Cheng Su and Ning Ge found the ward where Mother Qi was located and heard cries of pain from the doorway. It was a voice Cheng Su was most familiar with—Mother Qi.

Cheng Su, with her belly protruding, walked in, to see Mother Qi lying on the bed, yelling, while Qi Fenglian was softly trying to console her.

Deng Weixia stood to one side, at a loss, and was surprised when he saw Cheng Su, saying, "Cousin-in-law is here."

Mother Qi’s voice stopped abruptly, looking over.

Qi Fenglian also approached, holding her hand, her brows slightly furrowed, and reproached, "Why are you here? Weren’t you supposed to stay home?"

Mother Qi glanced at Cheng Su’s round belly and momentarily forgot the pain, saying, "Exactly, it’s so far away, what if something happens?" After all, in her belly was her precious grandson.

"I couldn’t stop worrying, came to check on things." Cheng Su smiled and said, "Ning Ge accompanied me here, it’s alright."

Qi Fenglian looked at Ning Ge behind her, holding a bag of fruits and nutritional supplements, and said gratefully, "Fourth Young Master Ning, you’re very thoughtful!"

"How is Auntie?" Ning Ge smiled faintly, looking towards the person on the bed.

"Doctor, could you check once more, do a full body examination?" Cheng Su requested.

Mother Qi’s attending physician replied, "We can, but the costs..."

Cheng Su acknowledged her understanding.

She asked several questions continuously, thoroughly understanding Mother Qi’s entire health situation, then stopped.

Back in the ward, Mother Qi was talking with Qi Fenglian about something.

Qi Fenglian looked helpless and said to Cheng Su, "Mom wants to be discharged!"

Cheng Su froze, frowned, and said, "How can there be a discharge so soon?"
