Chapter 744: Killing The Enemy

Chapter 744: Killing The Enemy

The sky was collapsing.

Cracks of light had formed among the clouds, the ground trembled under the relentless pressure of the elements, and the arrays that had been Jason’s pillars of power just moments ago were now like fractured glass on the verge of shattering.

But Jason didn’t care anymore. His eyes had darkened.

"I have to end this here." Only one thought remained in his mind.

After realizing that the arrays didn’t have infinite power, and that at any moment they could collapse and lose their strength, he understood that he couldn’t allow this battle to drag on any longer.

The problem wasn’t just the arrays themselves. It was also the mana distribution centers they had set up across the capital. Those centers played a critical role in this war.

If those centers were damaged or shut down under the overwhelming pressure, the consequences would be far worse than anyone could imagine.

And more importantly... his brother would definitely kill him. Even now, that outcome wasn’t unlikely. These arrays were meant to be used to kill Varnus, not Daniel.

He slowly exhaled.

Then the mana around him... exploded.

[Elemental Catastrophe Field]

The space within a radius of several hundred meters warped. The four elements spread around him as an absolute field, a domain where every step, every movement, every breath... fell under his control.

Fire floated in the air, wind turned into invisible blades, earth grew beneath and even within the sky, and lightning coiled like glowing serpents around everything.

This was no longer just a skill.

It was a domain.

Daniel stood still. His gaze was cold, but his focus... had deepened.

Now that he understood time was on his side, he didn’t need to use all his power to win. As long as he could hold out until the arrays collapsed, that would be enough.

In fact, he might even be able to use this opportunity for something else.

Jason lowered his hand.

[Heaven Splitter Tempest]

The sky split apart.

A massive storm formed from the fusion of all four elements, a towering pillar that stretched from the ground to the sky, destroying everything in its path.

Daniel stepped forward, heading straight into the storm. He raised his sword, its aura flaring.

And struck.

Slash!

For a moment, the storm split apart.

But this time... it immediately closed again. The pressure became even heavier and more violent than before.

"You thought you could still pass through like before?" Jason smirked.

Then he raised his other hand.

[Abyssal Element Rain]

The sky turned dark.

Hundreds, thousands, of spears made from compressed elemental power fell like a deadly rain toward Daniel.

The impacts came one after another. The ground was destroyed, explosions erupted endlessly.

And within that hell, Daniel kept moving forward.

Slower, but still advancing.

At that moment, something changed.

It was a faint feeling, but real. His body was reacting.

"...Poison..." His eyes narrowed slightly.

He had felt it before, during battle, under pressure. The more he fought, the more it felt like his body was resisting the poison.

Of course, not to the point of completely eliminating it. That wasn’t possible. The poison was far too powerful for something like that.

But weakening it... that was enough.

Suddenly, an idea came to his mind. It was more of a guess, and a risky one, but it was worth trying.

Daniel took a deep breath.

Then the flow of energy in his body changed.

He began burning his life force. Pressure surged through his body, and his veins bulged.

He had tried this before, burning his life force to weaken the poison. It had worked temporarily, but after some time, the poison had returned, even stronger than before.

And now, realizing that life force alone wasn’t enough, he turned to something more important.

His bloodline.

Drops of his blood... ignited within his body.

The Fallen lineage, the power flowing deep within him, awakened.

A burning heat spread through his veins, and the poison began to retreat.

Not completely.

But his body felt lighter. His power flowed more freely.

Still, it wasn’t enough to fully restore him. He was far from that point.

His eyes flashed for a brief moment.

Jason saw it.

"...What are you doing?!"

But it was already too late.

Daniel stepped forward. The ground beneath him shattered, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Jason.

Strike.

Jason barely managed to defend, but this time the pressure was different.

He was pushed back.

Even after activating the arrays, this was the first time he had taken a hit like that.

"Damn it—!"

He wasn’t stupid. He realized that somehow, for some reason, this bastard’s power had increased.

It didn’t matter how, and he didn’t have time to figure it out.

He had to kill him as soon as possible.

He immediately raised his hand.

[World Ender Element Core]

All the surrounding elements were pulled into a single point.

A core, compressed and unstable. Its vibrations warped the space around it.

But Jason didn’t stop.

He mobilized all the arrays, pulling every bit of mana into that core. The arrays shone brighter and brighter.

Then they began to crack.

But he didn’t care.

"It doesn’t matter..."

This was a price he was willing to pay.

Daniel was a major threat in this battle. His death would be a huge blow to the Everlight Moon guild.

Jason’s eyes had gone mad.

"As long as... you die."

He poured everything he had into the core.

[Absolute Elemental Annihilation]

The core collapsed and then—

Explosion.

Not a normal explosion., sace itself... shattered, light swallowed everything.

The ground was destroyed, the sky broke apart and at the center of that destruction...

Daniel stood.

For a moment, everything turned white, No sound, No movement.

Only the end.

A few seconds later, the light faded, and the dust began to settle.

The ground no longer existed.

A massive crater had replaced the battlefield.

Jason hovered in the air, breathing heavily.

The arrays shut down one by one and then shattered.

That attack had used all of his power.

But he smiled.

"...It’s over."

His gaze fell downward, toward the center of the explosion, there was no movement.

No sign of anything.

"Dead..." He exhaled.

"Finally..."
