Different from what the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire had expected to happen after he informed the city lord of the border city about the emergence of a Star Creation Realm cultivator in the Northern Central Region, no Star Creation Realm cultivator appeared to take a closer look at the situation in person. Instead, he soon enough learnt from a few Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators who had come from the Southern Central Region, that the current state of the Southern Central Region was far from peaceful.

Not because the Southern Central Region faced an external threat like the demonic cultivators that had now firmly established themselves in the Northern Central Region, but instead because one of the hidden sects that had long since been established within the Southern Central Region had ended up clashing with a major religious power for some unknown reason.

Originally, this kind of clash would have been far from enough to cause waves in the Southern Central Region, but the clash between the two powers had not ended with the two sides retreating but instead ended with one of the ancestors of the hidden ancient sect pulling out an ancient talisman that unleashed the full powered attack of a Venerable Realm cultivator.

Strong as the religious power facing this hidden ancient sect was, in the face of a full powered attack of someone in the Venerable Realm, it stood no chance and the two guardians of this religious power comparable to someone in the Star Creation Realm ended up perishing during the clash.

Although the religious power itself survived, its baking and holy ground had essentially been wiped out during the clash. Leading to a situation where the bordering powers wasted no time rushing in to finish the job, as the figure from the ancient hidden sect left without a word after having essentially wiped out the main backing of this once major power without bothering with the resources and treasures that were left behind.

What followed was chaos that had soon enough spread throughout most of the Southern Central Region as countless powers rushed in to try and seize the cultivation resources and treasures that had been left behind… And unfortunately, the major power behind the border city happened to be one of the major powers most intimately involved in the current struggle for what had been left behind following the fall of this once glorious major power.

Even with a Star Creation Realm cultivator emerging from the Northern Central Region, it was doubtful that they would care when they were already busy trying to get their hands on cultivation resources and treasures that would be genuinely useful to their own cultivation.

The only thing that could change their mind would be if something more valuable like the inheritance of a Venerable Realm cultivator appeared, but, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire had no plans of giving up on that precious inheritance that he had already been attempting to get his hands on for the past tens of thousands of years.

The demonic cultivators might be in control of those ancient ruins where the inheritance was located, but the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire wasn't the slightest bit worried about them finding it. After all, even Star Creation Realm cultivators who had searched through those ancient ruins in the past had ended up missing that well-hidden inheritance. No way did he believe that the demonic cultivators would be able to find.

Not to mention, even if they happened to find that inheritance, he understood from personal experience how difficult it was to reach that inheritance in the first place, as it was guarded by countless still fully active formations that hadn't weakened in the slightest over the years, as they were the very core of the massive complex of ancient formations that should have ones covered the entirety of the ancient ruins beneath the capital city of the Blue Sea Empire.

The way he had worked on reaching the inheritance wasn't through strength, but through comprehending those ancient formations, as he realized that a path had been left behind within those formations for someone to follow to safely reach the inheritance and through the tens of thousands of years he had spent painfully comprehending the Dao of Formations and charting his path through those ancient formations, he had managed to reach the three fourths of the way to the inheritance.

In a way, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire was silently hoping that the Blood Sea Demon King would run into the inheritance and recklessly enter it, as those formations still retained their full strength and would undoubtedly be far stronger than the attack he had launched towards the end of his struggle against the Blood Sea Demon King.

Still, this was only his silent hope for what he wanted to happen, as he understood full well how miniscule the chance of something like that happening was in the first place.

"I wonder how long it will take for the situation within the Southern Central Region to calm down again…" Silently muttering this to himself as he continued letting his thoughts wander after the sudden realization that his original plans of retaking his empire would have to wait, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire slowly slipped into a silent meditation focused on recovering the remaining injuries still left within his body after the clash with the demonic cultivators.

Not much different from him, the newly promoted Land Creation Realm Ancestor was also in the process of recovering, as though he had been able to function normally so far, it was clear that the injuries he had ended up suffering were far from light. Not just because of his lower strength, but also because of the sheer pressure that had been placed on him just after he had broken through to the Land Creation Realm before he even had the time to stabilize his cultivation base.

Although the original plan was to retake the capital within a few days, the old ancestor felt that it might not be so bad to wait a few weeks to recover while the situation in the Southern Central Region was settled.

The fact that he might have ended up facing someone in the Star Creation Realm and had ultimately been spared for now thanks to actions of a hidden ancient sect from the Southern Central Region of course remained completely unknown to Xuan Hao as he found himself using his time looking through the younger disciples of the sect who had yet to take on a master to see if there was anyone suitable to become his disciple hidden among them.
