Chapter 1866 New Artifact, Fancy Shovel

Chapter 1866  New Artifact, Fancy Shovel

Having the secret support of Elder Song, Mui ended up successfully creating the artifact for expanding the size of the Qi Spring Lake without encountering any problems along the way outside of a few curious elders who were wondering what she was up to, something that wasn't too odd considering her reputation in the sect.

Luckily for Elder Song, who had originally thought he would have to step in, Song Jia had managed to successfully resolve the situation for her friend without giving anything away about what the two of them were up to.

That aside, Mui didn't waste much time after she had finished the artifact that would help her expand the Qi Spring Lake. Almost immediately getting to work testing the artifact out under the nervous gaze of Elder Song, who was relieved to discover that the artifact worked as intended without any side effects. Allowing someone who was only in the Domain Lord Realm to easily slice through the tough surface of the Seventh Star Peak that was difficult to dig even a small bit into for someone in the Soul Ascension Realm.

No… Not just allow someone to dig through it but directly cut a large section out in a matter of seconds. Creating a rather odd square expansion for the Qi Spring Lake with the first expansion to the Qi Spring Lake by Mui. The process itself without any disturbances and fluctuations outside of the spiritual water that came rushing forth to fill up the square shaped expansion to the Qi Spring Lake.

Unless someone had been paying close attention to this rather empty section of the Qi Spring Lake that Mui had chosen to test out her new creation, a rather fancy looking shovel covered in what should be some kind of formation symbols that even Elder Song wasn't able to recognize, they wouldn't have even realized there had been any changes to the Qi Spring Lake.

Of course, this was only the beginning and the disturbance created later would undoubtedly be far greater and attract far more attention. For this reason, Mui prepared herself for the inevitable. Handing over the fancy looking shovel to Song Jia before instructing her to dig out an already agreed upon area while she herself prepared to construct the formation she had come up with that would increase the quality of the qi spring that had been chosen by her due to its location being the most separated amongst the different qi spring. Ensuring minimal damage to the surrounding qi springs in case something ended up going wrong.

Although Elder Song felt grateful about this consideration, he was less than pleased seeing how Song Jia had been dragged along to be the one digging out the Qi Spring Lake- or more so that she seemed happy to do this even knowing that part of the area that had been agreed upon by them to be dug out was directly bordering some of the buildings lined up near the Qi Spring Lake.

The buildings in question being a rather popular tea house that had been set up by one of the sect's elders as a relaxation location for the sect's elders, while another was the personal home of an elder who had blocked one of Mui's earlier creations. Looking over the chosen buildings who would soon find themselves directly bordering the Qi Spring Lake, Elder Song came to a sudden realization that all of them except one were public buildings. Meaning that the expansion of the Qi Spring Lake wouldn't affect any of the sect elders and would only end up affecting the sect's own establishments, something that Elder Song found tolerable and guessed was the doing of his little granddaughter.

Only a single unfortunate elder would end up affected and would have to relocate, something that was acceptable in Elder Song's eyes if Mui could really succeed in improving the quality of one of the qi springs, as that was something that would benefit the entire sect.

In case her expansion efforts ended up affecting too many elders, he might have been forced to step in, but for now, it seemed like Mui and his granddaughter had already thought about everything. Even the one elder whose home would end up being affected just so happened to currently be away on a sect mission to the borders of the sect's territory as a guide for younger disciples planning out on their first adventure outside the sect.

Even if he ended up learning about the situation of his home, it would be far too late for him to get back in time to do anything about it even if he made use of the sect's teleportation formations, something that Elder Song felt was done knowingly… And Mui didn't seem to think that far ahead when it came to this kind of stuff. Meaning the one behind this little scheme should be none other than his granddaughter…

Realizing this, Elder Song had no idea what to think.

Part of him felt troubled about it, but another also understood that this kind of development was good for his granddaughter. At least it meant that she wouldn't be taken advantage of when journeying outside the sect in the future.

Thinking about the future when those two left the sect to explore the wider world outside the sect, Elder Song suddenly felt a hint of pity for whoever ended up encountering these two. One being a born troublemaker, while the other was turning out to be far more scheming than she appeared.

"Maybe I should suggest Xuan Hao let the two of them out of the sect together. Even if they are still young, Mui is already in the Domain Lord Realm. Exploring the territory under the sect should be more than safe enough… And would also save me and a few others a lot of extra work…" Muttering this to himself as the thought of having Mui and Song Jia leave the sect for experience too hold, Elder Song decided he would bring it up with Xuan Hao later. Especially after he realized how much trouble this would save the sect.

Not that Mui was detrimental to the sect, it was just that it was far too stressful to keep an eye on her. Even more so now that his little granddaughter had decided to team up with her.

RUMBLE-!

As Elder Song found his thoughts wandering, thinking about how relaxing his job would be in the future after Mui and his granddaughter left the sect to gather experience, a loud rumbling sound suddenly swept through the entire Seventh Star Peak. Catching the old man and thousands of elders and disciples off guard, as not even a seconds later the figures of dozens of elders appeared in the air around the Qi Spring Lake. Amongst them Xuan Hao, who had momentarily been woken up from his mediation by the small earthquake that had swept through the Seventh Star Peak.

Arriving right next to the surprised Elder Song, whose gaze was now locked firmly on what could only be described as an empty lakebed. Not even realizing he had arrived, as a single building belonging to a certain elder tipped over and fell into the massive empty lake that was already starting to fill up with spiritual water from the spring in the distance.

It was not that Elder Song had looked away from Mui and Song Jia after the fancy looking shovel had been handed over to his granddaughter and Mui rushed off towards the qi spring. Instead, it was because he had not expected the fancy looking shovel to just instantly dig out such a large area with a single swing from his granddaughter.

After all, he had clearly seen how only a small square chunk had been dug out earlier when Mui had tested it out. Never had he thought it would be able to instantly dig out such a massive area.

Even if it had clearly exhausted his granddaughter, it was still terrifying to think the artifact had allowed her to dig out such a massive area from stone that even someone in the Soul Ascension Realm found difficult to dig through and even impossible to scratch after reaching a certain depth that the artifact had already moved past.

Ignoring the disbelief written all over Elder Song's face as he looked towards his little granddaughter, shovel in hand proud of the chaos she had caused, Xuan Hao instead focused his attention on Mui.

Watching with interest as she drew all kinds of formation symbols that he had never seen before around one of the qi springs. Making it clear that these formation symbols were of her own creation.

Worrying, but to be expected considering her past when it came to the Dao of Blacksmithing and the countless strange artifacts she had created so far.

In a way, creating brand new formation symbols seemed to be a given for this little troublemaker, as Xuan Hao found himself genuinely curious about whether or not attempting to comprehend these new formation symbols would aid his own comprehension of the Dao of Formations.
