After leaving the Resistance, Shinji went back to Canopy with Luluane and her group. They had been told to wait until the scouting team returned, but of course no one thought about breaking up. Instead, they sat together and started chatting.
There was still much they didn’t know about each other—Luluane’s serious personality, Shinji’s ability to use succubus powers, and many other things that could fill the time.
Since Luluane and her disciples had no way of contacting their original world, Shinji didn’t hide the fact that Freri was half-succubus. He spoke openly, and also asked them about their daily lives in their homeland whenever something caught his interest.

In her world, Luluane had declared herself a servant of the goddess, not tied to any nation. In Shinji’s terms, it was like the position of Miko Arian—a representative of the goddess. That was why she always tried to be pure and upright.
She had saved Tiana and the others because of an order from Goddess Padra, and it made sense that the three had such deep faith.
Besides Tiana and Tiona, there were many other disciples, ranging from beginners to experts. Luluane had brought these two because they were among the most talented. Naturally, the other disciples admired her as “Master.”
Because of her position, she would accept advice sincerely if given in good faith. But here, in a world where trust was not yet built, such words could sound more like harsh scolding than help.
Richt, the leader, had realized that she was misdirecting her feelings. If he had spoken to her privately after the meeting, it would have caused less friction.

Avoiding details about his past as a seducer, Shinji instead told them about being used in his father’s magic experiments, thrown into another world, and being taken in by a succubus. He gave a small, bitter smile as the women grew quiet.
”It’s all in the past. I don’t mind anymore.”
”…You suffered so much since you were a child,” Luluane said softly.
Her refined upbringing showed in her words, while Tiana and Tiona said nothing. Having been sold off by their parents, they felt a bit of kinship with Shinji, though he didn’t notice and kept talking.
Before long, noise spread outside Canopy. People rushed back and forth, and it was clear something serious had happened. Luluane stood up to check, but then Richt’s voice called out from outside.
”Forgive me! This is an emergency!!”
Shinji and the others hurried out and found Richt, pale and out of breath. He had run at full speed, but even before catching his breath, he spoke.
”The scouting team has been found by the enemy. I need your help to rescue them!”
”Of course. We’ll get ready at once. Tiana, you’re coming with us. Tiona, guard the base.”
”Yes!”
”I’ll go too. What’s the situation?” Shinji asked.
”I’ll explain at the gate. Let’s go!”
At the edge of the camp, the same members from before had gathered. The air was tense. Richt pointed to the far-off sky. A red smoke signal was rising in the distance.
”That’s the emergency flare I gave them. They were to use it only if discovered and unable to escape.”
”No way… Tekto-sama!?”
Shinji looked to Luluane, who explained that Tekto was Richt’s right hand—a master of stealth, so skilled that even she needed a summoned beast to detect him.
That such a man had been forced to use the flare shocked everyone. Even Richt struggled to believe it.
”The scouting team was searching near the base we destroyed before. They must have run into enemies who came back. Even an Apostle of God would find it hard to catch Tekto. For him to be found means one of their strongest must be there.”
Still, Tekto was also one of the Resistance’s best. If he focused on escape, Richt believed he would not be captured easily—and the others thought the same.
”The scouting team is vital. We can’t abandon them. It’s dangerous, but we’ll form a rescue squad from the fighters. Understood?”
”Yes, sir!!”
”Luluane-san, I want you and your people to clear the way again.”
”Of course. Leave the strong enemies to us.”

There was no guarantee that Goddess Arian’s protection would always be there. A mage had to use whatever he had to get the best result.

As Shinji and the others moved out, Richt prayed for the safety of his partner and closest friend. But reality was cruel.
At that same time, not far from the smoke signal, Tekto lay on the ground, crying out shameful sounds.

• Resistance – A group of fighters opposing the Sect Theocracy, marked by black bands and composed of various races.
• Luluane – Female. An apostle of a different goddess. She has long, flowing hair and a pale complexion. She is sincere and remorseful for the accidental summoning, repeatedly apologizing and showing genuine concern. Her relationship with Shinji is initially tense but becomes more relaxed as they work together. She is also a summoner and has a close bond with her disciples, who see her as an older sister figure.
• Canopy – The resistance’s main command tent, first seen in Ch.640. A large pavilion used for war councils and maps, symbolizing the heart of strategy and leadership. Think: ‘war pavilion.’
• Padra – Female. A goddess. She has orange hair styled in twin tails and a petite, delicate appearance with modest chest proportions. Her personality is carefree, cheeky, and playful, often acting bratty. She manages the world where Shinji was summoned. Her power revolves around summoning magic and phantom beasts. She has a friendly but sometimes audacious relationship with Arian, often pushing boundaries.
• Tiana – Female. Luluane’s first disciple. She has blue hair tied in a round bun, a petite build, and a well-defined, feminine figure. Energetic, confident, and competitive, she is quick to speak and express gratitude. Her relationship with Shinji is respectful and positive.
• Tiona – Female. Luluane’s second disciple. She has red braided hair and fluffy cat ears. Slender yet curvaceous, she is modest, quiet, and reserved, contrasting sharply with Tiana. Her relationship with Shinji is polite and apologetic for the rude summoning.
• Richt – Leader of the Resistance group ‘Liberators,’ who welcomed Shinji and led strategy discussions.
