The couple stumbled back to the Cheng family, and it was already afternoon. The house was still bustling with activity; Old Master Ning and Old Master Cheng hit it off immediately. They were reminiscing about the days of running with the Red Army, discussing the development of the era, and talking about their descendants—they had endless things to say.

The younger members of the Cheng family were either drinking tea and chatting or discussing business, while the women set up a mahjong table and started playing.

Ying Xiaoya was also there. As Yaozu’s girlfriend, she would inevitably marry into the Cheng family, so bonding with the sisters-in-law was a must. However, she wasn’t very good at mahjong and quickly lost a pile of chips.

Qi Taiguo laughed and said, "The old doctor did take her pulse and hinted it might be possible, but he wasn’t too certain as it’s very early. We did a test, and the report came back early pregnancy positive. We’ll have to go to the hospital for confirmation in a few days!"

"Oh my, there’s no mistake with a report; this is wonderful news!" Sister-in-law Cheng clapped her hands, smiling.

"Susu, you’re really pregnant!" Ying Xiaoya looked at Cheng Su’s belly happily, "This is great!"

"If you like kids, hurry up and have one with our Yaozu!" The second sister-in-law of the Cheng family laughed and nudged her.

"Second sister-in-law!" Ying Xiaoya blushed from ear to ear, stomped her foot, and sneaked a glance at Cheng Yaozu.

Cheng Yaozu said, "Sure, we can register right away!"

Everyone laughed, and Ying Xiaoya wished she could hide behind Cheng Su from embarrassment.

Qi Taiguo carefully helped Cheng Su sit down, and Ning Ge smiled, "Congratulations, finally it’s happening!"

Qi Taiguo bumped his fist gently, "Thanks!"

"So, if I become a godfather, I get to hold my grandchild soon?" Old Master Cheng said with a contented smile, "It’s been so many years, and I haven’t held a cuddly little one."

Everyone teased Ying Xiaoya and Cheng Yaozu again, as they were the last hope, while from the three generations of the Cheng family, Cheng Yaozong’s son Cheng Jiale was off doing archaeology most of the time, Cheng Jiasheng was in the army, and the youngest was just starting junior high!

"You’re so lucky, old brother!" Old Master Ning envied a bit, looking at Ning Ge, "As for us, who knows when it’ll happen!"

Ning Ge felt a headache.

After a round of laughter, Qi Taiguo mentioned heading back to Qing City the next day and suggested Cheng Su go with him.
