Ning Le and the others simply replied ’yes’ and saluted Qi Taiguo, then the two of them left together.

"I’m leaving too!" Ning Ge waved to Cheng Su and the others.

Because he wasn’t in Qing City often and staying in the compound was inconvenient, Ning Ge simply bought a small house here so he had somewhere to stay when he came over.

After everyone had left, Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo slowly headed home, chatting along the way.

"I was seeing if you’re unwell, why you’re so absent-minded?" Qi Taiguo asked.

Cheng Su felt a bit guilty and smiled, "No, I’m just worried about Xiao Ya. Xiao Pinshan asked for leave today, saying he was getting married!"

Qi Taiguo suddenly understood and said, "No wonder she seemed to be forcing a smile, so that’s why."

Cheng Su nodded and added, "But it’s for the best. They weren’t going anywhere, so ending it like this allows for new love to blossom."

"Does Cheng Yaozu have feelings for her?"

Cheng Yaozu looked at her steadily, "If you’re willing, I’ll be your partner!" As he spoke, he quickly pecked her on the cheek, saying, "Ying Xiaoya, I like you!"

It took Ying Xiaoya a long time to react, and then she gave him a kick, "Cheng Yaozu, you’re being a jerk!" and ran upstairs in a flash.
