Chapter 4294 – The Ruinless Zone!

Like a blood-red sun hanging over the Skyplunder Capital, the crimson sphere soon shrouded the entire city in a ghastly, blood-tinged glow. The body of every cosmic god present seemed to be stained with scarlet light.

“Th—the Adjucator... has personally descended upon our Nullity Starcage...” One after another, the Nullity cosmic gods widened their eyes in astonishment. A profound reverence slowly grew in their gazes.

Within the crimson sphere, shadows flickered. And on its surface swirled eight blood-soaked vortices that seemed to resemble either eight gaping maws, or eight ears.

Immediately, the Nullity cosmic gods bowed their heads in unison and paid their respects.

Only Li Muyang, Sage Chen, and Imperator Feng managed to keep their cool.

“The Adjucator descends!” Yueling Xiao hurried forward to greet him, his face full of reverence.

The bloody light of the sphere continued to illuminate the world, and within it, a shadow gradually took form. An ethereal voice that belonged to a young man drifted out. “I have learned the full account of the Violetmoon Fortress.”

At that, Yueling Xiao immediately grew spirited and said loudly, “Please, Adjucator, seek justice for the victims of our Yueling Starcage!”

“Please, Adjucator, uphold justice for us,” Imperator Jian bowed low and spoke with deep respect.

The crimson radiance swept over them, before focusing on Li Muyang.

“In this matter, it was your Yueling and violetlightblitzians who first erred,” the Adjucator said, his voice utterly calm and mechanical, devoid of emotion. His words seemed to make the entire Realm of Chaos tremble in resonance.

“We admit that much! But—⁠” Yueling Xiao looked at Li Muyang and coldly uttered, “Nullity Starcage has overreacted. They have slaughtered more than sixty million of our people, enjoying tenfold vengeance already! Yet now they seek to seize the Violetmoon Fortress, and they hold one hundred and seventy million cosmic gods as hostages, hoping to use them for further gain. They are openly destroying the peace of the Realm of Chaos!”

Imperator Jian took over, his tone even icier. “Adjucator, we have only made reasonable demands. We were even willing to overlook the massacre of our sixty million kin, but Li Muyang refused diplomacy and refuses to release the captives. He clearly intends to incite war in the Inverse Battlefield! If such conflict continues, all billion soldiers of the realm will pay the price in blood! Such carnage, all because of this man’s obstinacy! I beg you, Adjucator, please uphold justice for the sake of all!”

Hearing this, many Nullity cosmic gods grew tense.

“Nonsense!”

“They were the treacherous schemers who kidnapped our people and tormented them for years! That pain was worse than death!”

“We of Nullity Starcage have always followed the rules!”

Their furious roars shook the heavens. None of them intended to yield, their recent great victory having given them immense courage.

As both sides argued, all eyes turned anxiously to the crimson sphere.

What would the Adjucator decide?

A sudden flash of crimson light from him silenced every voice. Only then did the sphere turn its gaze toward Li Muyang.

“To pacify the flames of war,” the Adjucator intoned, “I propose that you release the captives and withdraw from the Violetmoon Fortress. You need not send your young son to Yueling Starcage. Do you agree?”

Li Muyang bowed slightly and said, “Adjucator, these two races have long bullied and oppressed Nullity. If we do not teach them a lesson now, they will only grow more unbridled in the future. Therefore, I can’t agree to that for now.”

The crimson sphere fell silent.

Yueling Xiao and Imperator Jian smirked, clearly hoping Li Muyang would defy the Adjucator’s will.

After a while, the Adjucator spoke again, “Neither I nor that one wish to see war erupt in the Inverse Battlefield. Therefore, someone must yield. Since both sides claim injustice, I have decided this: a match shall be held in the Ruinless Zone. Both sides shall contend fairly. Let a contest decide victory in place of large-scale war, thus saving many lives.”

“We of the Yueling Starcage fully support the Adjucator’s decision!” Yueling Xiao agreed at once, then added coldly, “If we win, the Nullity Starcage must release the captives, withdraw their forces, and deliver Li Tianming to us!”

“We of the violetblitzians also support the Adjucator’s decision,” Imperator Jian said icily.

“And if you lose?” the Adjucator asked evenly.

Yueling Xiao fell silent for a moment, saying nothing.

Imperator Jian turned toward Li Muyang. “Let Imperator Skyplunder name his terms.”

It was clear they meant to force him into accepting the wager!

“Don’t agree!”

“We can just keep the hostages; what can they do?”

“If we refuse, it means defying the Adjucator and that other one! They’re neutral arbiters. If we openly defy them and they side with our enemies later, we’ll be doomed!”

“Hmph! Yueling Xiao is fawning like a dog. The Adjucator is already leaning their way, he just won’t say it outright!”

The Nullity cosmic gods murmured among themselves, all having some measure of pessimism.

What would Li Muyang, Imperator Skyplunder, do? All eyes turned toward him.

The seemingly composed man slowly lifted his head and met the Adjucator’s gaze. “Very well, I shall name a wager.”

But now, the famously upright and solemn Imperator Skyplunder had repeated and even amplified that absurd bet.
