Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 747: Live Stream

Chapter 747: Live Stream

He walked toward the living room which was situated at the side of the suite. Entering it, another television and gaming console could immediately be seen, but Asher ignored them. The living room possessed the standard settings and luxurious arrangement one would normally expect, there wasn’t exactly anything new that he hadn’t already seen back on Earth.

’So they don’t have AIs here, or maybe they do but it simply hasn’t developed to the extreme yet,’ Asher thought as he walked calmly across the living room, his eyes observing everything around him.

’I was expecting a virtual reality gaming pod or something similar, but it seems my expectations were too high,’ he mused inwardly. ’It seems their technology isn’t that much more advanced than Earth’s after all,’ he concluded as he walked away from the living room and headed toward the walk-in closet section of the room.

The closets were designed with elegant glass doors that smoothly slid sideways when opened. Asher merely waved his hand lightly, and his clothes immediately appeared from his space ring. With that, he slowly began arranging his clothes neatly into each individual section of the closet without rushing himself in the slightest.

After finishing that, he headed toward the bathroom next. The bathroom itself was connected together as one large section, but divided into four separate areas. One section possessed a massive Jacuzzi where people could simply soak themselves and relax. Asher wasn’t particularly surprised by it since even the Zarethorne Empire possessed Jacuzzis of similar quality.

The second section contained the Water Closet toilet, and even the door to that section was crafted entirely from transparent glass. The third section was the shower area itself. Asher paused there for a moment, his eyes lingering upon the shower thoughtfully.

While the Zarethorne Empire possessed both Jacuzzis and Water Closet toilets, they strangely didn’t possess showers, something Asher genuinely failed to understand. To him, showers should have logically been simpler to create than Jacuzzis themselves.

The final section simply consisted of a massive table positioned against the wall with a gigantic mirror fitted perfectly above it. Various skin products and cosmetic items were neatly lined up across the tabletop in organized arrangements.

Asher stared at the products for a brief moment before shaking his head dismissively. As a man, he didn’t particularly care about skincare products or cosmetic treatments, to him, such things belonged entirely within the women’s department.

With that, he walked toward the final section of the suite.

It was a smaller enclosed space that functioned almost like a miniature kitchen or beverage area. A large refrigerator stood there, filled with all kinds of drinks ranging from sugary beverages that parents back on Earth would constantly warn their children about due to fears of diabetes, all the way to bitter alcoholic drinks and luxury beverages.

There was even a coffee mixer positioned neatly at the side, but Asher wasn’t really much of a coffee person.

The more Asher explored the suite, the more he genuinely felt like crying inwardly. He couldn’t help but wonder why he hadn’t transmigrated directly into the Thalvorn Empire instead. With all these technologies and luxuries available everywhere, he probably would have lived the exact same comfortable and relaxed life he once had back on Earth.

He released a light sigh before discarding the thought entirely. What was already done was done, and besides, he was genuinely happy that he had reincarnated within the Zarethorne Empire, specifically into the Wargrave family.

’I wonder if other Empires possess outrageous families like the Wargraves,’ Asher thought to himself as he stood there silently for a moment.

’Should I visit their Library?’ he questioned inwardly. After all, that would naturally be one of the fastest ways to understand the Thalvorn Empire better.

But the very moment the thought appeared, he immediately killed it. When he had first transmigrated into the Zarethorne Empire, the very first place he had gone to was the Library. Now that he was within a completely different Empire, he was already considering visiting another Library first once again.

No, that could come later.

Asher walked back toward his room, and the instant he entered, he heard the ringing sound of his room’s bell echo softly, his eyes shifted toward the door immediately. Through his senses, he could already detect several familiar presences standing outside; William, Finch, Ryaen, and Vaelric.

Even though it was almost four o’clock in the morning, not a single student had actually gone to sleep yet.

And honestly, how could they?

How could they possibly sleep while surrounded by such advanced technology? Most of them were undoubtedly spending their time fiddling around with the televisions, gaming consoles, applications, and every unfamiliar piece of technology they could find.

Asher didn’t even bother responding to the door. He simply ignored them completely.

If this had been another ordinary Empire, he might have welcomed them in without hesitation, but with the existence of all this entertainment and technology, Asher already planned to spend the entire morning holed up within his room alone.

Of course, later on, he would naturally respond to them and probably even teach them how to play games properly or explain what movies actually were. But for now, this was personal time he intended to selfishly enjoy by himself.

Just as Asher was about to lazily throw himself onto the bed, another thought immediately surfaced within his mind. Since this world possessed technology advanced enough to rival Earth, then espionage and information gathering no longer necessarily required physical spies hiding nearby. Instead, tiny listening devices and miniature hidden cameras could accomplish the exact same thing far more efficiently.

The moment the thought appeared, Asher immediately expanded his Omni Perception to its maximum range throughout the entire room.

Every single inch of the suite was scanned thoroughly, the walls, furniture, lamps, mirrors, electronics, vents, and even the Air Conditioner itself were all carefully inspected by his perception, but after searching for several moments, Asher found absolutely nothing suspicious whatsoever.

’I wonder why FatelessPen didn’t think about this possibility,’ Asher thought inwardly. But after considering it for a moment longer, he eventually arrived at a conclusion.

FatelessPen probably simply couldn’t be bothered with such matters because the Gentle Hotel realistically had nothing to gain from spying on mere students like them. Of course, one could argue that observing them would reveal their abilities or personal strengths, but to Asher, that argument was honestly stupid.

The strong were strong. The weak were weak.

Everyone already knew about Azaron’s Nebula Affinity, but what exactly could anyone realistically do to stop him because of that information? Absolutely nothing.

"I’ll start exploring when the sun rises," Asher spoke aloud as he jumped onto the soft bed like an excited child. Picking up the television remote once again, he continued exploring the countless applications available and eventually came across a live-streaming app.

Naturally, Asher already knew about live streaming from Earth, but now he was curious whether such things were genuinely popular within the Thalvorn Empire as well.

Without hesitation, he clicked on the application, the moment he entered, the app instantly recommended the most popular live streamer currently active at that moment. Since he had absolutely nothing else to do, Asher casually joined the stream.

But the instant the livestream loaded, his eyes were greeted by a fierce battle between a man and an enormous tiger-like beast. The two were violently clashing against each other at that very moment.

Asher arched an eyebrow slightly, he genuinely hadn’t expected someone to actually livestream their own battle. Although Asher wasn’t physically present there, from the attack patterns and the force behind each strike, he quickly arrived at a conclusion.

The battle was occurring between two non-awakeners.

Meaning that the tiger, despite lacking Astra Energy entirely, could still effortlessly crush every beast back on Earth, while the man fighting it was also performing physical feats no human from Earth could ever hope to achieve.

Asher’s eyes shifted toward the viewer count, there were already over a hundred million people watching the livestream. Comments, donations, gifts, and countless emojis continuously flooded across the screen while viewers spammed reactions excitedly.

Asher found himself intrigued, so he simply continued watching silently.

After several minutes of brutal fighting, the streamer eventually emerged victorious. His body was covered in injuries while blood dripped from several wounds as he panted heavily in exhaustion. One had to remember that the man had been fighting in complete darkness despite it already being around five o’clock in the morning, though he seemed to be wearing some form of night-vision goggles.

The man casually took out bandages and wrapped them around his injuries while thanking his viewers and readers for watching and supporting the stream. After saying a few final words, he ended the livestream.

"That was actually fun to watch," Asher murmured softly before immediately diving into another application within the television, fully determined to enjoy absolutely everything this Empire had to offer.
