Chapter 625: High Society - The King Awakens!
Chapter 625: High Society - The King Awakens!
In a large, elegant boudoir, several beautiful Djinn with various coloured skin helped a handsome young man into his fine silk garments, a patterned robe, soft pure cotton pants and a velvet sash. The women secretly stole glances at the frail man’s face through their veils while blushing faintly.
Vladik remained silent while gazing towards the open balcony. He bit his lower lip while a small letter placed on the table fluttered in the wind. Today, he would meet his dear sister after the longest time apart.
’Is she doing well, has she truly found someone to marry...’
He clicked his tongue and shook his head with a sigh. A cold atmosphere spread through the maids, who froze solid, their faces turning pale. ’Could she endure this annoying situation, where a simple action causes people to react as if they might die in the next second?’
’That kind girl?’ His lips curled into a smile. ’That snot-nosed brat, who chased me calling "Brother!" "Brother! Don’t go, don’t get married!" "Zara is here, Zara will be good!" Now she’s apparently attending the incognito royal banquet with a partner.’
"Head maid."
"Yes, Your Highness?" A mature beauty, with a beauty spot between her eyes, knelt slightly upon hearing his call.
"Have you heard anything about the partner of my sister?"
Her eyes shifted as she peeked at the balcony, lips curling into a faint smile. "The Princess will be attending? I have not heard much, Your Majesty. However, he seems to have passed Guardian Princess Verda’s test."
"What?!"
’That old crone actually accepted a man!’
Vladik’s blood pumped faster, his hands trembled as his excitement grew. His memories of his Aunt Verda and her daughter Zana remained vivid—a woman who abandoned her chance to become Queen for her sister’s children.
’Aunt sacrificed her youth to become Zara’s Guardian. She takes that role extremely seriously, so for a man to succeed... He must be powerful and have the status to protect my sister.’
Once these thoughts passed through his mind, a sudden burst of heat spread through his stomach, then exploded the energy and warmth seeping into every cell of his body.
The poor prince gasped like a maiden.
His cheeks grew colourful almost instantly, and the previous sickly expression and looks seemed like a joke. The head maid’s eyes widened upon seeing his soul force suddenly surge with dominance.
Vladik closed his eyes, accepting this wondrous feeling.
"Oh my..."
"It’s so energetic."
The maids near his waist blushed as they saw their King’s true force; his body overflowing with vigour like never before. To the head maid, this sight carried more significance; she couldn’t help but become rushed.
"Your Highness, allow me to leave and inform the Queen to prepare to greet them."
"A...Ah..... sure, that’s good."
’W-What’s going on? Why do I feel so much power? Ever since I became sick, I struggled to lift my arms without feeling fatigued. My poor wife suffered a lonely time... but I can feel it, for the first time in ten years!’
A brilliant smile, like the radiant dawn, appeared on his face.
’Sister, to think your wellbeing and safety could lift the stone sealing my path... Oh, what a stupid doting brother must be.’
The palace soon stirred with rumours that the King’s illness had recovered, and once this reached the Queen’s palace, her face flushed, and she broke protocol. She rushed to her husband’s room, only to find him sitting in a daze.
The next moment, her lips curled into a beaming smile as she unfastened her delicate ribbon, letting her robes fall to the floor.
"Husband, we can finally..."
Soon after... the maids fled from the room with rosy, pink cheeks.
"Maybe an heir will be born!"

The sky remained bright, with a faint orange hue as Vladik lay spread in a t-shape, a soft weight leaning against his right arm. This afternoon, he finally completed his official role as a husband for the first time.
’No matter how much we tried, the medicines or positions...’
Vladik brushed the damp hair from his wife’s cheek, enjoying the sight of her glossy lips and radiant glow.
He struggled to move, his hips and muscles screaming in pain. Yet, he didn’t care; this was the honour of a man. To grant his wife the pleasure of a woman, something he’d long resolved himself to fail.
’My dear brother-in-law. This gift you have given me in advance, how can I repay you?’
The banquet would begin in four hours.
He glanced at his wife, knowing she’d have to spend most of that washing and preparing herself. But he truly didn’t wish to disturb her deep sleep. Instead, he would rather remain in bed beside this true beauty.
Once a man tasted the sweetness of a woman’s love.
They find themselves unable to resist, like a bee drawn to the pollen of a flower.
Vladik stroked his wife’s delicate shape, his heart pounding as he felt the same reaction again, knowing this wasn’t a one-of-a-kind tingling to his spine.
