They were right. Jian Chen’s life energy was not endless. After all, even a sovereign god artifact’s powers were not truly endless. Once they experienced battles of high intensity, even items as powerful as sovereign god artifacts would run out of power.

The Source of Life in Jian Chen’s body was in a weakened state right now as well. It was not in peak condition.

The seed of ways was connected to the formations of the Skyscraping World. With the formations in the way, it was impossible to stow it away in any spatial god artifact.

“Source of Life, I’ll leave my body to you.” Jian Chen made a decision. Resolve flooded his eyes. He equipped the Divine Armour of Heavenflight and used its toughness to block the attacks from all directions, preventing his body from being pierced again and again. Afterwards, he ignored his physical injuries, enduring the devastating barrage as he refined the seed of ways.

Their attacks lasted several hours before gradually stopping, but once the violent storm of energy dispersed, they discovered through the formations that Jian Chen was still unscathed.

The Source of Life immediately slowed down Jian Chen’s recovery rate. The Immortal Exalts who spent every moment watching Jian Chen noticed this very quickly. They were all elated, and their attacks immediately became even more intense.

“You’ve reached your limit with the healing?” A hundred kilometres away, a streak of light flashed through the Ancestor of the Clear and Cloudy’s eyes as he lay in hiding. “I wonder if you can still endure my secret technique? I better send you off quickly. Once the sovereign god artifact ends up in the hands of others, it’ll be much easier to take.”
