Chapter 1782: Strange Growth In Strength (1)

Being flung through space for a second time, Xuan Hao barely managed to keep himself conscious as he landed on the ground and rolled into a nearby tree, sensing his immediate surroundings with a barely perceivable release of his divine sense that covered the space a little over a hundred meters around where he had landed.

Well... At least it doesn’t look like I ended up in the middle of a demon beast nest, but the overall situation isn’t that different...

Narrowing both his eyes slightly as he thought this to himself after his divine sense scanned through his immediate surroundings, Xuan Hao’s gaze slowly focused on a ledge located only a little over fifty meters away from the tree he had ended up crashing into.

Although he had little to no information on the Verdant Abyss outside of what little he had managed to learn from conversations with Huo Fen, he still recognized the ledge that had appeared a short distance away from them as the true beginning of the abyss that was in the name of the Verdant Abyss, a place that was deadly even to someone who had broken through to the Star Formation Realm.

The fact that they had landed just at the edge of this abyss instead of falling into it was already considered lucky, but the reason for his somewhat pessimistic train of thought had to do with the fact that although the edge of the abyss was known to be safe and devoid of demon beasts according to Huo Fen, the area around the edge was considered the most dangerous region outside of the abyss itself, as it was where most of the powerful demon beasts in the Verdant Abyss resided. The weakest among them having at least reached the Land Creation Realm in terms of strength, while the stronger ones had reached the Star Creation realm.

Even if their current location could be considered relatively safe inside the Verdant Abyss and would be able to provide him with a place to recover his strength, it would hardly make a difference considering he would have to pass through a region teeming with powerful demon beasts far beyond his current cultivation realm.

As for the Land Creation Realm continuing to chase after them? He highly doubted something like that would happen considering the other party should at the very least be aware of just how dangerous it would be to do so.

Angry as he might be, it was unlikely he would throw away his life to get revenge on someone who ultimately hadn’t ended up seriously harming him or his subordinates.

Whoosh~!

With this thought in mind, Xuan Hao informed Huo Fen and Meng Jie about their current situation before he closed his eyes and went into deep meditation to recover from the injuries he had ended up suffering during the escape.

Considering the current situation, Huo Fen and Meng Jie said nothing, as they similarly joined him in quietly meditating. The main difference being that the two of them were still somewhat on edge as they kept looking around themselves in case any demon beast happened to pop up.

As for using the Stardusk Essence to help recover his strength? He had thought about doing this but decided against it.

Instead, he planned to ask Huo Fen for it after he recovered from his injuries to elevate his strength as much as possible before attempting to break out of the Verdant Abyss for a second time.

After all, any of the Stardusk Essence’s energy used on recovering his strength could be used far more efficiently when it came to elevating the strength of his spiritual sea further. After all, the main purpose of the Stardusk Essence wasn’t healing.

The main risk that came with this decision was that he would be in a rather helpless state for a day or two and wouldn’t be able to respond in case they were attacked, but if the information Huo Fen had provided about the Verdant Abyss was true and the Land Creation Realm cultivator decided against chasing after them, it would be worth it... And in the end, this turned out to be the correct choice, as two days soon flew by without a single demon beast appearing nor any spatial disturbances that would indicate the Land Creation Realm cultivator chasing after them.

Because of this, Xuan Hao managed to fully recover his strength during his two-day deep mediation. Opening both of his eyes with renewed vigor and a hint of surprise.

During the recovery process, everything had gone as expected until he began sensing the state of his spiritual sea, where he discovered that the size of his spiritual sea had increased from 82 kilometers to 85 kilometers.

But that was not the most surprising thing. Instead, it was the fact that the depth of his spiritual sea that had been slowly growing alongside his spiritual sea had suddenly doubled. Going from a little over hundred meters to 200 meters.

In simple terms, the overall capacity of his spiritual sea had doubled and for seemingly no reason. Unless... Getting knocked around by the spatial formation was somehow beneficial?

But if that was the case, everyone would happily throw themselves at the spatial formation to get beat up, something he didn’t seem to have seen nor heard about.

So, something different, but what? Did my Stellar Dao Body or Three Immortals Bloodline awaken and cause the foundation of my spiritual sea to grow stronger? No... If that was the case, I should have noticed something, but... Then what in the world was it? Did my strength really increase from getting beaten up by the spatial formation...?

Not knowing what was behind his sudden increase in strength, Xuan Hao could not help frowning slightly as he continuously scanned his body with his divine sense in search of any abnormalities but found nothing even after half an hour of intensive search through his own body, dantian and soul. Leaving him with only one option to find an answer...
