Chapter 1037: Family Meal-1

As Asher stood at the mirror admiring himself, a knock resounded across the room. It was Lyra.

"Come in," Asher replied as his hands slipped into his pockets, his purple eyes turning towards the door.

Lyra stepped in. Despite her change in power scale, she remained respectful. She hadn’t made herself look younger, as she remained like the forty-year-old woman that she was, still dressed in her usual maid attire.

"Young Master, the other Suns and Moons are already heading towards the Dining Hall," she stated, as Asher had instructed her to inform him when the others started moving, as he didn’t want to be the first there. He always preferred arriving last, as he hated waiting.

Asher nodded at her words and turned away from the mirror, facing Lyra as he asked.

"How do I look?" He turned sideways a bit, as though showing Lyra his outfit.

Lyra smiled as she shook her head. "You don’t need to ask, Young Master. You look perfect in anything you wear."

As she spoke, she walked forward and seemed to rearrange his hair into a style that perfectly suited what he wore. Asher simply nodded the moment she was done and started heading towards the door. Lyra, who was already behind him, opened the door through Astra energy as Asher stepped out with calm ease.

Together, they headed towards the Dining Hall. Two minutes later, they arrived, as Asher’s room was located in another wing of the Wargrave Castle. As he arrived, he saw Conrad, Malrik’s personal butler, and the butlers and maids of his siblings all standing at the door as though waiting for their Young Masters to be done.

Asher simply walked past all of them as they bowed. The guards at the door opened the double doors as he stepped in. The moment he entered, his eyes danced around as he took in everything. It was his first time here since his transmigration, although he was familiar with it through his memories. But seeing something in person was always better.

The Dining Hall was huge, immense to say the least. A large chandelier fitted with crystals that cost a fortune at minimum hung overhead. A red carpet draped the ground, while murals of horses and what seemed like various Wargraves wielding weapons as they charged into war could be seen on the walls, while curtains lined the windows. And at the centre was a huge rectangular glass table that seemed almost transparent, and around it were eleven chairs with the same design.

The moment he entered, his siblings, who were already sitting, turned their heads towards him. They simply nodded at him and said nothing as they relaxed and waited for Azaron to arrive. Asher didn’t speak either. He simply walked over and sat beside Thalric, as it seemed the seating arrangement had been according to their birth order.

"It’s a shame nobody overdressed. I wanted to make fun of someone at least," Ezekiel spoke with a disappointed sigh as what he had been looking forward to didn’t happen.

Wuthenya shook her head as she replied, "Why would anyone overdress? This isn’t some Noble ball or something," her tone light as she sat beside Malrik.

She wore what seemed to be a silk grey nightgown with a silk robe of the same colour and fitting over it, and it wasn’t even night; it was still 2 p.m. in the afternoon. And true to her words, everyone was dressed as basically and lightly as possible, not a single one of them wearing shoes or anything of the sort.

Before anyone else could speak, the door opened and the last person walked in. Eyes turned towards the door as Azaron walked in, the light in the room catching his immense physique and broad shoulders as he moved with a flat expression.

He wore black shorts that stopped just above his knees and a beach button shirt designed with flowers. On his feet were the same type of loafer slippers Asher wore, but Azaron’s name was carved into his, as though they had been made personally for him.

Nobody was surprised at his attire; they had all seen him wear something similar. But the Suns and Moons were sure that the maids and butlers who saw Azaron in such casual clothing and an outfit would lose their composure. After all, everyone hardly saw him in anything that wasn’t his combat suit and armor, as the man seemed ready for battle at all times.

"It seems I’m the last to arrive," Azaron spoke as he walked and sat at the head of the table.

Malrik, who was at his right-hand side, rolled his eyes as he replied, "As if anyone would arrive after you."

A small smile appeared on Azaron’s face as he didn’t bother denying it. But one day, just one, he would disown this ungrateful son of his.

"Let’s ignore your elder brother and get straight to the meal," Azaron stated, ignoring Malrik. "I hope you guys are hungry, because I am," he added, as he didn’t wear his normal stone-carved expression today.

Olivia, who was seated beside Thalric, spoke. "Do Crownstar Life Rankers even still need to eat? How are you and Brother still hungry when you guys have already entered the stage of evolution?"

Malrik’s blue eyes moved towards her as he replied, "While we can go over a year without food, it doesn’t mean we don’t need it. We can still have cravings for something specific, food still tastes the same and all that," he explained with a flat expression. "So no Crownstar Life Ranker walks around on an empty stomach despite being able to survive a year without it."

Olivia, hearing Malrik’s words, simply shrugged. She felt it would be better if Crownstar Life Rankers could survive without food. After all, it was a Life Rank that was said to be the rank of evolution. Well, at least according to what she had read.

"When you get to the Crownstar Life Rank, you can find out for yourself. For now, let’s eat," Azaron stated as he shook his head. With that, he clapped his hands once.

The moment he did, the door was pushed open and various maids and butlers walked in with various food carts and wines, each of them wearing gloves and perfectly tailored clothing. Personally, Asher had never seen these maids before, but he simply watched.

Various cuisines and dishes were served with calm ease as each butler and maid made sure not to touch any Sun or Moon by mistake. The butlers poured wines into various transparent glasses before setting the bottles down on the table, and before a minute could pass, the entire table was filled to the brim, as there was simply no other space left.

’Are they feeding the entire Empire or something?’ Asher thought to himself at the ridiculous amount of food on the table.

No food was served yet, as they were all in medium-sized plates with covers, because as the various cuisines were served, everyone was meant to personally serve themselves.

The maids and butlers simply bowed and left.

"Shall we?" Azaron asked the moment the door closed behind them.