"Wife..." He shook her gently, "Wife, there’s still some time, right..."
"Mm, darling, let me sleep, it hurts."
A wry smile grew on his lips, hearing this cold, strong Queen’s soft, lovely voice.
He heard this tone for the first time when she came into his room. The moment she saw him, her eyes brimmed with tears, and she dove at him, devouring everything he could give in an hour of intense, passionate connection.
Knock Knock!
"Your Highness, although I am overjoyed at your recovery... The Queen needs time to prepare for tonight’s event, as you know... The Balthazars will be in attendance, and should our Dear Queen be absent, they might cause trouble."
Alas, as a King, he could not indulge in such pleasures when, later that night, a grand event would be held.
’Damned Balthazar’s!’
He cursed only in his mind, while the anger dissipated. The next moment, a soft pair of arms clung to his side, thanks to the unique body of a Djinn; the extra arms allowed for more intimate and affectionate displays than normal.
’You are the greatest thing that ever happened to me... Verna.’
Vladik leaned over her face, ignoring her pretence of sleep and gently kissed her smooth cheek, before sliding from the bed. "I love you, Verna." He stepped into the robe held by a pair of older maids, their eyes covered by black veils. "Now I feel worthy of those words, so please accept them."
"In this Cinder Court of Qazir, only you can stand at my side."
He watched her for a few moments before turning back and addressing the head maid. "Serve my wife well." The beautiful madame nodded with a bow before he stepped forward and ordered the unseeing maids beside him. "Guide me, we must prepare for the banquet."
.
.
.
The thick double doors closed with a loud noise.
Vladik didn’t look back again and left the room.
Verna lay in the shape of a starfish while rolling in the sheets. A distorted broad grin on her lips as she curled up. She placed a hand on her stomach, stroking it gently, while another pair of arms gripped the sheet which carried Vladik’s scent.
"FINALLY!"
Verna jumped onto the bed, exposing her alluring, devastating figure, plump, pear-shaped hips, a bouncy, round rump and two dominant mounds of soft justice. She narrowed her eyes, revealing a hint of pure bliss.
"Ahem, Your Highness." The Head maid cleared her throat while averting her gaze.
"Kyaaa!?"
The normally strong, fierce and icy Queen let out a girlish squeal because of theMaid’ss sudden voice. "Y-Your still here, Auntie?" What followed was a softer, more affectionate way of speech.
"Little girl, you never change."
"Hmph, who are you scolding... I finally received his love; he gave me everything, Auntie!"
The head maid came from the Balthazar family, someone who served as Verna’s guardian, a beautiful and elegant woman. "You little girl. Your mother asked me to protect you and your happiness, now you taste a man, and you want to escape me?!"
"Auntie~ how could I abandon you?"
Vladik might collapse if he saw this side of his wife, a cute little cat hanging off the olderMaid’ss arm while swinging.
"Your Highness, please think of your dignity."
"Not that~ call me Verna, please Auntie, just for now. Later, you can be stiff, okay? Yeah?"
Verna’s heart fluttered after Vladik’s manly display. She listened to his monologue after they finished, learning that it was thanks to his getting over his sister’s situation. "To think that little tomboy found a man... and someone that battle maniac accepted." Her lips curled into a sly smile.
"Your Highness..."
"Auntie! I must prepare for the banquet; help me look charming and mature. Now that I am a true woman and have completed my duties, there is nothing to hide or pretend. Those old fools who think I will betray my dear husband are nothing but idiots!"
"I want to meet my future brother-in-law and thank him!"
After this, the Queen hugged the head maid; she remained stiff, but soon hugged the little Queen, stroking her back gently like a mother.
"I’m happy for you, my dear little Verna."
"Mhm!"
"You worked hard, endured so much for this day."
"Nn!"
TheMaidd served as Verna’s guardian first, something that Vladik knew and accepted. She knew this was the main reason he gave her the role normally taken by the King’s guardian.
Even if that were true, Vladik’s guardian perished earlier this year.
"We cannot let our guard down now that you could conceive, Your Highness."
Upon hearing her Aunt’s words, the pretty Queen’s shoulders shook, and she slowly looked up with wide eyes and her mouth wide open. "Conceive?!" She then pulled away, twirling as she wrapped herself in the silk sheet.
"Ah, Conception, what a fine and beautiful word~"
Watching Verna like this, the Head Maid could only shake her head. "It seems we’ll be here for quite a while. It seems this time it’s serious..."
