Chapter 4010 – It’s a Trap

The strengths and weaknesses of the ashuras were common knowledge. Thus, many opponents had tried to exploit those weaknesses, but it wasn’t easy. Take Dugu Yao, for instance. His formidable fiendsky eye could launch soul attacks and he had many warbeasts by his side.

That was why Tianming’s instant kill caused such an uproar. Shock rippled through over a thousand worlds as countless members of the Eightpart Pantheons were left stunned, as if they had been slapped silly.

“Dugu Yao didn’t even manifest his cosmic god essence! That means his soul was instantly destroyed!”

“But the soul’s the strongest trait of the ashuras....”

Billions of voices cried out across every nova source world. Targeting the weak point of an ashura wasn’t much of a feat. But to crush their soul in a head-on contest utterly disgraced the ashuras!

A cloud of malice hung over the Ten Desolate Starforges, but in many corners of those worlds, large numbers of flameyellow descendants etched that purple figure deeply into their memory. For most, it was their first glimpse of Tianming; they didn’t even know what to call him.

But in their hearts, the image of his figure crushing the Eightpart Pantheons would never be lost.

Dugu Yao’s death happened in just an instant, turning the three-vs-seven into a three-vs-six. Neither side could guarantee their victory in the battle, not even Tianming. When he killed Dugu Yao, several attacks had already struck his back. Fortunately, Ying Huo and the others helped block them.

Thankfully, Dugu Yao’s death had sent the souleater starbeasts into a frenzy and they began indiscriminately attacking, which relieved the immediate crisis for Tianming's trio as none of the three were particularly afraid of soul attacks. But aside from the wonderian sisters, most of their enemies were vulnerable to such attacks.

The souleater starbeasts let out piercing, soul-shaking shrieks as they wildly rampaged, adding immense unpredictability to the fight!

"Come to me! Don’t wander off!" Zi Zhen had taken several hits. As she got back up, she shouted to Moran. Just moments ago, she had used her body to block Jin Mo’s spear, protecting Moran from being impaled!

No sooner had Zi Zhen finished speaking than a massive millstone smashed down behind her, pinning down the primalwinger Yushen Gui!

“Got it.” Moran expressionlessly replied.

The two had just saved each other. Despite their disagreements, their cooperation was surprisingly in sync—it was like a cursed bond of fate!

Seeing them able to support one another reassured Tianming.

“Take them down one by one!”

“Keep that man pinned down!”

The six remaining opponents had seen Dugu Yao’s miserable death and were now wary of Tianming’s ability to flank and assassinate. Thus, they immediately split their forces in half to deal with him. Tianming was now targeted by the deva, Jin Mo; the wonderian sisters, Tianhai Yixue and Tianhai Yifeng; and the totemancer, Shao Xingru!

As for the remaining opponents, Yushen Gui, Yu Hui, and Man Yueling formed a team of three to surround Zi Zhen and Moran.

They had a strategy. They clearly recognized that Tianming was the core of his trio, and the one with the killing capability. If they could take him down, the balance would tip in their favor!

The other battlefield was merely meant to delay the others.

Man Yueling focused on Zi Zhen, while Yu Hui and the doomsday forbidden beast tied down Moran. Meanwhile, the primalwinger maneuvered around to push the two women away from Tianming.

Like that, Tianming found himself surrounded by three groups of powerful enemies! The wonderian sisters flanked him on his left and right. They shrank their wonders to a narrow range to target only him, focusing their offensive power.

Billions of pearls crashed down on Tianming like a tidal wave, each pearl carrying terrifying penetrative force. It was Tianhai Yifeng’s jadesea brightpearl wonder. It wasn’t just dazzling in appearance, but also one of the deadliest wonders in the Ten Desolate Starforges.

On the other side, Tianhai Yixue emanated a chilling aura. Her wonder was the snowrealm iceheart wonder. It was just as beautiful as her sister’s as it turned the battlefield into a wonderland of snow, where countless snowflakes fell, each laced with razor-sharp edges.

The wonderian sisters encircled Tianming in a zone of annihilation and the vast world suddenly felt inescapably small.

At the same time, Jin Mo and Shao Xingru attacked from left and right. Both the golden three-headed, six-armed specter and the divine kingdom maidens were truly hard to deal with.

“What now?” Meow Meow asked.

“Run!” Tianming shouted. Their enemies weren’t easy pickings, so why take them head-on?

“Huh?!” Meow Meow thought there’d be some plan, but no, they were still relying on itself!

Tianming used Thousandway Blitzrun, escaping from the two wonders’ killing range!

“A coward?” Jin Mo sneered and gave chase alongside Shao Xingru.

“Yep, you’re totally right.” Tianming didn’t even look back as he bolted.

“You’ve lost all dignity for men.” Shao Xingru shook her head, baffled. Just moments before, the guy had seemed like a bold hero. So why was he now running like a coward, not even daring to fight face-to-face?

The answer was simple!

The enemy considered Tianming the flaw to exploit. But as long as he didn’t let them gain that advantage, it meant he was winning. Instead, he could make Zi Zhen and Moran’s side his team's chance to seize the advantage.

Underestimating those two will dearly cost them! Tianming led the trio of enemies far enough away to prevent them from offering support, just in time for a deafening clash to erupt from the other battlefield!

“Hmm?” Tianming, Jin Mo, and Shao Xingru turned their heads and saw Zi Zhen, with seven hall-eyes activated, twist off that beastmaster Yu Hui’s head with her bare hands!

Another one down!

Seeing the fierce glint in Zi Zhen’s eyes, the enemies belatedly realized the balance of the three-versus-seven chaotic battle had just been completely broken!

“Damn, badass!” Those two made Tianming look good!
