Ascendant Path of a Lustful Vampire

Chapter 422 422: I’m not Lorton *

Chapter 422 422: I’m not Lorton *

"My apologies," Roxanne said in that sultry voice of hers. Her red eyes were like whirlpools attempting to pull Caius closer even as he decided to remain where he was with a smile.

"I thought you'd need a rest. Before the meeting," Roxanne continued.

"I had more than enough," Caius told her.

"When? On the ride over?" Roxanne asked sarcastically with a bit of a chuckle.

Caius paused and then shook his head as he gestured toward where he had come from,

"Did you consider that I might not have come alone?" He asked.

Roxanne stood up now. Taking slow steps toward Caius, with her hips swaying ever so slightly but still very hypnotic.

"And what would that have changed?" She asked in response to Caius's question,

"Besides, you did come alone. And now that you're here, surely you won't so cruelly reject my hospitality."

She was about one foot away from Caius now. Without any heels on, she was shorter than him by a few inches but more than made up for that with the mature air that accompanied her eternally youthful and voluptuous appearance.

"What hospitality?" Caius asked.

Raising one perfect eyebrow, Roxanne retrieved a bottle from her storage ring along with two wine glasses. She filled both, sent the bottle back into her ring, and handed Caius one of the wine glasses.

Caius took it and sniffed it. The scent of alcohol, brewed strong enough to make someone of a high circle drunk. Of course, being a vampire, such an effect, no matter how strong was really useless on him or Roxanne for that matter. Which was probably why Caius could detect a note of another ingredient…

"It's Blood-mixed Wine," Roxanne said, "Try it. It's incredible."

As though to prove her point, she raised her glass to her lips and took a sip.

Caius followed suit and he was hit with the strong flavor. What should have been unable to affect his senses in any real way, managed to do so thanks to the Blood mixed in. The blood acted like a bridge, connecting Caius's changed senses to the alcohol's effect.

'The work of Blood Alchemy,' Caius thought with a smile.

He knew because he was fairly capable at Blood Alchemy himself and could only imagine how much had been spent to acquire this. Still, he liked the taste and the effect it had on his mind wasn't unwelcome.

Any more and he might start swaying in place which, judging by the way Roxanne was eyeing him over her glass was likely the goal anyway.

He stepped back from her and turned around as though to take in the room while lowering the glass from his lips. He stepped off the platform that had led to his arrival in the room and walked over to a desk where he placed the glass and touched the books on it.

He flicked through some pages and they were scrawled with Arcane symbols and personal notes.

"Yours?" He asked Roxanne.

"Who else would they belong to?" Roxanne asked as she took another sip while gazing at Caius's back.

His face was turned away and she didn't have to work so hard to not have her breath stolen away at the sheer beauty of it but the fact that his back, clothed as it was, was having an effect on her, affirmed what she had known for weeks; She needed to do something about what was building inside her before it caused her to explode.

"Lorton, perhaps?" Caius said.

Lorton was Roxanne's partner. They had been together since they were human and that relationship continued well into their immortal years together so there was a possibility that they shared the room.

"No, they're mine," Roxanne said, "Lorton and I do not share a chamber."

Roxanne spoke in an offhand manner while downing the rest of her wine. She wasn't really keeping track of what she was responding to because the longer she spent in Caius's presence, the stronger her need.

She could still remember that day in the carriage. The day she spoke to him about the treasure he was recovering— The one that was going to make advancements as a vampire so much faster and so much more of a breeze in terms of ease. That treasure remained very important to her and yet, it was secondary to how his touch had felt.

This feeling building up within her had started since the day she first met him; The day he walked into the coven, seized control for himself, and began to make changes to their operations. But at the time, she had simply thought it was normal to be attracted considering how hot he looked.

Roxanne had had her fair share of lovers over the centuries she had lived. Both when she was human and when she had become a vampire. She wasn't alien to sating her craving. But had any ever gripped her this hard? She didn't think so.

And she had impeccable memory and could remember every experience she had been through so she was sure she would know.

Roxanne had a guess for why the infatuation was so great, of course. She believed it was because of the challenge involved. Sure it was the first time she saw someone whose face revved her engine enough to give her an orgasm even without the touch but beyond that, Caius had become a really grand figure to her.

He was her Lord. A Vampire Noble, boasting an authority and kind of power she never knew was possible until she met him. Roxanne believed that identity and her being his subject were what had created such an immense expectation and some kind of mountain to climb that had skyrocketed her expectations to an immense degree.

With her wine glass empty, Roxanne sent it into her storage ring as she stepped closer to Caius, placed her hands on his shoulders, and worked her fingers all over them, shivering intensely at the sensations and thrills they caused to course through her body.

Caius liked the touch as well. His already tight pants got even tighter but his brows were furrowed as he looked over the writing in what was apparently Roxanne's Grimoire.

"These are some great insights," he said, his mind already seeing how he could use her knowledge to his advantage.

"I've lived centuries," Roxanne said, "Is any of that really impressive in that context?"

"It is," Caius said and he meant it.

Because the minds of Vampires don't get affected by the arcane symbols to frustrate them enough to achieve magical advancements like it was for normal humanoids, they can read and understand the Arcane symbols faster and better.

However, this also leads to complacency. The average Vampire doesn't bother with the Arcane symbols since they don't need them to advance and just have to be the parasites Nyx intended them to be by feeding on people to grow their strength and magic.

In other words, to see a Vampire who didn't get complacent and went the extra mile was impressive in its own right.

"Why thank you," Roxanne said like she still didn't think it was a big deal, "it helps keep me busy. Of course, it's only one thing that helps me do that.

There are other things I do to keep busy…"

Roxanne made her tone as suggestive as possible while rising to her tiptoes to bite Caius's earlobe as lightly as possible when she decided maybe subtle hints weren't enough to make her wants clear.

Caius laughed and turned around to face her.

"Roxanne, I see what you're trying to do and I advise against it," he said lightly.

"If you're advising against it, then I doubt you really see what I'm trying to do," Roxanne said with a chuckle and lunged forward while letting her tongue out from between her perfect red painted lips to lick Caius's neck.

The taste of the skin and the feeling of her breasts against his chest had her pussy juice wetting her panties. It took such great self-control for her not to let out a guttural growl and retain the seductive in-control visage she seemed intent on keeping up.

Caius sighed and raised his hands to grab her shoulders to push her back as he looked into her eyes and said in a firm voice.

"Listen to me, I am not Lorton."

Roxanne looked confused.

"I know that," she said with a little laugh.

Lorton was a good-looking man and had become an eternally good-looking vampire but to compare him to Caius would be a Heaven and Earth difference as far as Roxanne was concerned.

Caius laughed as he realized she didn't really understand what he meant. He shook his head and then leaned forward to press their lips together.

The kiss wasn't gentle. It was hard enough to force Roxanne to take a step back. Her heart skipped a few beats as her arms wrapped around Caius's back to pull him against her body using her superior strength to secure a tight hold.

Caius raised one hand to the back of her head, weaving his fingers into her platinum blond hair and securing a hard grip while his other hand slid down the smooth satin feel of her lingerie so he could reach for her ass and take a grip of it.

"Nghhh!" Roxanne groaned into the kiss as she held on to him even harder while her body spasmed and she underwent her first orgasm at his touch.

She melted into his body, melted into his kiss, and found her entire mind robbed of all sense and rationality that didn't involve just how right and perfect this was.
