Chapter 3987 - The Empress of the Sea of Order
Chapter 3987 - The Empress of the Sea of Order
So powerful! Two clashes had been more than enough to tell Tianming that he was no match for the bee-headed giant within the Sea of Order.
There’s still a gap between me and a true cosmic god! As long as I haven’t become one, there will always be limitations.... He couldn’t fight it to the death now, especially since his weapons, wonders, and totem simulacra were currently all falling behind his needs.
Better to retreat for now. At the moment, the only advantage he still had was Meow Meow’s speed, which he could use to create distance and figure out his next move. The Thousandway Blitzrun enveloped him in black and white lightning as he picked a random direction to escape the swarm.
“I thought your name meant Heavenly Fate? Running away with your tail between your legs already?” Sixth's vita relentlessly chased after him.
“Oh? Trying to provoke me? That only proves you really can’t catch me. Or maybe you’re more desperate than I am?” Tianming chuckled, urging Meow Meow to go even faster.
Soon, all the small bee-headed people had been thrown off. Only Sixth's vita remained in pursuit, but it couldn’t keep up at all; all it could see was the lightning getting more distant.
“Since you’ve come in, you aren’t getting out. Death’s your only fate. Don’t bother struggling,” Sixth's vita’s voice echoed again from behind.
“Heh.” Tianming didn’t even bother replying. Since this was its trap, the hunter would grow more anxious than the hunted if it couldn’t catch its prey.
As Bai Ling had said that Moran and Zi Zhen were doing fine, Tianming had no reason to panic.
“You stand on the side of the universe, fighting us lowly parasites? Then I’ll show you how parasites cling to life,” Tianming laughed as he disappeared into the depths of the Sea of Order, completely losing Sixth's vita and its mount.
It was finally peaceful for Tianming again. “This place is seriously weird.” He stopped and began observing the surrounding Sea of Order. “It’s clearly the same place, but it feels completely different than when I entered it with just my caelum.”
Back then, it had felt like a world of order. But now, with his physical body present, it felt like a real world. It was almost like a hexagonal continent, which had been subdivided into further hexagons that continued to be split, like a fractal. Each hexagon had its own order, and the smaller the hexagon unit was, the more detailed its order was.
I wonder... can I still obtain new orders here? Forming order was the key step between gods and astral gods. From a cultivation perspective, Tianming had no way to send his caelum back into the Sea of Order. But the thing was he was already inside it. He tested it with his caelum, but all it could see was an endless white nothingness, all signs of order gone.
Just as I thought—it won’t work. Tianming didn’t really mind, though, as he already had so many types of order. If he got any more, he could expect to never break through again.
The greatest order on the Sea of Order’s main side is the imperial order, and lifesbane order on the reverse side. I already walk both of those paths. Getting more orders from here wouldn’t really matter. Having thought it through, he stopped bothering with orders and instead chose to deepen his understanding of the Sea of Order itself.
Are the order apians part of the undying aeternals? How many lifeforms exist here? What forms do they take? There was only one way to find answers: send out Yin Chen! As soon as he was out of danger, Tianming released a massive swarm of Yin Chens.
“The storm... is too... fierce. It’s... hard to... move move...” it grumbled.
“It’s fine. Take your time,” Tianming said.
“You should... really take... some supplements... to boost... your kidneys!” Yin Chen retorted with disdain.
Once Tianming’s immortal kidneys evolved into a cosmic god organ, Yin Chen would also transform. Its bodies wouldn’t be so restricted anymore and could go anywhere without trouble.
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll take my supplements...” Tianming groaned.
The good news was that, when Sixth's vita had entered the Sea of Order, the entire Ancient Oldgod Domain had effectively fallen under Tianming’s control. He now had an easy source of the overflow fragments needed to become a cosmic god.
Even though he hadn’t captured Sixth's vita yet, he had already achieved his main goal.
If I hadn’t gotten greedy and chased it in here, I could’ve just destroyed the wonderians, conquered the orderlies, and taken the entire Ancient Oldgod Domain.... Still, he had wanted to eliminate the unknown variable, Sixth's vita, for his peace of mind. And he had never expected to fall into such a dire trap.
Luckily, Moran and Zi Zhen were holding the line. Without them, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Just as Tianming frowned and thought of his next move, a female voice came from the ring that imprisoned Huang Qi. “So... you’ve finally made it here.”
The mature and chillingly elegant voice belonged to Huang Qi, a being who had once shattered his worldview.
“So what?” Tianming indifferently replied.
“Want to know the secrets of the Order Relic and the undying aeternals? I can help raise you to become the Emperor of the Sea of Order,” Huang Qi said.
“Emperor of the Sea of Order? Weren’t you that before?” Tianming raised a brow.
“Talk to me through your caelum,” she said.
“Fine.” Tianming let his caelum enter the ring and dive into the illusory world within. It had been a long time since he had been there.
To his past self, the dark green hive had been colossal. But now, with a several-hundred-meter-tall caelum, the hive seemed much smaller. He could still see the countless honeycomb chambers filled with young bees and bee-headed creatures. In the center was the largest chamber, covered by a thin membrane, and behind it lay a massive shadow about a kilometer long.
Tianming knew it was Huang Qi’s true body.
At her peak, she had likely been far larger. But after having been sealed for so many years, she’d obviously been greatly weakened.
When Tianming approached the largest chamber, he saw three shadows pressed against the semi-transparent film, roughly arranged in a triangle.
The first shadow was clearly her face. Pressed against the membrane, it revealed a glimpse of a dignified and noble woman’s appearance, like a true empress. As for the other two shadows pressed tightly against the film.... Well, Huang Qi was definitely a woman!
With Tianming’s height today, he could finally speak on equal terms with the giantess. The pair looked at each other across the membrane.
There was no mistaking it. Huang Qi was stunning and possessed a majestic and commanding beauty. But Tianming couldn’t shake the fear that she might suddenly sprout a bee head and turn into a body horror.
He didn’t waste time. “Enough games. Tell me how we can work together.”
