Chapter 563: Irreversible Chaos

Chapter 563: Irreversible Chaos

Asher sighed as he watched the scene before him; in front of him was the naked Debro, having sex with nothing but thin air as he drowned in his strange and fetish-ridden fantasy.

Asher was not a fool, although he might be smart and strong, he knew there was never a guarantee that his plan would work one hundred percent of the time. Besides, why should it? Because he was smart? Because he had a system? Because he was a transmigrator? Please, he was not that naive and hopeful. Even people who could see the future in the various novels he had read back on Earth found that their plans hardly ever went according to their expectations, and unforeseen variables always emerged.

Asher had already accounted for the Wavestar Life Ranker sensing him or catching him, although he did not know how the entire situation would unfold, or when he would be caught, or if he would even be caught at all, but the probability undeniably existed. He had learned long ago that arrogance was the downfall of many powerful individuals, and he refused to allow himself to fall into that same predictable trap.

The real Asher had indeed been captured by Debro, but when they were still outside, before Debro forced Asher to kneel, Debro had long since fallen under Asher’s illusion without realizing it. Normally, beings of such calibre should be able to see through illusions to some certain extent or possess resistance against them, because of their immense perception and heightened senses and sheer difference in existence.

But Asher’s illusion was no mere illusion, his own illusion did not work like how other illusions functioned, after all, his illusion worked by bending the light the eyes received, hence fooling the information the brain processed and interpreted. Hence, Asher was never directly affecting or controlling anybody during his illusions, the only thing he did was manipulate light and deceive the brain itself, which was fundamentally undetectable through conventional perception.

The moment Asher had entered this room with Debro, he had already removed himself from the entire scenario and stood at the side as he watched like a silent and detached spectator. Although Asher could try to kill Debro right here and now, he knew it was not so simple and straightforward.

One could fool a lot of things, but the Sixth Sense was hardly one of them, although in general the Sixth Sense could be fooled to a certain degree under specific and carefully controlled circumstances, Asher did not want to risk his entire plan in order to attempt to one-shot Debro recklessly and prematurely.

Asher could not help but sigh as he looked at the naked Debro, who in his mind was having sex with "Asher," completely immersed within his fabricated reality. Asher shook his head with quiet disdain and a faint sigh. With a single thought, he created a photon clone to take his place and maintain the deception flawlessly.

Illusion through light manipulation had a drawback, one which Asher was still trying to fully understand and overcome. Unlike normal illusions, which an awakened individual could simply create and leave without needing to manipulate them in real time, leaving their victims trapped endlessly within fabricated worlds of their own making, Asher’s illusion needed to be controlled continuously in real time, because he was actively manipulating the light photons in the air to construct and maintain his illusion.

If he stopped manipulating them, then who would maintain the distortion? Hence, his illusion would crumble the instant he ceased his control over his Astra energy. So, if he left here without preparation, Debro would immediately become aware that everything had been nothing but a carefully constructed lie, so he created a photon clone to continue manipulating the light photons and sustaining the illusion seamlessly in his absence.

’Well, everything went better than expected,’ Asher thought to himself, but he knew he had to increase his pace, after all, once Debro was done indulging in his illusionary fantasy, that man might decide to go through the entire building to check if there was anything out of place or suspicious.

Asher turned and walked away, leaving everything to his clone, he stepped into the next room by phasing through the wall effortlessly, where the guards of those mad scientists were stationed, gazing around vigilantly, Asher could not help but wish he had some poison-like ability, he would simply poison all of them here and they would die silently without ever realizing what had happened.

With that thought, Asher stepped into the next room as he phased through the wall once again, here the guards who stood watch over the Emovirae could be seen clearly, they seemed to be playing a game as they barely stared at the heads-up display before them with minimal attention or concern.

’Only one of them is watching properly, just like before,’ Asher thought to himself, then immediately created an illusion on the spot, he mimicked it so perfectly that the guard who was staring at the screen would never notice the discrepancy.

As for what Asher was mimicking, it was the live feed videos of what was happening within the Emovirae cell chamber. The Emovirae within Asher’s illusion had the same roars and range of motion as every Emovirae displayed, of course he had to add subtle variations and differences, so it would not appear as though a particular short video was playing on an endless and repetitive loop, he would be caught instantly that way.

Leaving another clone within this place to maintain the illusion and oversee the deception, Asher stepped into the Emovirae cell chamber itself, the plan was simple, free the Emovirae and allow them to cause destruction and madness, their numbers were so overwhelming that the guards who were guarding this place had absolutely no hope of stopping them or containing the inevitable catastrophe.

But of course, he knew that once this began, Debro’s illusion would inevitably be broken by the resulting commotion and chaos, but it did not matter, by then he would have already saved the villagers and amassed a staggering four hundred thousand points as his well-earned reward.

With that, his figure blurred, he appeared within every cell with seamless precision, breaking the chains holding the Emovirae, his speed swift, precise, and silent as he teleported between each imprisoned Emovirae, while putting each and every one of them under an illusion, as he did not want even one of them to begin the rampage prematurely, he wanted it all to erupt simultaneously in perfect and devastating synchrony.

Within a few minutes, Asher was done breaking every chain and cuff, with a faint smirk of satisfaction, he teleported away from the chamber, and the moment he left, the illusion fooling the Emovirae shattered instantly and their senses snapped back into place as they all realized and noticed their newfound freedom.

And with that, madness ensued, malice peaked to suffocating heights, anger rose violently toward the sky, Astra energy erupted in thunderous blasts, and the fragile illusion of order collapsed completely into irreversible chaos.
