Ning Ge gave him a deep look and said, "A scapegoat is nothing new. As for who’s at the very top, it doesn’t matter anymore; it’s all managed by the Loo Family."

He said this and took a sip from his teacup.

"About how long do you think it will take for this case to be concluded?" Qi Taiguo asked again, with a serious expression, "As long as it’s not entirely settled, one can’t fully be at ease."

When something drags on too long, too many unpredictable factors could arise. Therefore, the sooner the verdict, the better for one’s peace of mind.

"I heard from my brother they’re speeding things up as well. The higher-ups are very concerned about this issue, so it should be soon," Ning Ge replied.

Only then did Qi Taiguo breathe a small sigh of relief.
