rank today. That made eight Pinnacle-Rank Archaic Spirits in total, if he decided not to sacrifice Doombringer.
"I am wondering what happens to Doombringer?" He blurted out when he thought about Doombringer.
Each advancement took around ten minutes or so. That meant half an hour had passed since Avyn brought Doombringer to her world.
"It seems Doombringer has gotten a little bit stronger. But I am wondering if Doombringer might be stronger than Avyn because she is having a hard time dealing with him?" Vandir said that jokingly.
"I am confident in taking that creature. I don’t think she would have an issue. It’s more like she might be toying with Doombringer to get out a little bit of her anger." Zara was not worried a little bit about Avyn. She had absolute confidence in Avyn.
"Since Avyn is not here, do you have the next candidate?"
Tang Shaoyang checked on his sacrifices, and it should be enough for another advancement. He didn’t need to worry about the materials. But it meant three storages’ worth of sacrifices could be used for five Pinnacle-Rank Archaic Spirit advancements.
He had nine storages of sacrifices in total. It meant he could advance fifteen spirits to Pinnacle-Rank Archaic Spirit.
"Radiance! Avyn’s choice is Radiance!" Vandir mentioned Avyn’s choice. They truly didn’t discuss who should receive the next advancement. The trio just made their own decision and came up with the name on their own.
"What about Karan? Does he pick someone?"
Vandir chuckled, and Zara rolled her eyes. "Do you think he would be interested in this? He doesn’t care. All he cares about is a battle."
Tang Shaoyang summoned Radiance. A creature made of ice aura, wearing a blue jacket this time and the same goggles. He kept releasing the ice aura, and his surroundings soon froze in no time.
Radiance, the Primal Frostbringer. His title already had primal in it. That made Tang Shaoyang curious about what Radiance would become.
"I am ready for my advancement, Boss!" Radiance raised both hands excitedly. Still cheerful as usual.
"Then let’s do it!"
Tang Shaoyang proceeded with the fifth advancement. The corpses disappeared, and the frost aura built up from Radiance’s feet. The frost built up and covered Radiance, forming a cocoon of his size. The cocoon was made of ice, constantly releasing cold aura. In fact, the aura was getting stronger, and the area was soon covered in ice.
"Radiance is already a Primal Frostbringer. What do you think he will become?" He asked the two spirits.
"Now that you mention it. Radiance is indeed already a Primal Frostbringer... This is interesting," Vandir suddenly became interested in Radiance’s advancement.
After the whole area was covered in ice, snow started to fall. The temperature went down drastically, and snow started to pile up.
But of course, no one was affected by the change in temperature. His Eternal Frost Elemental Power made him easily handle the cold, and his Chaos Fire Elemental Power made him easily handle the heat. Ten minutes passed, and the cocoon burst open.
