Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1865 Secret Guide

Chapter 1865  Secret Guide

During the few weeks since her failure to convince her master to help in increasing the size of the Qi Spring Lake at the Seventh Star Peak, Mui had found herself busy working on creating an artifact that would be able to allow her to dig out the tough mountainous terrain in a short time together with Song Jia. The reason for there being a focus on it being fast was because she understood that she would have to finish everything before Elder Song could show up and stop her. Understanding that there would be little chance for her to get anywhere near the Qi Spring Lake in the future if Elder Song ended up catching her in the act.

Thinking about how she was doing all of this for the benefit of the entire sect, Mui could not help feeling a sense of excitement at how speechless Elder Song would be after she ended up succeeding. After all, she understood full well just how much the old man valued the development of the Star Shattering Sect.

If she really did end up doing something that ended up benefitting the sect, like she had already managed to do a few times in the past, the old man would be more than happy to praise her and reward her, something that felt especially gratifying considering how he was pestering her most of the time whenever she came up with a new way to help improve the sect.

Even if most of those improvements turned out to be rather disastrous in their own way, they didn't end up killing anyone and had at most caused a bit of damage and wasted a few resources. Nothing major and definitely not something that should have made the old man so critical of her whenever she came up with a new way to improve the sect. Always shooting her ideas down by calling them too reckless, too dangerous or too wasteful.

But then again… One of the main reasons why no casualties had emerged due to some of her creations might have had to do with the existence of the chaotic qi formation that guarded the sect and would normally activate to restrain whatever chaos she ended up causing. Not that Mui thought about any of this, as she just thought Elder Song was overly worried about everything. Unknowingly, Elder Song could be considered the main reason why Mui's creation had not caused any serious damage to the sect so far, as he didn't just prevent her from creating some of the more dangerous things she had wanted to make, but also helped steer her train of thought and creations in a more productive direction that ended up creating things far more useful to the sect.

In a way, the formation that Mui wanted to create with one of the qi springs at the core was also something that had been guided by Elder song, as she had originally wanted to make a formation that was similar to the chaotic qi formation and have it merge together with the chaotic qi formation to make it easier for it to absorb chaotic qi. Improving the quality of spiritual qi within the Shattered Star Peaks under the protection of the chaotic qi formation.

Without question, it was clear that the chaotic qi formation, the guardian formation of the Star Shattering Sect and the core foundation of the entire sect, was far more important than a qi spring and there was no way Elder Song would allow Mui to start messing with the sect's guardian formation.

Although he felt that it should be impossible for someone only at the Domain Lord Realm to influence such a massive and powerful formation, it was Mui, and he didn't dare to let his guard down around anything she created.

For this reason, Elder Song had worked to steer the young disciple towards another direction after learning about this little idea from his granddaughter, who had shared the grand plan of modifying the sect's guardian formation with him. Shifting Mui's attention away from the guardian formation and instead directing it towards other places, one of which seemed to be the Qi Spring Lake.

Even though… Elder Song couldn't recall mentioning the qi springs to her and only recalled mentioning something regarding Zu Fei and the water lotuses she had been growing back then…

That aside, Elder Song had succeeded in turning her attention awa from the guardian formation of the sect, as Mui was now wholeheartedly focused on using her new formation to increase the quality of one of the qi springs.

Now the problem had become how to turn her attention away from those qi springs or figure out a way to ensure that she succeeded in what she was planning on doing without having it turn into some kind of deadly calamity for the sect.

The way to do this was rather simple, providing her with lots of rare materials for her to use. The more, the better.

This was the only real way Elder Song had found that seemed to be able to increase the chances of whatever she was making turning out successful, as there wasn't really any way for him to understand her creation process. Only providing a lot of resources helped.

Painful as this was, Elder Song had dedicated a significant portion of the sect's resources to helping Mui secretly whenever she felt inspired to create something that would be incredibly useful to the sect. Having her find these rare resources randomly while wandering around the sect, as he had long since become aware of the fact the little troublemaker would come begging him for far more resources if she knew that he was the one secretly helping her out from behind the scenes.

And because of how close his beloved little granddaughter had become to Mui, he had also kept this information from her.

The only one who really knew about this little situation being Feng Chen, who had been more than happy to support Mui's weird creations after one of those creations ended up allowing his comprehension of the Dao of the Sword to breakthrough to the Small Success Realm, while at the same time also allowing his Sword Intent Realm that had been stuck at the Half Step Sword Soul Realm or the Nascent Sword Soul Realm, to breakthrough to the Sword Soul Realm. Reaching the Sword Formation Realm of the Sword Soul Realm in a single step.

As for what the creation in question was that had caused this kind of rapid improvement in comprehension of the Dao of the Sword… It was a rather unusual sword that had essentially flown off just after its creation and pierced the stomach of the unsuspecting Feng Chen before providing him with a moment of enlightenment on the Dao of the Sword in the process of piercing his stomach.

A truly interesting situation, as Feng Chen had been in the middle of an important meeting with a group of sect elders when he had suddenly been pierced through the stomach by a sword before laughing happily in joy as the sword slipped out and left behind a large gaping hole behind while it broke apart the second it landed on the ground.

To say those elders were surprised would be an understatement, as half of them thought the sect master had been infected by some kind of poison by the sword that had pierced him, while the others thought they might be under some kind of illusion. None of them believed that the joy of the sect master had been genuine before the person in question realized how odd his current state was and explained the situation. Making many of those elders turn to look longingly at the sword fragments on the ground. Wondering if they too could experience an epiphany if a sword pierced their stomach as well…

All that was to say, Feng Chen was more than happy to support Mui.

Meaning Elder Song had the full go ahead not just Mui's master to watch over her and manage the situation as he saw fit, but also that of the sect master.

Because of this, Elder Song had found himself sneaking around the Qi Spring Lake over the past few days. Secretly hiding a few of the precious resources that Mui and his granddaughter were searching for.

As for why those two never thought it was odd to encounter so many precious resources out of the blue? That was simply because both believed that these treasures had just been tossed out by the elders who were living nearby.

Dumb as this was, Elder Song dared not to question the intelligence of his own little granddaughter and merely blamed this kind of carelessness on them being inside the sect and not thinking there was any danger around them. Instead, finding himself far more focused on the weird looking shovel that had taken shape over the past few weeks. Hoping sincerely that it would work out as intended with all the resources he had given the two over that time.

After all, outside of wanting the two to succeed, he also wanted an artifact capable of easily digging through the almost impossible to dig through mountains to help expand the space available on the Seventh Star Peak by digging a few underground cultivation rooms or abodes for the younger disciples.

At the same time also wanting to increase the storage capacity of the sect by digging out a few cellars and other underground locations for storing interspatial rings or things that weren't suitable for storage inside interspatial rings.
